Excellent service. No hard sell. Very knowledgable. Came in from a flat tire on I-​91. Very grateful they were open!

Stopped in for service the other day to get my AC checked. This was my 3^rd time here but first time to review. All and all I cant complain, they were upfront with everything and delivered on a timely fashion. They did not try to upsell me on either visit which is always a good thing to me. I would return

I have used Firestone for many repairs and have never had a big issue but have had some smaller incidences. Most recently, I had the window repaired because it would not close. I left and heard a banging noise so drove back immediately. Tape was left of the roof of the truck. Not a big deal and they removed it. I did notice a small crack on the door trim that was not there prior. But again, it was a small cosmetic concern so I did not contact them. I had to replace a switch in the door and could not pry the trim piece from the door. They had broken the tab while repairing my car and glued the trim piece back on with out ever telling me! My door rattles terribly and when I shut my door it sounds like the glass is loose. I can buy a New trim piece and easily put it on but I feel like they should have been honest. It will cost me over $ 100 for their mistake.

I’ve been a Firestone customer for many years and my recent experience at this Cromwell location was great. The service was very friendly and quick.
I was having an issue with multiple engine lights being stuck on, including the check engine and traction control lights. Multiple auto stores said I needed a lot of work done (7 error codes), but I was skeptical. I came to Firestone to have both of the O2 sensors replaced. The Toyota Camry has 120,000 miles and those sensors have a history of malfunctioning and 4 of the error codes were related to the O2 sensors. The other codes were vague.
I came here at 8 in the morning and within 90 minutes, both sensors were replaced and they did a full error code check and reset of the check engine light. They said the O2 sensor error was tripping off other codes and error lights. I was told I was good to go and should drive the car 50 miles just to make sure the light didn’t go back on.
I drove around for the day and the dashboard has no lights on. Finally. After being quoted at over $ 1,000 by multiple places, Firestone fixed the issue fast with no nonsense. I just had my emissions test the same day and passed!
I highly recommend this location.

I’ve rarely had a problem here. Always get the job done that day, which makes it a bit pricey but it beats taking it to a mechanic who may or may not get to it that day, then have him keep it for a few nights and leave you without a ride. People who work there are always really nice and courteous, have also been really chill about topping off coolant or oil free of charge. The mechanics have a good eye when going through the car; found errors that other dealerships had made on my car (such as unplugging my AC after supposedly fixing it). They will give you what needs to be done to the car in the long term which initially comes off pricey; one of the fellows tried convincing me that I’d need to lay down almost 1000 to fix my exhaust system. When I took it to another mechanic he patched up what needed to be done in the short term, much cheaper. Anyway, overall, I’m satisfied with them :)

These guys have always been honest with me and have gone out of their way to accomodate. I’ve lived in Cromwell for years and I’ve been going to Firestone for brakes, tires, and mutiple auto fixes. The staff always seems friendly and straight forward.
On one occasion I bent a rim on one of my tires and they fixed it for me free of charge. I usually end up dropping my car off if I have an issue and returning when they call me back, so I can’t speak to their efficiency. But they always provide quality work at a reasonable price.

Please do not go here!!! If I could give this place zero stars I would. These people are total shysters. I went there for an emissions test, and a man named «Ryan» told me if I opened up a credit card with them, I’d get the emissions test for free, along with three free oil changes. He gave me three coupons for the oil changes, and at that time I asked him again if the emission test was free, because I had serious doubts about them being able to offer a state service for free. He confirmed that it was free. Well lo and behold, my new credit card arrives along with a bill saying that I owe 20 dollars for the emissions test. I immediately called Firestone and relayed my problem to John, who said that Ryan wouldn’t be in for 2 days and at that point he would question him about it and call me back. Of course, these bastards never called me back. I called Firestone to followup, and Ryan answered the phone. Of course, I didn’t want to speak to him, I wanted to speak to a manager. He said «hold on» — and then came back on the phone and said he was a manager. Yeah right. I asked to speak to a real manager and he said «we all are managers». He went on to bold faced lie that he never told me the test would be free. I truly believe there is a place in hell for people like him. Anyway, lesson learned — if it’s too good to be true, it probably isn’t. Stay away from this place!

Got my emissions performed here. It was later in the evening, just before they stop doing emissions testing, and they happily performed my testing. I plan on going back to check out tires since they were professional, responsive, and polite.

Worst service I’ve ever experienced at a car service center. I went to do a basic emissions test on my car, and they estimated it would take no more than an hour. 2.5 hours later I’m still waiting, meanwhile several people who arrived after me left long before me. I ended up missing a very important appointment as a result. If time is important to you, then look elsewhere.

We again began frequenting this location after finding a coupon on our Stop & Shop receipt for an oil change. Service has been pretty good and the price is better than most local garages.

I have been to Firestone about a zillion times. The best thing I can say about a mechanic… I don’t think that they completely screw you over.
Every time I come to this place, whether for an oil change or a flat tire, they end up finding something that needs to be fixed. Bad brake pads, worn timing belt, faulty flux capacitor… something. The good thing is that, when you ask for detail, they can give you the lo-​down on whether it’s an emergency or whether it’s a «nice to have.»
One thing that really annoys me about the place, though, is when they charge me 20 bucks for a «vehicle inspection» when I just dropped 300 bucks for the latest issue. Don’t pay it. Just say no!
You can go here, be cautious and ask questions. Ask for a discount. Say no to the 20 dollar vehicle inspection. You’ll drop some dough but they’ll fix your car. You’ll be fine.

my god these people are slow, however, they do a through job. 90 minutes for an oil change, with a scheduled appointment. That might just be too much for me to return.

These guys are worse than Somali pirates. You can go here only for oil and lube changes. Any other repairs you might have to think twice.
