History

Established in 1986.

JCM’s Pet Boarding Facility was founded in 1986.

Owner, Jean Manino, who began training dogs professionally in1979, established JCM’s Pet Boarding Facility in response to an overwhelming demand from her students.

JCM’s Pet Boarding Facility was first established in St. Bernard Parish. This homey environment was ideal for pet care. She didn’t know it at the time, but she was on the forefront of developing the ultimate in pet boarding splendor with innovative ideas and creative design.

We are still in the process of recovering from Katrina. Our facility has been scaled down considerably since our relocation to the Northshore, but this is only temporary. We are slowly coming back. Our goal is to have our facility bigger and better that ever. In the meantime, I can promise you that your pet will NOT receive better care anywhere else.

«I wanted to create a place with the dog’s best interest at heart. A place where pets felt comfortable, with lots of frequent outdoor time to explore, and large indoor enclosures that didn’t feel like enclosures at all.»

I was appalled with what was considered the «norm.» Cramped dingy indoor quarters and outdoor space with barely enough room to turn around. Locked up for 12 to 15 hours with no one there. Dogs let out to potty only twice a day. Completely Unacceptable.
