Had car trouble right off the interstate. Was just visiting Covington for the day and didn’t know where to call for help. The guys at Jess N Sons went above and beyond to help me out. The driver even made sure I found a shuttle to take me and my family where we needed to go. They are also mechanics and were able to fix my car quickly. With no way to get back to there shop, I asked if they could pick me up. Without hesitation they had no problem bringing the car to me. I expected to pay thru the nose but was relieved when I saw the bill. You can tell this is a honest family business.

So, who likes going to the impound lot? Well, not me! Who reviews an impound lot? Apparently, me!
I just wanted to give a little shout out to Jess’n’sons: I was actually helping a friend out of town on vacation after their car was towed from the street. The situation was pretty lame: there was 24 hours ‘no parking’ notice for a public service, our friends were out of town already — and, as most impound lots are — there’s a daily charge once your towed.
We arrived to pick up the car, and it was a little difficult to find the office at first, but once I found it, the staff was friendly. They were kind amidst the frustrating circumstance, and even knocked a little off the bill of keeping the car because of the situation. Cool.
So, again — if you’re going to be impounded for a silly ticket, these are your guys.

I was unfortunately involved in an automobile accident recently, and the police officer offered to call in a tow truck for my vehicle. Fantastic, I say. One less thing to worry about. The fellow who came was quite nice and affable, considering it was 1 in the morning. I left with a good feeling about him, and by extension, the company.
I called two days later to ask about my car. I first wanted to know what the damage was, monetarily speaking. In the past I’ve dealt with storage places that charge $ 10 or less a day. Here, the drum beats to the tune of $ 35 a day.
I was not at all pleased with this, and told the secretary that I am not paying for another day, and to remove my car immediately. She was very insistent that I not do that, as «the insurance company will pay for that», and «it will just need to be moved again to get it fixed». Jess n Sons Secretary… sidebar please.
Thank you. Now that we’re free from the prying eyes of the internet, I’d like to tell you, personally, to go to hell. My car insurance, like everyone else’s, is very expensive. Knowing what I know now of your practices, the total just to KEEP the car would be close to $ 500. At the time of writing, I still do not have my car repaired, as I’m sure you know the world of insurance is not instant. I’d speculate, that if I went with your advice, the total would creep closer to $ 800 when everything is all said and done. That’s just for storage, no repairs mind you. I understand, you’re a business. You want to make money, and the consumer is more than willing to go along with it since it’s not coming out of their pocket. Except it is. It’s coming out of my pocket in the form of higher premiums for everyone. I don’t much like to have that burden of responsibility weigh on me. Maybe we are different people, you and I. I try to be a kind, responsible member of society. You like to not be. Apples and oranges I suppose.
So, my total for 2 days of storage, moving the car ~3 miles from the scene, and then to my parents house for storage is $ 220. For 2 days of storage. Thankfully my insurance will pay that. But what if it didn’t?
I wish our story ended with you extorting insurance companies’ money. Sadly it does not. You were kind enough to call me for directions to its new home, tow trucker driver guy. I was happy to comply, as I wanted your grubby mitts off my car ASAP. I told you to not block the driveway, and told you of a spot you could put it that did not do that. There are actually five such spots, any would be sufficient. Did you heed my advice and do that? No. You got it half on the gravel pit offshooting the driveway, which is basically as good as not at all, since it still blocked access. How did you possibly think this was a good idea? You work with moving cars all day, I think you could adequately judge the size of one. I’m sorry to say I was wrong.
I go into my car to retrieve a few things I had left inside. I keep a handful of water bottles in a compartment in the back, a bottle of hand sanitizer in the console, along with some other personal artifacts. The hand sanitizer was about half gone (seriously, how much do you need?!) and thrown onto the floor. In addition, all my water bottles were drained, and their remnants strewn about the automobile. I wish I could say I’m surprised. I cannot. I hope you found my personal stuff interesting.
I also cannot, under any circumstances, recommend you use Jess n Sons for your towing needs. Next time, I will simply torch my vehicle and save some cash.
