While the laundromat was clean, their washers were NOT. All washers had a gross green slime around the seal of the door. The washer never added my fabric softner that I put in at the beginning of the wash. Also the woman running the counter, Coleen or Charlene or some name similar, was rude. She seemed so bothered and inconvenienced to help me. She was extremely unpleasant. If it wasn’t the only laundromat in Crown Point I would have chosen a different place do do my semi annual bed comforter washing.

If you can choose another laundry mat, DO! The lady is rude and has no customer service skills. We should have listened to the other reviews on here. The detergent reservoirs had mold in them! I was ready to use quarters but then was inconvenienced to pay $ 4 to get a card to put money on. The lady at the register gives no help on how to use the card. So our first few swipes apparently charged us each time even though it read error. After waiting for our clothes, the service lady’s demeanor improved. At the end, we were refunded the $ 4 because it was a deposit. Customer service and demeanor is important especially for business.

I would avoid this place if at all possible. Today was my first time visiting there. Several washers and dryers were out of service. The attendant was very rude twice when asked simple questions. Last but certainly not least, a lot of the reservoirs to put in soap, fabric softener and bleach had black mold inside. Definitely 2 thumbs down.

Our washer and dryer broke within days of each other, so I found myself needing to take a week’s worth of laundry to a laundromat. I hadn’t been to one in decades and didn’t have a clue how things worked. The attendant on duty was very helpful and patient with my questions. The place was clean, and all the machines I used worked just fine. Note that they are not accepting credit cards, so be sure to bring cash.

The biggest problem I have is that Gards never opens on time. You usually have to wait 15 to 20 minutes after the posted opening time before the attendant arrives(Saturdays & Sundays). I have never seen her come on time in the two years I have be using this laundromat. In any job I have had were I was responsible for opening the business, I was usually there at least 5 minutes before the business was to open. I don’t know how she keeps her job and continues to arrive late.

Yes the attendant is rude even when you are going there to do clothes. It’s also more expensive than other laundromats, but its the only one in Crown Point so what can you do? Also the posted hours are when they CLOSE not when they take last load so you must be there an hour and a half before the posted closing time. Don’t wait til Sunday to do your clothes closing tint is 5 pm so you have to be there by 3:30 pm.

I cannot say anything to her cleaning skills, but when I parked in front of her business in a crowded parking lot. She came out to my car to let me know I could not park there if I was not going to use her business. it is a a parking lot for the strip mall. How RUDE… I would never use to for how she talked to me and when I told I would never use she told me «fine». So, I thought I would tell everyone else
