Mulligans Island

Showed up here at 8:45pm with four people and we’re behind another party of four in line when we were informed by the girl at the desk that the owner decided to close at 9pm instead of 10pm and «we are in the process of updating the website» so the last time to start golfing was 8:30pm. I’m looking forward to trying the other mini golf places in the area!

Mini golf is an awesome family activity! We needed a place to mix it up after dinner. So checking out Google then Unilocal we found this place which was a 7 min drive from our hotel. Pretty impressive that the facility has two 18 hole mini golf courses plus batting cages and a par three golf course. The batting cages looked awesome. I will have to check me out next time we head down. As for the mini golf there are some very clever awesome holes and some holes that are very plain jane ordinary. There is a volcano/​waterfall that spews fire (unfortunately it did just before we came) once every hour. The waterfall is cool and has some water that snakes it’s way around a few holes. Turf was clean and in good condition. At the end of the round you drop your ball to try for a free round. It’s the lowest priced round for a member of your group. So if you come with kids it will be a kids round. Still we won one and will use it up on next visit as the girl working there mentioned it never expires! Good times!

They have two 18 hole mini golf courses. This way you can choose which one you want to do. Some of the holes were a lot of fun and others were just okay. Most of the mini golf course looks new! The turf looks like it was replaced this year. The driving range and batting cages were fun too!

I’d give it 0 stars if I could. RUDE employees, over priced mini golf $ 10 a person for ONE side of the course not both… Ridiculous. Takes less than 15 minutes to go through. The girl who gave my friend and I our putters did not say we would have to pay EXTRA to go on the second course, only when we walked over did we finally hear her speak «THATS AN EXTRA $ 5 A PERSON»… That’s a joke. She never mentioned we couldn’t go through both courses either, not did the person at the front window.
Or how about the family behind us putting informing us that we were on the children’s (not as hard) side of the course. The family told us that the girl who handed us the putters informed her of that… But then when we went to complain later «„both courses are the same“» oh really??? Then why tell another family a different story. Never will go back. That’s what you get for a mini golf course located next to a prison. Next time I’ll go somewhere cheaper where the staff is much friendlier. BTW don’t bother complaining if you have a bad experience because they won’t reply to emails and
they don’t care if you speak to them at the front desk BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Mulligan’s is a fun place for mini golf, driving range, pitch and put, and batting cages. I recently took my niece and nephew there for mini golf. They loved it! There’s two 18 hole courses to choose from — one with a volcano and one with a waterfall. We chose the waterfall one this time and it was challenging and fun. The course is clean and well kept. It’s $ 10 for adults and $ 8 for kids which is reasonable. At the end of the game, you get a chance to drop your ball in a plinko like box to see if you can win a free game. Bonus: there’s also a frozen lemonade stand available and it’s delicious!

Very well kept mini golf course with awesome waterfall /​volcano in the middle that sprays lightly onto the course. Kids loved it. Staff were very friendly and the grounds were extremely clean. Highly recommend.

Took the grandkids here for mini golf today. They have 2 18 hole courses. The kids of course wanted to go to the one with the volcano. Yup we got a little wet from it and it was cool when it erupted! Course was good, but way too many stairs for my liking with my old knees. I had to quit after 8 holes, but the kids finished and loved it.
They also have tons of driving ranges for those who enjoy that. Prices for mini golf were $ 10 for adults and $ 8 for kids. I guess that’s ok since it cost $ 5 a person in the days when my kids were young. Not too bad an increase in all these years.
A fun way for a family to spend some outdoor time together, or time with friends, or even a date!

Pretty good golf course. It was fun and not too expensive. The only thing was the drive. It was fun and something nice to do once In awhile. Golf course big and well kept.

Had a Groupon and decided to use it for miniature golf. Decided on the RED course, which goes through the volcano, which was dormant during our visit… not smoke nor water falling on the side of the mountain.
Even though this is the easy course, there were some really fun holes. The day I went it was nice and sunny, temps in the mid 70s, so it was just a perfect day for putt putt. The complex has many other sporting offering… check their website for options.

Really bad customer service. We went to use the batting cages and they stopped working. We asked for our money back and we’re told no by the retarded teenager.

Such a cute mini golf course! There’s two courses to choose from and I’ve only been to one so I need to go back to see which one is better!
I went to the right and really liked. There’s little waterfalls and a mountain, but make sure you don’t hit your ball into the water… I actually did that and had to take the walk of shame back through the course to get myself another ball. Other than that, I had a great time and loved it!

I love Mulligans. Growing up in Southern RI, where Mini Golf places are sparse and after the removal of Fiddlesticks were basically non-​existant. I have frequented Mulligans at least twice a summer for the past 10 years. Now that I live minutes away its fantastic.
The husband loves the driving range and pitch and put and I love the mini golf. They also have batting cages for those that are into that.
I would say price is average, you won’t find anywhere else where you can play a round for less than $ 10. I like the fact there are 2 courses to choose from and I find the holes challenging and fun. We always have a great time. One thing I wish they did provide were nets to rescue lost balls from the water. The water is pretty disgusting and stagnant, having to reach in is less than desirable.
The icing is the fact you can try to win a free game at the end by dropping your ball into a plinko type box. I used to be pretty lucky at this and would score a free game at least once a season. Great thought on their part, brings people back. Honestly if you are looking for a nice date night or family night it is worth a stop.

Family fun for mom, dad, and the kids! I love Mulligan’s Island. Hidden at the end of Reservoir Ave (by the ACI & Pastore, past Garden City), Mulligans is a great spot to spend a few hours with the family. Mulligans has volleyball, batting cages, a driving range, miniature golf, and a Par 3 golf course.

Every summer calls for at least one round of mini golf, and this is where we take ours in. It’s $ 10 a head, and for that price you can choose one of two paths:
— RED = easy-​peasy
— BLUE = difficult
Red is so easy you’ll find yourself in a state of ennui. Full of par twos, and simple enough to score a hole in one at least once. Michael and I both did it. This is the side where you «go through the mountain» but it’s a nap of a hole, so don’t feel tempted, unless the kiddos beg.
Blue is quite labor intensive with multiple par three and fours. If you’re out on a hot day be sure to bring lots of water cuz it might take you a few hours to make it to the 19^th — your pick of Cranston watering holes!
They allow you to do another round at a discounted rate of $ 5/​person and a practice putting green is available which I strongly encourage you to use prior to the blue course.
The balls and putters suck, especially if you’re tall — so BYOPutter if you want to play a proper round of mini.

This was a pretty fun place to go. We took the more difficult mini-​golf course. It was difficult (well, I’m not skilled in mini-​golf), but I remember going to places with really fun obstacles as a kid. This didn’t have that, just twists and bumps. We also went to the driving range, and had fun with that. So, I would say it is fun (for the third time), but not the most super exciting mini-​golf course I’ve ever been to.

My boyfriend loves the driving range because you can get a jumbo-​sized bucket of balls for what he says is a reasonable price. Plus there’s covered space to keep you out of a blazing sun or to keep you dry in a drizzle.
The mini-​golf was okay. We had fun because our surroundings didn’t really matter, but the course was sparsely decorated and super-​compact. Don’t really need to go again.
But I am sure that we’llbe back for the driving range.

I read Kelli P.‘s review just before heading out to meet friends, and suddenly thought «I don’t want to go!», but everyone was already on their way, so I took the best advice she had to say: DON’T go the route that will take you away from the Volcano!
Mulligan’s definitely needs to tell you which will go through that great cascade of water, but maybe the other route doesn’t have anything else as exciting? The whole experience was so-​so, and I agree that $ 10 is a lot; if this were some fab place in Florida adorned with pink flamingos or a cool old-​fashioned place on the Cape, that would be one thing… but it’s next to the prison. And with lots of annoying 15 yr old kids who I wanted to strangle who were behind us…

My husband had the day off from work so I figured we should try something new. My dad used to take my brother and I mini golfing all over New England when we were kids so when I discovered one in Cranston, I was pretty excited! The website offered a great time!
It was pretty easy to get to although I was shocked it was right next to the state prison. Good place to bring your kids! The parking was nice and easy too and it was not very busy when we were there.
The service was not very personable. I was shocked that for two adults it cost $ 20! That’s a lot for mini golf! I’m used to $ 7 per person! Anyways, I was also disappointed that we could not choose our own putter! By the time I was handed by putter and checked to see if it was the right length, the lady was already gone. So, I was stuck with a putter that was too short.
Then, they have two courses! Sounds great right? Well, it’s not because there is nothing to indicate which course has what and I really wanted to mini golf through the volcano. Of course, there are no signs with any explanation and no one around to help. We chose the blue course and it really sucked! The mats were uneven, there was debris all over the place and the water was nasty!
Although I had fun kicking my husband’s butt, I did not find Mulligan’s Island to be that big of a deal. I’ve mini golfed in much nicer facilities!

A bonus star for being a mini-​golf existing in Cranston-​near the state prison. This review is based on my mini golf experience here. Did not partake of the Par 3, or driving range.
$ 10 per adult=$ 20 game. Bitchy teenage cashiers. Approacheth the beginning of the course=total confusion. There is a Blue course, and a Red course, neither is explained. After asking bitchy teen #2 we are told Blue couse is the harder of the 2, so commenseth the game. 18 mini holes of frustration. Totally uneven and threadbare astroturf + polluted stanky water runoff from the waterfall feature (which we had to fish balls from several times)=suck. Many insects. In October in NE. Fiberglass décor literally coming apart-​we kicked some of it around. I’d say skip it.

This place gets 2.5−3 stars mainly because it is expensive for what you get.
The mini golf course is nothing to write home about although it is fun for a half hour of enjoyment. The problem is the price is way too high for what they give you.
The range is basically average to slightly below average in terms of amenities (mats, tees, yardage parkers), but they charge you 5 star prices. I just went last week and a large bucket has gone to $ 12 for 105 balls. For that price, the mats should be nicer and the yardage markers more plentiful. Also, the quality of the balls leave something to be desired.
