Beaver Creek Childcare

I just interviewed there but they were extremely unfriendly. My son is 5 and still has occasional potty accidents. Well at this place, all their kids are fully potty trained at age 3 and never have accidents afterwards.

Was not impressed with the facility, went on a brief tour. Upon walking through out I noticed there was no security.?! Then going into the infant room the radio was blasting music I assume the employees enjoy listening too as it was not age appropriate for the little ones.
When I asked why is there no security locked doors, special codes for parents etc. looks like people can easily get in and out. they responded with nothing has happened yet. ???

We love it at Beaver Creek! My 2.5 year old has been going there for almost two years now and my second child is about to start in the Fall. They are extremely organized, and the teacher in me loves that! My son has learned songs, numbers, and the alphabet. We work with him at home by there is no way he’s learning without lots of stuff going on in school. He loves his teachers and they are stern but loving towards him. I love how everyone knows who everyone is — even the kids know all of the other children and parents. They have so many great activities for the kids too. I wouldn’t want to send my kid anywhere else and I am certain he wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. As for the previous post about 24 hrs notice, that has to be after multiple attempts at asking for the needed paperwork because my husband and I are pretty bad with paperwork and being organized, but they’ve never pulled that on us. Sounds very unlike the experience we’ve had. In fact the office staff has been amazing! They’ve moved things around to work with the start date we needed for our second child and are always very personal. Couldn’t be happier.

This school was a disappointment. I was completely sold by the reviews on other sites, my tour of the facility, and the curriculum materials. We moved my son from another preschool so that my infant and toddler could be at the same location without resorting to a daycare that poses as a preschool. Unfortunately, we found the employees to be cold and uncaring (perhaps even resentful of the parents who leave their children there daily). There was no evidence at all that the classroom teachers attempted to follow any type of curriculum and if we ever arrived early, we would find the classroom chaotic with insuffiicent supervision of the kids. There were even two occasions when my husband entered the room, picked up our son and left without any adult ever acknowledging him. With the infant room, it became very clear that the caregivers played favorites and certain babies received a lot of attention while others were ignored. The office staff, who was incredibly friendly before registration (even offering potty training tips), became sullen and unfriendly once we started. And if anything was out of sorts with the paperwork (like you forget to drop off an updated shot record after a doctor’s visit) you will get a note saying you have 24 hours to update their records or your child cannot return to school. Seriously? They need a lesson in customer service. I certainly would not want my child to have any of them as a role model for how to behave and treat others.
