We had great service from Eric on our refrigerator.
I was able to schedule an appointment for repair about a week out. The day prior to the appointment, they let us know via email and phone what the time window would be and where we were in the order. They also provide a web link that allows you to check the technicians progress on his appointments and get a better feel for whether he’ll show up sooner or later in your window.
Eric was friendly and very knowledgeable of our refrigerator and what needed to be fixed. He did a great job and was quickly in and out. Thanks, Eric!

Called first to confirm appointment. Daniel H came out. Incredibly nice and extremely knowledgeable about my appliances. Very pleased with the service I received!

Swift, friendly and professional. Chris showed up on time, diagnosed and repaired the problem with my dishwasher within a few minutes.

Via seems like a fine company.
My initial contact with them did not go well. I was sent a confirmation email, then confirmed the confirmation by email as instructed. When the guy didn’t show up, I called them and was basically told that they had cancelled my appointment (without telling me) because they didn’t have my phone number (which they did indeed have as evidenced by the email exchange the previous day). My phone call the next day to reschedule resulted in similar frustration/​incompetence, the details are unimportant.
Finally, however, the guy did show up. Their software worked nicely, I was sent a link showing me the technician’s progress throughout the day. I then received an automated phone call when he was about 30 minutes away. The tech, though unable to fix the problem (the refrigerator was ancient and beyond repair) he was pleasant, seemed competent, and charged much less than I had expected.
Overall, a good experience. My guess is all they need to do is fire the very unpleasant person who answers the phone/​works in the office and their company will be in good shape!

Luke just came over and diagnosed my KitchenAID fridge. He was polite, professional, and very fast! I have had several over companies over here, (including Sears) and Via Services is the first company to have an online confirmation system as well as friendly techs. Sears was SO incredibly rude and rushed that this visit by Luke from Via Service was so nice!

Turns out the technician somehow moved the unit off of its base and now the door to the area doesn’t close. I called the company to see if someone could come out and fix the problem and they said that the technician didn’t do anything to cause the issue so they would not come out and correct the problem. The door closed before Zach came out. Now it doesn’t close… Probably a simple fix that VIA is unwilling to fix. I still don’t know how I’m going to rectify the situation. Ugh!

I give this repair service 5 STARS! 1^st — After scheduling appt. received an confirmation email the day before service visit. 2^nd — Was able to track technician the day of service via there online tracker, which enabled me to get a better window of when they would arrive. 3^rd — Technician (Shane) very professional. 4^th — He fixed the issue and provided additional tips. 5^th — I recommend and would VIA again!

I would give zero stars if that was an option. Terrible company. Takes 45 min to get through by phone. No website. If you try to click on supposed website, links are dysfunctional. Tech (Zach) came to house 5 days after my initial call. Told me my Amana fridge had a broken fan motor. Returned with replacement motor another 5 days later. Then told me control board was also broken, had to order that replacement part and it would be at least another 4 days till VIA got that replacement and he could not tell me when a tech would come back with that part. Said he could not tell me the name of either of the two parts he said were defective. These folks are incompetent AND rip
off artists, in my experience. Impossible to get through by phone and absolutely no accountability. I had to pay close to $ 200 for initial useless service visit and for replacement fan motor. Today Zach tried to get me to pay an additional $ 175.43 for replacement control board with no idea of when that would actually be installed and no guarantee that he could get fridge fixed.

Lloyd was the second technician from the company to look at the defective refrigerator door. He carefully analyzed the situation, and correctly pinpointed the problem. When the part arrived, Lloyd installed the replacement and we were thrilled.

2 different companies have tried to fix my brand new cooktop for 3 times each. Neither of them were awful (The clover service and Video tech center. Especially the Video tech was nightmare.) They couldn’t fix anything. When the clover service installed my cooktop, they put wrong parts at 5 different places. Then Video Tech people didn’t see any of problems and told me that they did all they could do which they did nothing. Video Tech never called me back every time I needed to call them even they said to call me. However VIA technician Julian did amazing job to fix everything which were caused by the 2 awful companies. Thank you VIA and Mr. Julian. In the future whenever I’ll have any troubles with my appliances, I’ll call you guys!

I have had Via service our cooktop and dishwasher. I’ve had Ken each time and he is so courteous and professional. I like the way that Via handles scheduling and they are always on time. If you call them for service — definitely request Ken!

We have a 12-​year old Jenn Air cooktop– the griddle button broke. We had the old button that we thought on this visit was just going to have to be reconnected. However, the technicians discovered that even with the button reconnected, the griddle wasn’t getting hot enough. Luke and Marc, the technicians, took the unit apart and worked on it until they got our griddle up and running
. They were very friendly, answering all of my questions and helping me obtain a part number to order a new griddle. Thank you for your friendly and efficient service!

My spouse and I had a new townhome built in Potomac Yard Oct 2014. After 2 months my Whirlpool ice maker stopped working, my Whirlpool oven started shutting off when I turned it on, and the Whirlpool Washer (that I purchased) started leaking!!! It was insane. But after dealing with 2 appliance companies that were terrible, we finally got Mike and Ashley from VIA Appliance to come out! They have been wonderful and have repaired all of my appliances. They were very professional in calling to set the appointments, a reminder when they were on the way, and just overall great customer service. So if you want top rate customer service when you call VIA Appliance, just ask for Mike and Ashley!!!

Horrible company!!! Poor customer service, lack of organization, dumb technicians. Stay away if you can. Got stuck with them through a company covered warranty repair and the experience has just been terrible. Calls have been avoided, deliberately hung up on, and time just wasted. Avoid this company at all costs!

I whole-​heartedly agree with all of the negative reviews. We only went with Via because they are the registered contractor for Whirlpool. I wish I had checked Unilocal first before going through them. While the technician did arrive as scheduled and he was courteous enough, he informed me that he could not give me an estimated date for when they will be able to come back and repair our oven because the part will need to be ordered.
Each time I have called the company to check on the status of my order, the young sounding girl tells me that they don’t know when the part will be in, and they cannot give me an estimated arrival date. It has now been three weeks. Today, when I asked her about the issue, she told me to speak to Whirlpool directly. When I called Whirlpool, they told me that they have not received any order from VIA. Whirlpool offered to call VIA on my behalf, and proceeded to tell me that the part is back ordered until March 30^th! VIA came out on January 12, deposited my check on January 15^th, and I am supposed to wait until March 30^th at which time they will call me to schedule the service call. At this rate, I will have no working oven in my house for 4 – 5 months. I am on the phone with VIA, and now the girl is telling me that, yes, she did inform the Whirlpool representative that the part will not be arriving until March 30^th at the earliest. I have never been given such a run around! I am now on hold finding out if I can get my money back so that I can start this process over with a more reputable company. Buyer Beware!!!

Terrible, Terrible Terrible experience with Via.
We had a Samsung Dryer that went out. We called Samsung and they sent us to Via. They came out, told us we needed parts that they did not have and the repair would be an additional $ 400. They told us they would call us when the parts arrived. After two weeks of not hearing from them, we called and they told us that the parts were on back order. After three weeks without a dryer, we called again and they said someone tried to call us. We had no messages from them. After a month with no dryer, I said forget it, and I went out and bought a new dryer. They were very unprofessional and never called to give us any status.

Extremely professional technicians. Excellent use of technology. Covered their shoes before entering the home! Eric is dynamite — lots of good information — knows his stuff.

They were given a parts concession from Frigidaire to repair my dishwasher and then went out to do the repair and charged my tenant $ 250 for the repair.
Frigidaire contacted them to resolve the issue and they are REFUSING to submit the claim to Frigidaire.
Will take them to small claims court!

I’ve never been given the run around so much by any company. First off, they give you an 8 hour window up until the night before when they will narrow down the time frame. They claim they’re no different than Comcast or anyone else in this way, but that’s totally not true. I don’t know how people are supposed to plan on going to work the day of the repair when they don’t know what the four hour window will be until the day before.
2^nd. Despite all of this scheduling nonsense. TWO TIMES they did not show up. No phone call, no nothing, yet they claimed to have called and left a message. Lying deducts an extra –5 stars. And ohbytheway, it happened to be two Saturdays in a row when no one is in the office to pick up the phone. Two saturdays I spent sitting around for 8 hours for nothing. Yay weekend.
3^rd. When they finally did show, they couldn’t fix the problem. It took three visits to bring the right part.
4^th. And ohbytheway the repair that took TWO AND A HALF MONTHS of coordinating lasted one wash cycle.
I was out of town for awhile. It was the holidays. My bad. I didn’t use the machine for awhile. And when I did and found it wasn’t working properly, I had to sit down and think about when I had another 2 and half months of my life free again to coordinate this. They do not have voicemail. You cannot schedule over the internet repeat visits. There is usually a 20 minute hold time to talk to them. They are closed during lunch and on Saturdays. Scheduling is NOT EASY and takes time. Unfortunately for me, they give a 30 day warranty on repairs and 90 days on parts and I am now several days beyond that time period and they will not honor anything beyond that time frame. Brilliant. For all of the time I spent waiting around and trying to get this thing fixed I could have thrown it out and bought a new one.
Customer service is unsympathetic and unyielding. I won’t say she is rude but likely has to go through this every single day and just does not care and is made of stone. I’m sure when she needs to «talk to management» she puts you on hold and then just sits there and comes back and says «no». They have a policy and they stick to it, period, so they can hide behind that. No matter how many times they’ve screwed you over and made you wait, they will not make any exceptions whatsoever to make your life easier the next time an appointment needs to be made even though they didn’t show the first go around and are the sole reason you need to make another appointment.
I told them I’d be calling Maytag and I did report this service to them. She said fine, they are Maytag’s #1 repair service in the DC area. After talking to Maytag, that may not be the case forever once they implement a new feedback program.
I called Maytag and they are picking up the repair. Sadly they are sending Via out here again because no one else is available.
If your’e in the DC metro area and have a Whirlpool/​Maytag product I think there are only two options. I used A&E the first time I had an issue with my washer and they were better.

well first they charge you$ 120.00 just to come to your door step. Then misdignose ordered a circut board for $ 337.42. O by the way i have to wait 3 weeks then show up and find out it needs a compressor .SAVE time and $$$ find another Company
AE or someone else. called to get a Refund got a Rude young lady who needs some charm school .as she sounded like a broken recording telling me Im not getting my $ 120.00
back eventhought they misdianosed the problem.
Got rid of them.
