First of all, this review is totally unsolicited. Leonard is an excellent mechanic. He is well regarded by other mechanics in addition to his many customers. Integrity, experience, and skilled knowledge make him what you want as a mechanic for your car. His rates are very reasonable. Leonard is a valued resource for my cars.

We’ve moved from Crockett and will continue to take our vehicles to Leonard. He is amazingly honest, efficient, affordable, patient with those of us who don’t know a whole lot about cars and detailed with those of us who do. We’ve been to him several times with an older car and he has never failed to give us ALL of our options when we have a problem. He will also not hesitate to let you know when work that could be done is unnecessary or perhaps not worth the bucks on an older car with a limited life span. He’ll help you to prioritize your needs based on safety and he’ll let you know if you can hold off on work, or if it will cost you more in the long run. I would recommend Leonard’s to ANYONE — it is worth the drive to Crockett. Make sure to call him in advance as his personal, honest service is getting a rep and he is booking up early.
What it boils down to really, is that it feels really great to leave an automotive shop without feeling like you probably got ripped off.
