El Jacalito

Was in town for a a family members sporting event, and we decided to give this place a try. It is in a shopping center, and a hole in the wall — but don’t let that stop you!
We immediately had a table, and service within seconds & the service was continuously good the entire time.
I loved, loved, loved the salsa & chips. The chips were warm! Plus, the salsa comes in a tube container on the table, and you can serve yourself! It was so good, we had another.
We ordered fajitas for two — combo & they are extremely generous on the portion size. They were probably my absolute favorite, I’ve ever had! The tortillas were Homeade & very good.
Needless to say, we will drive the 30 minutes often now… It’s too good to not have again!

Quick and good service. Their cheese enchiladas are super good and the salsa is delicious. Rice & beans are very good too.

Disappointing! My family used to be regulars here, and although cleanliness was suspect, the service was always fast, friendly enough, and a good value for the $. We moved a year ago, but were in town visiting last night & brought a family group of 6 to El Jacalito. The wait staff rushed around, frowning like they had too much to do, but the place was pretty empty. We got our chips but had to ask for the salsa; they were very slow taking our order, and the food took f o r e v e r! It was an hour from the time we arrived until we got our food. Worse yet, my fav on the menu was only «OK», not good like I remembered. The chicken was very tough. Some of the food was cold. And the salsa is STILL too hot to enjoy. WE WILL NOT BE BACK. (And PLEASE close that door on the cooler already! Nothing in there will stay refrigerated when the door is left open!!)

No alcohol served. Food, service and building were all unacceptable. I had fajitas and found them inedible. Overall, very bad experience for me and family. We will not be back.

This is my favorite Mexican food restaurant! Great prices and portions, plus it’s a local business so it’s really laid back and you know by choosing them you support the area! Chicken enchilada is amazing and the queso is so good!

My wife and stopped in on ⁹⁄₂ about 8:15 pm.
The service SUCKED and when we finally got theTacos Al Carbon we ordered the meat was burnt
We informed the wait staff and were totally ignored. No one cared.
Have been here before and liked the food but after last night we wont be back

Best cheese enchiladas with chili sauce that I have ever had! Service is fabulous and quick!

One of our favorite places to eat, great food, service, and atmosphere! Cant go wrong with this place. I always get the enchiladas, beans, rice, and a side of guac, love it! I wish they had a patio and served beer and margarita’s though.

Amazing food, fast and friendly service! You get plenty of food for the price! Their lunch specials are awesome also!

My family & I love this place. Friendly staff, great food, great prices. Delicious Iced Tea. You will be amazed at how much meat you get when you order the fajitas. We have the menu memorized for the most part.
