I haven’t had acrylics in many years, but recently decided I really wanted stilettos, so I started looking around online for ideas and salon reviews. I was impressed by some of Mia’s work I found here and worksheets and made an appointment. I was not disappointed in the least and will be back soon! She’s very accommodating and talented and took the time to look at pictures I had of different looks and came up with a customized design that exceeded anything I could have imagined. I really appreciate her attention to detail and creativity. I also was very pleased that I left without any burning sensations in my nails which I’ve experienced with other salons in the past. This place is fantastic and Mia’s artistry is top notch!

I’ve always been a nail salon jumper but I always end up here! I have never been upset and I love my nails every time I leave!

Umm where do I start so I walk in and it’s like nobody really wants to do my nails in the first place. So the pedicure was perfect but the full set was a no no I’m not impressed I had a older lady I feel that the amount of time she took my nails should of looked better than they did they are a little thick for my taste. I won’t be going back. They were very clean and nice beside the stall in the beginning I guess from them deciding who was gonna help me. Oh and tips are cash only!

This place isn’t bell’s and whistles, but I did receive good service. My tech was very meticulous and didn’t rush me when I was selecting my color. I wasn’t too crazy on the overall cleanliness of the place, and was even more squeamish when I saw the tools weren’t prewrapped. All in all, for what I needed it was good, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to stop by.

I’m always jumping from nail salon to nail salon because I just can’t seem to find someone to be unique in doing my nails not just simple color and walk out the door. They gave several suggestion on what to get and how to get the look we wanted. Went with my little sister and we can’t wait to go back. Everyone was friendly. They Offered something to drink which was the first time I’ve had that in a nail salon. We didn’t feel like they were talking about us. I’m just so happy my nails found a new home !!!

Stopped by to get a gel mani. Nobody was available at noon, all 4 techs were busy, understandable on a Friday.
They asked me to have a seat so they can soak off my nails but I didn’t want to get stuck with nails peeling off and focused to wait until whenever.
I asked and they said 5 mins, I said are you sure because I have to be out of here by 1. It’s 12:15 and she said ok we’ll start you around 12:30.
Glad I didn’t soak my half decent nails and waste 1.5 hrs !
Aside from that the place was clean but dark and shady customer service

What a great experience! I left my current nail technician after going to her for over 5 years… I gave Mia a try and I’m glad I did! She was amazing and I can’t wait to get my nails done again!

Love this place! Came in because of a tropical design I saw on Unilocal.I had a tropical theme baby shower and had to have that design. I went with no expectations other than getting the cute design. What I got was great and attentive service. Greeted and offered a beverage. The really wanted to know what I was looking for, not just what nail color. My friend met me there to pick something up and decided to stay for the price and the service. I felt like the only person there (I wasn’t). I returned a few weeks later to have the gel polish changed. Even though I did not have a special event this time, they still treated me like a ViP.

I have been going to Avalon Nails for several years and would not go anywhere else. Professional care for nails and pedicures. Sterilized nail tools are used for each customer. It is pleasantly decorated as well as the environment being extremely clean and maintained. Recently Avalon Too was opened — 2^nd shop couple doors down. It was equally nice!

I had been looking for a great nail salon and found Top Nails here on Unilocal.Based on the reviews, I decided to give it a try. I was able to walk in without an appointment and now have a gorgeous set of gel nails. I felt welcomed by Mia like I was family. The salon is intimate but I did not feel that I was overcrowded; one review mentioned cluttered which there is some, however it adds to the feeling of welcoming. Mia was very friendly, worked quickly, and managed waxing clients efficiently as well. I do recommend having an appointment.

Went in today with my husband and mother-​in-​law. We all had manis & pedis. Being from out of town (CT), we chose this nail salon based on reviews from Unilocal and FB and the reviews were spot on. Excellent service! My mother-​in-​law says she will be back (and if we ever get our nails done when visiting MD, we will too). Mia did a great job on my nails and the women who worked on my husband and MIL also did great — both were pleased.

Love this place! I live 30 min away and come here because they specialize in healthy nails. They won’t do anything to your nails that they won’t do to their own. I’ve gone to many nail salons in DC, and MD and this is the only one where I left and my nails were healthy after removing my gel polish. Typically I would have breaking for at least 2 months sometimes really low into my nail bed. but not here! Mia, her sister and mom are equally talented. i don’t have to worry about who is available when I walk in because they all do a stand up job!

I went to Top Nails for the first time on Tuesday. Kevin was my nail tech… he was very pleasant AND quiet which I liked. He was also gentle when doing my gel manicure. I appreciated that as well since I’ve had some nail techs at other salons who were not good to my hands at all. The salon is clean and nicely decorated. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and waited less than 5 minutes in spite of the fact that I didn’t have an appointment. Overall, a very good experience! I will be going back.

They did an excellent job on my manicure and pedicure. It’s clean and the technicians are friendly. I plan to return again.

The Cheers! of nail shops. Well… sans liquor (but what drinks they do offer are free) and sans beer nuts (but the clientele can be nuts) and, well, no Norm (but there is a little girl for entertainment) So… Bring a snack, take part in the complimentary beverages, grab a massage chair and get your summer pedicure (they have 4 to choose from) routine started. I come here because Mia And her dad (he’s cute as a button) really want their clients to feel comfortable and Kevin (nail tech) is at pedicures and acrylics. They also have threading services. Ya heard? GETCHO FACE SNATCHED! Well… at least, your facial hair (if’n that’s more than just eyebrows… run…don’t walk). Only criticism… they need more color acrylic powder (no neutral options) choices and a dark pink for the pink and white nails (my usual). On Saturday you may need to bring earphones… as there is an adorably communicative little girl in the shop. She’s cute but the running and chatting can kill your zen vibe if you don’t know how to tune that out. Quaint, out of the way and everybody (or at least Mia) knows your name.
