One of my favorite restaurants in the area. A little pricey, but usually worth it. Marcus does a great job an is attentive without being pushy. We used to come a couple of times a month, but stopped once they removed their Happy Hour food specials. We were told the HH food menu was being re-done, but that was 6 – 8 months ago.

Can you say Scrumptious? Everything from the second we walked in the door was unbelievable! Paige was an excellent, attentive server, who helped us make all the right choices with drinks. The pear martini with sage… Wow. Chef Daniel was ridiculous with his dishes, I felt like we were on Top Chef, his food was Amazing! From the Cremona mushroom appetizers to the smoked salt tenderloin, it was Delicious. Every Bite. Chef Alex did a phenomenal job with the grill, the Brick chicken was mouthwatering. Love love Pardo’s!

We enjoyed the food, however our experience was tainted by the raunchy language coming from the open kitchen. I clearly heard the MF word along with some other vulgar talk, while seated in the dining room. There’s no excuse for this type of behavior.

I will preface my review by stating that the atmosphere is nice, food is good and servers are great. The night manager is an unprofessional nightmare. Due to his atrocious behavior, I will never return to that restaurant again. This gentleman, and I use that term loosely, loudly chastised two servers that were trying their best to give good customer service. He did this in front of the entire restaurant instead of speaking to them away from the clientele. The night manager went on to yell at us across the building that the restaurant had closed 45 minutes ago. And he informed us the server was only 17. This, in my humble opinion, was an insinuation that we were trying to flirt with the young man which was certainly not the case. We were both completely mortified by the experience and quickly left the restaurant after paying the bill. My friend apologized to the server since we had gotten him into trouble. We said absolutely nothing derogatory about the manager. This man, followed us out to the car and yelled at us again. My friend simply said we do not appreciate being yelled at across a restaurant. We got into the car and left. This place is literally 8 minutes from my home. I adore the truffle fries and have been there many times. It is a shame that I no longer feel comfortable returning. This man must of gotten his hotel and restaurant management degree online from an unaccredited institution of higher learning. He should not be managing a fast food restaurant much less a high end eating establishment. I will take my money to Del Porto, La Provence, Lola(on the weekends), Ox Lot 9 or Dakota. They know how to treat a customer!

Food was excelent. I had the filet mignon and my wife had scallops. I had the oyster app and my wife had lobster and crab app. We skipped deserts because the only chocolate one they had was chocolate bread pudding. Service also excellent. They were attentive, multiple people checked on us whithout feeling bothered or stepping on each other. Prices were acceptable considering the quality of food and service.

Had a great family dinner at Pardos. Delicious food and craft cocktails. Love the open kitchen. Does not feel like you are dining in a strip mall once you walk in.

Delicious food and wonderful cocktails! Dining experience worth the cost. Being able to see the chef in the kitchen adds unique atmosphere. Plus, they had a GREAT staff! Loved it!!!

Finally made it to Pardos and not sure why we waited so long! Great food and great service. Adam our waiter was spot on, Our reservations were for 7:00 and only 1 or 2 tables occupied at the time. By the time we left, packed and people waiting at the bar. My wife got gulf fish of the day, Drum and she said it was amazing. Daughter, 8 got Mac pasta Alfredo which I think was actually Mac and Cheese. She enjoyed it. I got the gumbo special with crawfish. Very good. We will be back!

A great restaurant with friendly staff and delicious food. However, it is extremely expensive and as long as you know that going in, you will have a memorable meal. I tried two appetizers, the scallops and the grilled oysters. The scallops should be called scallop as I only got one. It was good, but I expected more than one. The oysters were great, all six of them. So, I would get the oysters over the scallops. For dinner, I tried the drum with fried oysters and spinach. It was wonderful. I also tried the veal special which was on top of paleo. It was okay. Both entrees were huge and served piping hot, which was a pleasant surprise. I would rate the fish over the veal. For dessert, I tried the cheesecake and vanilla ice cream. Both were big portions, but not better than any store bought cheesecake and ice cream. The server was animated which most of my party enjoyed, but I’m not into that sort of service. Just be attentive, which they were, and forget about entertaining. Again, most of my party enjoyed it, I did not. Great experience, but very expensive.

I had hoped to write a review of the food at Pardos but instead must address their service. We were looking for an excellent place on the Northshore for a dinner on Mardi Gras for my husband and me and two close friends. We used to live in New Orleans but were just visiting now. It would be our only chance for a nice dinner in the area for a long time. My husband had booked an online reservation using their web site. Realizing that Mardi Gras Day might be an unusual time, He called the restaurant to reconfirm the reservation and they assured him they would be open for that day. When we drove up at the appropriate time, Pardos was completely dark. If their plans to be open had changed, perhaps they could have called him since his phone number was included in the reservation information. Needless to say, we are VERY displeased with service from Pardos. So much for the claim on their web site: «Pardos takes pride in accommodating patrons at our restaurant».

I can’t say enough great things about this place. Disclaimer: I’ve only been twice, both times were for lunch, and I got the same dish each time. The crab sandwich is incredible. Their staff(wait, kitchen and bar) is incredible, friendly and knowledgeable. Truly 5 start dining in a suburban strip mall. I will be back often.

Went earlier this fall and was very impressed. The location in a strip mall kinda odd, but the space is attractive and the service was good. Had the crabmeat eggplant stack appetizer which was very good and then a salmon asian fusion dish which was delicious. Salmon with a coconut lemongrass broth on zoodles and ramen. The broth tasted like a ramen packet — it was actually very elegantly presented. Did not have room to try dessert, but this is on our list to go back and try. Worth a trip across the lake.

We visited Pardos last night based on the recommendation of a New Orleans chef. My wife and I do not consider ourselves gourmets but rather foodies as for us it is all about the flavors. We were not disappointed as we found the foods deliciously prepared, presentation that was excellent and service approaching perfection. The ambiance was festive and we couldn’t stop talking about the fact that the restaurant simply has it all together.

It’s a little pretentious for being in a strip mall. My date called ahead to make a reservation and asked about the dress code. They informed him it was more on the«dressy side»; I showed up in nice jeans and a sweater and fit in just fine. So if you’re wondering what to wear, at least on a week day, you’ll be over dressed coming in a tie or dress. That said, the service was great. Our waitress seemed a little green, but she got the job done nicely. Wine selection was ok. My salmon special was delicious and his filet was cooked to his liking. I’d say to skip the foie gras here; it could really be a dessert the way it’s served and it’s an incredibly small portion for the price… I’ve had much better for equal or less. We didn’t get dessert because nothing really jumped out at either of us. Overall, it was a nice experience but nothing wow’d me. Would I go back? Perhaps for wine and an appetizer. But it was very expensive for what it is, and there’s other places in Covington I’d rather spend that kind of money at.

I took my family for my mother’s 86th birthday lunch! The service and attention was 5 star. The food competes with any of New Orleans finest. It is comfort food with a unique upgrade on the par of Susan Spicer. As a foody, I consider this in the top 5 restaurants on the northsore, but for overall ambiance, service, and experience, it is 1st on my list. My 11 year old was treated just as well as the birthday girl. And yes, there is a childrens menu, which matters when you want to expose your children to fine dining, but also want them to enjoy it! I pray it stays the jewel it is and does not ruin it with getting bigger!

We found a fabulous little gem tucked away in Covington across the street from Target right off of I-12. The meal started out with freshly baked bread and a wonderful dipping oil. My wife ordered the Filet n Shrimp and I had the Special pizza of the day. My wife(who is not a huge fan of seafood) raved about the shrimp, not to mention that the filet was cooked to perfection. I was in food heaven — thin crusted pizza topped with steak, caramelized onions, mushrooms & a 3 cheese topping. Debbie took care of all our needs, our only regret is that we did not leave room for dessert! First time customer, will be back & soon.

Outstanding ensemble of food, service, and atmosphere. Menu includes a wide choice of meat and seafood, all cooked superbly. I had an excellent gumbo and a seared, grilled fish. My two friends had scallops, and pork chops. Everything was well-prepared and artfully presented. Service was attentive and knowledgeable, without showiness. It helped that my friend who recommended going here is a regular customer. Pardo’s works well with the small strip– mall location. The place was packed with looked like local customers. We brought our own wine, so I can’t comment on the wine selection. If you are out in this corner of the Northshore, I recommend dining here.

Pardos never disappoints. We went to the french wine dinner featuring Rosenthal wines. Everything was delicious! We have been going to Pardos since they’ve opened and they have been through a couple of chefs, but the food is always delicious and on point, and their operation is very consistent. They have a good lunch menu as well. I consider it one of the best, if not THEBEST restaurant on the northshore.

Have been here many times and plan on many more. Quite possibly the best restaurant on Northshore, always a very interesting and exciting menu, which changes from time to time, but never even slightly disappointed. A can’t miss.

Well. First make sure you make a reservation. According to the website, reservations are taken but not required. We’ve been trying to get to Pardo’s for months; we walk in and the hostess gives us a quick lookover(we were in casual attire not shorts and flip flops) and asks if we had reservations. No we don’t. She tells us it could be awhile and if we didn’t want to wait we could go next door to Tchoupstix because back in May Pardo’s bought Tchoupstix and redid the menu and made it so much better than what it was. So my tip… make reservations and dress upscale. Doubtful we’ll return to try the place out. Really put off by the reception we received. If you know me, you know I’m pretty easy going. So there ya go… enjoy the strip mall upscale bistro.

Great restaurant! Loved the service. Stephanie was very attentive! The pulled pork sandwich was so tender and tasty. It was the cheek of the lamb and wonderful. The crab sandwich with lump crab meat was also a good lunch item. It’s like grilled cheese with lump crab meat, WOW! I will return when I am in the area!

Wow! Luxury in a Covington strip mall! It is really lovely inside the restaurant. The service was as impeccable as anything you’d find in a Brennan’s establishment, from the multiple refills on my iced tea, to every other pleasant yet unobstrusive interaction. Now, on to the food! My mother and I had an appetizer of perfectly crispy oysters that came arranged around a polenta cake. We split this amazing crab sandwich with lump crabmeat, white remoulade, and harvarti because we are small women and not wealthy. As with any excellent establishment, the halves of sandwich were plated separately for us and I’m sure they gave us extra pommes frittes. Oh, there was some lovely bread and olive oil. Anyway, it was completely worth every dollar and calorie.
