Horrible service. You can never get a hold of anyone.

If you care about your pets and don’t want to take out a loan for the care they need than I recommend seeing dr. Rowland. A mom and pop vet who knows you by name and cares. The staff cares that much also, if not more.

My dog was limping and I brought her in and I was told she needed rest and steroid shots, we tried steroid shots for a few visits but I didn’t see much improvement. He told me with the way she broke her Acl (ccl)she would not be a candidate for surgery. She now is paralyzed (went to her spine) she scoots around on her butt, lost control of stools, and has a spastic bladder that I have to release for her. We went to our usual vet (he’s was out due to surgery) and he told us she could of had surgery and she would be walking on all fours. I was heart broken for my baby!. I also brought her in for a cough and he told me her «trachea was collapsing» I said no I think it’s kennel cough I brought her to petsmart a few days ago she probably got it there. He said no that cough is different her trachea is collapsing she needs surgery. I told him I just need her on an antibiotic I’m positive it’s kennel cough if it doesn’t clear up within 48 hours I’ll bring her back in and he finally agreed. 48 hours later my baby’s cough was 80% better. I would check his credentials!

LOVE Dr. Rowland! My whole family comes here with their pets. When my cat of 16 years become ill doc told me to take her home and love her one more night and to bring her in the next day to say goodbye, even though they were closed the next day, he made arrangements to meet me there. He took care of her in life and death, and helped me to cope with letting go of my friend. Dr. Rowland is the best and he really cares about your pets, they aren’t just another number to him. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I have two dogs that go here. One is 8, the other is 2. Every time we go for checkup or shots that are «included» in the plan, we walk out paying no less than $ 50! Always an upgrade suggested «for our pets’ well being»? The last draw was when I called 5 – 10 minutes before closing and my dog ingested something, I asked to come in quickly because I live near. The answer was to take her to emergency care. They really showed my dogs best interest? I would warn all to enroll in pet plans there. It isn’t the savings you expect when they nickel and dime you every «included» visit. One star is a stretch!

We have been taking our dogs to Doc for probably around 7 – 8 years and they have always gone above and beyond to accomodate us. Even when we have to wait, it is worth it. We moved a few years ago from the Lockport area to Lagrange and we still make the trip to go to Doc. I have tried some vets closer to us and they always try to suggest stuff we don’t need, and charge exorbitant prices. Doc is always honest with us and his prices are affordable for us. When my dogs need things done, I know they are in the best hands possible, the staff is so good with the animals and I feel completely comfortable leaving my animals in their care. We love

I have been taking my pets to Dr. Rowland for over 20 years. He is a kind, considerate man, who genuinely cares about animals. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Rowland and his staff. I have recommended him to several friends and family members over the years, and they have always been extremely grateful for the recommendation.

Where to start?! We’ve been taking our 2 huskies here since they adopted us. about 5 years. Dr Rowland & his staff are amazing. they truly love animals & what they do. They’ve always been kind & compassionate.
Then yesterday happened. We came to the heartbreaking fact that we would have to let our older boy (Anchor).go to heaven. he had been suffering from various ailments for some time. Dr Rowland & Melanie were so wonderful. they took us through this horrible experience with love & patience. We miss our Anchor terribly. but Dr Rowland & his staff made it a bit easier

We recommend Dr. Rowland to anyone we know with pets. He is always very straightforward and accommodating. Not to mention, affordable. There is absolutely no question that we will never use another vet as long as Doc Rowland is open. His staff is great, and everyone in the office is extremely knowledgeable. Best vet anywhere!

Excellent vet! Really cares about the animals! He charges alot less than most vets so he is a great deal too! Been going to him over 10 years!

First thing I noticed is that Dr Rowland does not have science diet which is not healthy food. He took his time to explain things to me and obviously cared about animals. I finally found a great vet!

I have been taking my pets to Doc for 9+ years. He always takes good care of them and genuinely cares about their well being. He is practical and honest and doesn’t opt for expensive testing when other routes can be taken first. I have had to put down two pets and he was amazing. He’s great with kids and helped my daughter cope with the loss of our 14 ½ year old dog. When another dog got very sick unexpectedly, Doc did everything he could to save him. Unfortunately he died, and Doc took the loss very hard. He cares about «his» animals. A lot. Wait times are sometimes long, but that is because he doesn’t rush through appointments. He takes the time each animal needs from him. Best vet around.

This vet nearly killed my dog by overdosing him on meds and had me returning weekly for a problem he was aggravating. Thanks to cresthill dog clinic for saving him and getting us away from a quack vet !! Zero stars!

I heard about Dr. Rowland from some family friends. My dog was having some issues related to her breed (Boston Terrier) and old age (11 years). Both of the vets that I visited in Lockport suggested some pretty wild tests and $ 30/​week medication. Dr. Rowland took a look at my dog, suggested a $ 20 shot, and we were on our way. The dog was back to normal in 3 days. Awesome diagnosis, expert doc.

Dr Rowland is a great vet. I wish I would have found him sooner than I did. he is very honest, and knowledgeable about the ins and outs of symptoms and problems with my Dog. He is honest, and will actually recommend things that save you money, instead of ripping you off, or shoving un-​needed stuff down your animals throat like alot of other vets will do. The only drawback is that he is sort of on a Axl Rose time schedule, so expect to wait a little past your appointment time to get in.

Best vet ever and you can’t beat his prices anywhere ! This guy really cares and he has an intiutiveness about your animal. My dog came in so sick (sleeping, not eating, and eyes half closed when he was up) and he figured out it was his anal sacs that were full causing all this. How he figured that out, I don’t know, but after emptying them out my dog perked up and was back to normal. Now we are on a regular schedule with keeping those anal sacs empty and the dog doesn’t get sick any longer ! No unneccessary testing, he just knew– the guy is honest and knowledgeable. He just remodeled his office, too and it is really nice inside as well. Your animal will receive top notch care here at an excellent price.
