New Jersey Imaging Network – Cranford

I was very disappointed in the service of their tech, Lisa today. I inadvertently came to the office without my yearly mammogram script. When ther receptionist reminded me of that I offered twice to come back another time. She assured me that it would be fine as long as I had the Dr fax it over on Monday. I said fine. But when I was called in by Lisa she seemed to have a chip on her shoulder about it and became argumentative and defensive about it, questioning me repeatedly. I asked her why she kept asking me and she said defensively that it was «her license». Again, I told her I offered to come back. So I went into the exam and she started the first picture and quite carelessly allowed the machine to go too far and it hurt. I told her she was hurting me but she still continued to take the picture. When I confronted her that it seemed deliberate. She said «I am the tech.» To which I replied, well I am the patient! At that point I decided not to go any further with the test and said I didn’t want to continue. First she said that I had to continue since she I took one picture but then realized that of course I did not have to. When I left the office I told the receptionist about it and she did not even apologize! Now, I have been coming to that lab a long time and don’t expect this callous behavior from a health care professional. I no longer recommend going to this place. I write this so that other patients do not have to tolerate Lisa’s careless and perhaps deliberate attitude and behavior.
