First of all, they have coffee from«Café Grumpy»!!! OK. Then, there are the cookies. I’m talking the«melt in your mouth», «how the hell does someone make something so good?» kind. And i love all the people working here. Always smiling from ear to ear and happy to be there for you. Hands down the best café/bakery in Crown Heights.

Stopped in to this lil gem of a shop two days ago while traveling for work. Ordered cookies(yes plural cause you can’t just get one) and a Chai. The chai was apparently a Marker Coffee blend and it got sprinkled with some cinnamon on top — quite delicious and you NEED to try it. The first cookie was a chocolate chip. You cannot see it because it was devoured prior to any thoughts of picture taking, but let me assure you it was amazing. The pictured cookie was eaten later as I drove off and the lemony goodness was sweet and refreshingly tasty. I spent some time chatting with the owner while there and another employee. Both were very friendly and welcoming with some great suggestions on what to try. It was a comfortable atmosphere where people came and went or sat down to chat with their goodies. I will definitely be back next time I am in the area!!!

Nice little spot with some kick a$$ coffee. I got a latte and a cheddar chive biscuit — the latte was bold! I love a good latte and this was delicious. Biscuit was good too. Staff is all smiles and very happy. I like that cheerful atmosphere. The only problem is the size, I hope they find a bigger location because their really good — I came several times prior to this visit but did not go inside because there were no seats. Only 3 chairs available by the window. I like to sit and drink my coffee and enjoy it. I’ll come back — hope there’s a seat waiting for me.

Friendly staff, excellent coffee. Ordered a mocha. Not too sweet, just perfect. Went back and ordered another one.

I had a toffee cookie and it was addictive. Just the right amount of soft and chewiness.

Awesome coffee, super friendly staff – an altogether adorable place. Surprisingly, the baked goods are far and away the best part. Every cookie and scone is itself worth a good 15 minute walk; together, one might reasonably make the journey from a state over. Small caveat: lattes can be a little on the cool side, but that’s fixed by ordering one«extra hot.»

I’d tell you to go try their new toffee cookies, but that would mean less toffee cookies for me! Back up off of my cookies!

I frequent this lovely coffee shop a few times a week. It’s a cozy little spot, like a coffee shop oasis in a desert devoid of cool spots. The owner and the baristas are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Getting coffee there is like visiting old friends — you feel really welcome! They have great coffee and amazing pastry. My favorites are their cheddar scallion scone, apple cinnamon muffin, lemon cookie and toffee cookie. Yum yum yum. They are such a great additional to Crown Heights! I love them!

The coffee here is good. Everyone was incredibly friendly. Its very small, not a place I could work but a good stop when I’m walking in the area. The inly problem I had was with one of the sandwiches. It was croissant(nice and flaky) with brie, apple, and honey mustard. It was really bad. They bought the wrong apples for that type of combination. The green apples were grossly tart and super acidic. It clashed with the sweet honey mustard and the creamy brie. But it was not expensive and Im hoping eventually they fix it so I’m not taking off a star.

From the moment I walked through the door of this simple, unassuming, elegant little coffee shop I felt warmly welcomed. Jazzy French covers of American classics played over the speakers and the woman behind the counter was lovely. She even offered me a plate instead of take out bag when I decided to stay. I got a small coffee which was brewed to perfection and a cheddar scallion scone which literally melted in my mouth with savory butteriness. I never knew a scone could taste so good. This was my first experience here and I will definitely return! Especially want to try those chocolate chip cookies the other reviewers were raving about.

Some of the best coffee I’ve ever had — no joke. Nice to finally have such a great spot in Crown Heights.

There are a billion high-end coffee shops in Crown Heights but this one really stands out. The coffee is high in caffeine and low in acidity — aka perfect — and the baked goods are so delicious it’s kind of unfair. Plus I hear Caitlin, the owner, is a trained chocolatier and chocolate will be on the menu in the fall. Joy, the main barista, knows our orders and is always so friendly and generally great when we come in. Plus she knows coffee better than anyone I’ve ever met. It’s got a perfect neighborhood vibe — as evidenced by the fact that I know the names of everyone who works there!

The lattes are amazing. You should try them — especially the iced soy latte. But that’s not why I’m writing this review. I have been on an endless quest to find and/or make the perfect chocolate chip cookie. I haven’t gotten there yet but someone at Marker has. Good lord this is the most amazing cookie I’ve had in a long time. Tons of butter, large chunks of chocolate and sea salt on top make this the best dessert in the neighborhood. And I’m not even a sweets person! Don’t serve me cake for my birthday, just buy me a dozen of these.

This place is unreal. I can’t remember a time I ate better cookies, and I am nothing if not a cookie gourmand. The chocolate chip is divine, and the cheddar scone is so moist and succulent… ah, man. You know how lame most scones are. This is a terrific scone, and that’s that. But excellent cookies and incredible coffee don’t even begin to tell the story — it’s the warmth of the personalities behind the bar that really make this place special. It’s a natural, friendly, inviting community gathering spot, and that’s a beautiful thing.

The very, very, very best stuff ever. All home baked delicious scones, muffins, pastries, with great coffee, tea, etc. After having the cheddar scallion scone I decided it was so good that I took two of the cranberry lime scones and one of the chocolate peanut butter crispy’s home. They were outrageously good. Also, really nice people. Go to this place.

Just had one of the best cookies I had in year from them. With some food you can just tell that whoever made it did it out of their love for making food, not out of desire for profit. And this is one of them. Highly recommended.

Great place! The owners are super friendly and make really good drinks. I had a tonic espresso(made with Café Grumpy coffee) and a chocolate chip cookie. I was super skeptical but the tonic really brings out the espresso flavors. Definitely a spot to check out if you’re in Crown Heights.
