Specialties

Located in the Historic Licking Riverside district of Covington, Roebling Point Books & Coffee is the première shopping destination for booklovers and java drinkers of every age.

We aim to be a hub for the community in that we can provide meeting space for poets, readers, book clubs, or just your group of friends. Let us know what you’d like to see at our store and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Located inside the bookstore, we serve hot coffee, cool, iced drinks, and fresh donuts from Holtman’s from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays, and 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Sundays.

History

Established in 2010.

When trying to recollect the sketchy history of Roebling Point Books & Coffee, it’s not my disorganization nor faulty memory that makes me not know precisely when we first hung out the green Open banner from Renaissance Covington. Truth be told, as it is the same for every shop in our fair city, it truly doesn’t matter what day or month we started. Our value to and role within this community only begins when someone walks in the door. If he or she just walks on by, then regardless of how many remarkable books we have on the shelf or how welcoming and wonderful our staff is, we’re not adding any value to that moment in their lives. Which is what we aim to do. That is the «why» which is much more important than the «when.»

Meet the Business Owner

Richard W.

Business Owner

Founding Roebling Point Books has allowed me the pleasure of meeting so many people that I probably wouldn’t have had the opportunity to know otherwise. Fascinating, fortifying folks who constantly rekindle my faith in the human spirit. It can be overwhelming, it certainly is humbling, and yet it inspires me to share books and ideas and words of wise authors so that our culture might grow collectively.

I believe the human condition is improved by acknowledging that everyone with a heart has the same hopes and dreams, and that by reading and reasoning and reflecting, we will lift one another up. Our golden future lies not at the end of a yellow brick road. Instead, it’s a path paved by books, described by dreamers and those who dare, to protect and light the way for us all. And we’ll do our share by putting books in people’s hands every time we get the chance.
