I have never eaten at the restaurant, but only have done delivery. The burger was overcooked (well done when requested medium), cold, and the bun was soggy. The fries were ok, but nothing out of the ordinary. Granted, burger delivery is difficult, so I may give it another try in the restaurant.

The food is solid and the create your own burgers/​salads with an abundance of options is great. The fries and chili are also top notch. Staff is very friendly.

Best burger in Town! My wife and I keep coming back. The fries and especially the onion rings are delicious. If you had a «not so good» experience here you should give it another try. I am just glad it is close to us!

It was not the best. The burger was cooked exactly how I like it… The meat was not seasoned before it was cooked.

Just an ok burger and fry joint. Last seat in the place was by the door and the curtains by this table were coming off the rod and hanging over my head.

Delicious burger! Had the Mushroom Bacon Burger and the Herbed Garlic fries! Both were awesome! Then they had Gooey Butter Cake and it was the most delicious I’ve ever had.

Has my search for the best burger in town come to an end? I think so. Five years in St. Louis and I am not sure why I never tried this place earlier. The chicken tender burger with bacon and jam was the best a burger can get. It was tender and juicy and the multi grain bun was just perfect. I can’t wait to try other creations at this place.

I was hoping for much better all around. First impression walking in was a bit odd becuase everyone working at this place seemed to be very young. We stood at the door until we asked the employees if we could be seated or needed to order at the line. I ordered a medium well mushroom bacon burger and Chilli cheese fries. The burger was dry and the Chilli cheese fries were given to me with the Chilli and cheese on the side. It was very apparent that the food had been sitting under a heat lap for an extended amount of time. Will not be returning. Go to Satchmo’s for a GREAT burger down the street.

Great burgers and fries! Had the Slinger and the garlic fries on the side. Def one of the best burgers on Olive by our house! Highly recommend going to check out the burgers!

I stopped by here for lunch one day. The burger was VERY good! I ordered the Hawaiian burger and onion rings. Great place! Quality food! Ca’t go wrong stopping here for a burger!

I loved the burgers here they have no shortage of options from an egg on your burger to the types of cheese the burger size the type of bun and the fries are very good they serve alcohol and have a good selection of beers they also have milkshakes I haven’t tried those yet to put it simply this place is like a classic 50s diner with more options and if you don’t like burgers you should still try it.

Had a wrap, it was delicious! Service was spot on. Very clean and efficient fast casual experience. They’ve got beer, treats, and can cater to just about anyone. Definitely support this local business. Excellent place for a quick lunch or a fun get together.

Some of my favorite restaurants are hidden away in strip malls, sandwiched between the likes of a local podiatrist and a radio shack. This little burger gem is the same… We wouldn’t have found it without Unilocal,but I’m glad we did! The interior was clean, modern and functional, with a counter of paper order forms and pencils when you walk in so you can build your own burger, wrap or salad. My brother and I ordered straight from the menu– a Southwestern Turkey burger, which was a tad undercooked but the flavor was amazing, and a Steakhouse burger, which featured super crisp onion straws and my brother could not stop raving about its juiciness! My sister in law built her own turkey burger, and the array of choices was staggering– literally something for everyone! She had hers on the pretzel bun– she says we shouldn’t miss out on that again! My toddler enjoyed crispy chicken tenders (gorgeous white meat) and a healthy side choice of apples. We ordered one side of fries to share, and it was more than plenty, with just the right amount of herbs and not much grease!
Overall, an enjoyable burger experience that was affordable ($ 30 for all that food!) and creative. Venture forth into the strip mall and partake!

We decided to check out Dave & Tony’s after seeing the Unilocal reviews and seeing that they were ranked the best burger in St. Louis. I was impressed. Their Build Your Own Burger menu is the best and most unique I’ve ever seen, with pretty much any topping you could imagine. The fries were great– similar to Five Guys, but better. The burger was great too, I just wished I had selected Medium instead of Medium Well. As far as best burger in STL, I’m not sure I’d go that far, but it’s up there. The interior is a nice, clean mix of classic diner and modern restaurant. It’s fast casual, so you turn in your order at the counter, and the food came out really quick. We’ll be back.

Great burgers. I created my own, as did my wife. We both got extra larges and she was very pleased. I loved my burger and the flavor was great if just seemed to be lacking salt which I added. The atmosphere was comfortable and the restaurant was spacious. They also offer a great 15% military discount which saved us $ 3. I’d definitely recommend this place. Also, try the pretzel bun. It was lovely.

Decent but not great. Burger was big, but otherwise unremarkable. Fries were greasy.
Service was quick, though, so that’s a plus. I’d eat here again, but I wouldn’t expect much out of the experience.

First time here, I was really wanting a good buffalo chicken and blue cheese, saw it had good reviews so we tried it out. I got the chicken strip sandwich, with blue Gorgonzola and the buffalo sauce on the «Dave’s Bun.» My partner got the Slinger burger, and we got a half and half with onion rings and garlic herb fries. The bun on my sandwich really took away the bold flavors of the buffalo and blue cheese. Also, the chicken wasn’t tossed in sauce, which was a little disappointing. The slinger had a thin, boring chili, which may have been from a can. The pretzel bun also overwhelmed the flavor of the burger, though when the bun wasn’t interfering the flavor combination was excellent. Kind of a bummer for a «premium» burger joint, but the sides are a great value, each one could easily feed 2 – 3 adults. Don’t let premium in the title fool you, the prices were very fair.

Very good! This lady ahead of me complained about her buns… they were ‘too thick’ or something. Really silly. The staff handled it so well though. I got the veggie burger with avocado and carrots and it was really good! Not greasy, filled me up, wishing there were more veggie options but I can say that about nearly every restaurant. If I want a burger, I’ll go here.

Incredibly friendly employees and quick service, but our burgers were just meh. I loved the choices of toppings and the prices were very reasonable, but the meat itself lacked flavor. Tons of other great burger joints in the city, I wouldn’t come back here.

Delicious burgers! There are a lot of options for specialty burgers or you can build your own. The patties are huge and the price is reasonable. The only reason I won’t give 5 stars is because I feel like their sides are lacking. Their french fries and onion rings are nothing special. Other than that, if you’re looking for a great burger to hit the spot, I would definitely recommend giving this place a try!

Very delicious moist very well made burgers. I had the turkey burger with garlic aioli sauce on a whole wheat bun. This place is definitely a gem in creve coeur.

I was in the area and this place jumped out at me. Nice clean updated place with classic rock music in the background. The atmosphere fit the mood. The burger was your typical high end burger. Quality meat cooked the way you want it to. Mine was medium and they cooked it just as asked. Didnt have the fries. I hear they are great I will be back to try them in the future. The chili was very meaty. Great tasting. Overall a great burger joint.

Great burger great price! Resturant was clean and help was polite. I had the premium steak burger with parmesan fries. Both very good. Setting had a little to be desired. Resturant sits in a strip mall but at those prices whose is complaining?

When you want a burger, you WANT a burger. Nothing else will satisfy. That craving was exactly what lead me to this place. More specifically, that was what lead me to do a Unilocal search, read the review Tracey W (TW) wrote and decide that this had to be the place for a burger.
Here’s the low-​down:

Loads of choices for what goes on the burger.
Cooked to order and specified temperature.
Mine was their standard size beef patty. It was probably a little over the advertised ¹⁄₃ pound. The meat itself was the star of the show… as well it should be. Some places that follow the same format miss the mark on the main ingredient. Fortunately, this is not one of those places. I love the taste of meat cooked over fire!
I added the following to mine: sharp cheddar cheese spread, sauteed onions, onion rings, dill pickles and garlic aioli. It was perfection on a bun and exactly what I needed to satisfy my craving for a burger.

Excellent place for burgers! Get a pretzel bun and be prepared to make several choices because the customizable combinations are nearly endless. Go hungry because they’ll fill you up!

I found this place like I have most places recently, using Unilocal.Yet again another satisfied find. Since this was my first time here and I failed to do my homework (study the menu online before arriving) I went the conservative side with my order. I ordered the Extra Large Premium steak burger w/​red onions, sharp cheddar spread, chipolte ranch and red onions on a regular bun. The burger was cooked perfectly medium rare and the bun was soaking up the juice of my burger. This is always a good sign in my opinion. Along with my burger I ordered a regular order of fries w/​cheese. After reading the reviews I’m glad I did because they were hot and delicious, obviously cooked to order. Service was super fast. Maybe 7 – 10 minutes if that long after we ordered.
The menu has several varieties of topping to choose from, I will definitely explore some on my next visit here along with trying the herbed garlic fries.
