You need to know what to expect when you come here I have been coming here for 8 years and pretty much get what I expect. Slow service, locals who you dont want to make eye contact with and a different bartendress every time I go in there. But they are always super friendly, the pizza is best I have had in Colorado, though it takes 30 mins to fill the order. Stick to the Italian as once I had the grilled cheese and it was institutional. This is not a great family restaurant though I have seen families in here and it has games also. Basically one basically great place for booze, Jukebox tunes, Sport game and sitting at the bar

We were traveling on a road trip and decided to stop here based on menu selection. Here are some upsides and downsides to Ralf’s. Upsides: WIFI(there’s not much cell service in the area) Lots of activities(billiards, darts, videogames, bar stuff, etc. Good variety of food choices for all people. Downsides: –Staff took a while to seat and greet us. Only one woman working the entire bar. AKA understaffed and slow service times. –Food was edible but not great for the price. –Music was blazing loud the night we went around 9PM on a Wednesday(wtf?)

I’ve enjoyed Ralp’s Break Room for many years. On my most recent visit today, there was a new wait staff that was rude to me. Apparently they also have a different chef. It was like going to a new restaurant. I’ll have to give them one star. The food tasted just awful and my favorite dish tasted nothing like before. I won’t be returning. So sad… I miss the old Ralp’s. What happened???

No… Just no… Our first time visiting Cripple Creek and this looked like a good place to grab dinner. The outside graphics advertise it’s a «local’s» hangout, which we found to mean that unless you are a local, you get paid no attention– or unless you’re AT the bar. We had to track down our server several times to order, ask for check, etc. And we never were offered refills or anything. Food was barely average. Oh! And a fist fight broke out while we were there(6:30p on a Monday). Also, inside was filthy… Won’t be returning.

Great food, awful service. We visited Ralf’s on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm. We visited Cripple Creek to see a play at The Butte Theater. We were starving. Upon entering the restaurant/bar, I smelled the stale beer smell that accompanies a bar that needs a good cleaning. There was no hostess stand, and none of the employees seemed to noticed that we were there. As I looked around the front of the place, it quickly became apparent that the large room at the front is the restaurant area, and that the bar was in the back. Apparently, all the employees were in the bar area because none of them were out front or even paying attention to the front door. Realizing that no one knew we were there, I wandered in to the bar area, and finally a lady saw me. I gestured toward the restaurant area so she would know we were there, and she gave me a quick acknowledging nod & smile. We hovered in the restaurant area for another minute, and then decided that we would need to push two tables together for our party of seven. Since no employees were there to help us or find out how many we had, we did it ourselves. No big deal, but it was a foreshadow of things to come service-wise. About the time we sat down, the lady came in with menus. She took our drink order, and I headed to the bathroom. The bathrooms were awful — one empty stall was missing a toilet, and all they had was a dish rag shoved into the hole to plug it. The ceiling had a gaping hole in one corner which revealed old rusted plumbing and other nastiness. There was sign of previous water damage on one wall. I went back out to the table, and the drinks showed up soon after. A few minutes later, she came back and took our order. The menu indicated that calzones and pizzas would take 30-minutes, and stating that we were starving, I asked the waitress to bring us an appetizer(nachos) right away. About 20-minutes later, our drinks were empty, our appetizer had not arrived, and we had not seen the waitress since she took our order. Five minutes later, all the food came out, including the appetizer. She brought the food out in three trips, and we had to tell her who had ordered what item. At one point, she held out a plate and said something like, «This one has meat.» Since everyone ordered something with«meat» there was a short pause, and then we figured out to whom it belonged. We said grace and then started eating. We soon realized that we didn’t have any silverware — I didn’t even have a napkin. So, I went into the bar, tracked down the waitress, and she handed me some silverware. She never came to our table again! The last time I saw her was when I had to go to the bar to get my bill and pay it. I got the feeling that she really had no idea how bad she was. I also got have feeling that this is mostly a bar, and that they like working in the bar, and that the restaurant is a secondary concern, at best. I’ve eaten at two restaurants in Cripple Creek now, and both had this type of absentee server both times. Maybe that’s how they do it in Cripple Creek? On the positive side, the food was excellent! We ordered a hamburger, two chicken sandwiches, nachos, two calzones, and a pizza. Everything tasted great and the portions were healthy. I really enjoyed the calzone. It is a shame that the service wasn’t even close to the quality of the food. I doubt I will go back — but that calzone was pretty good, so I might have to…

Probably one of the best pizzas in southern Colorado. Great little place!!! I never come to Cripple Creek without visiting Ralf’s!

This bar and restaurant has good pizza with a homemade crust and plentiful toppings. They also offer salads, wings, chicken tenders and other standard bar type nibbles. The beer list is short but has some good old standbys on it. The server scared me at first seeming like she was annoyed with us, but I dont think she really was. She turned out to be very friendly. They have video games, foosball and shuffleboard for your amusement. I recommend stopping in here as they are one of the few restaurants in town that is not affiliated with a casino. In other words, this is not a tourist trap.

Ate here while on vacation a few years ago. The food was good and my other family reported that the chili was great.
