It’s foss. Anyone from around here knows it’s truly amazing. If you grew up coming here you already know. If not I’m sorry because this place is and has always been great!

I go here all the time to get some grocoeries for the week. Love this store, and love hoq everything is in 1 place.

This place may look like a run down market but inside you will find a wonderful family and their awesome deli!
You can buy your typical things that you might find inside a gas station here: chips, candy, drinks, etc. But if you’re hungry, they offer a deli with made to order sandwiches, pizza and they even do coffee!
I came here with my brother to get some lunch. They make your sandwiches to order and you can pick your bread: white, light wheat, dark honey wheat or sourdough and also your cheese: cheddar, American, provolone, swiss, and pepper jack. Getting extra veggies cost 50 cents, extra cheese is $ 1 and extra meat is $ 1.50. However, they are so generous with what they put in your sandwich that I don’t think the extras are necessary.
#1 Chicken Caesar. If you like chicken caesar salad, then you will love this. This is basically a salad into sandwich filling form but so much creamier and dreamier. They definitely do not skimp out on the filling here. You aren’t going to find any dry pieces of chicken breast in this sandwich because they make sure that everything is creamy and moist. You can add lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles to this as well. Every bite is just packed with delicious flavor. Definite must try.
#2 Walking Turkey. You can get the classic turkey sandwich with cheese or you can get it with cranberries and cream cheese (almost like Thanksgiving!). I decided to go with the classic kind and get mine with added avocado (50 cents) instead of putting mayo and mustard on mine. I chose swiss cheese and added the tomato, onion, lettuce and pickles. The dark honey wheat bread is definitely hearty and is such a good combiner for all the elements. There is a lot of turkey in the sandwich and the veggies are fresh. I love how the avocado was super green and creamy when they made my sandwich. Overall, good hearty sandwich.
It’s about $ 5 for the sandwich which could probably buy you a footlong from subway but there was definitely a home-​y feel to this sandwich. It’s comforting and all the ingredients feel fresh and natural. The family here are very nice and make sure your sandwich is made exactly how you want it. Definitely would come back if in the area again!

Very poor customer service every time I go there. The clerks are more interested in talking to each other then the customer. I went there to grab a few things today, thinking it would easier than driving down to Safeway, but now I wish I would have made the trip to Safeway. The cashier was very loud and watching the Seahawks game while ringing up my items. She didn’t even acknowledge me and was shouting at the TV instead of giving me my cash back. Very rude. I will not be spending my money there again to pay her salary.

I grew up in the area but left for university and only returned a few years ago to start a new life back home. I was excited to see Foss was still around AND that they had made some changes like adding in the deli. I stopped in one day while making my move back and saw the pizza and asked if it was true New York style. They said they weren’t familiar with New York style BUT the family that makes their pizza dough every day is from New York, so I figured I would give it a try.
All I can say is WOW! yes this pizza is the real thing. I have searched in the Seattle area for pizza that was even close to New York /​Brooklyn style and never found it until this place. I love that they allow you to select your own toppings and even give you the option of having them cook it or you take it home and cook it.
The sauce is great, not overwhelming, and the toppings are extremely fresh, and the crust is the absolute best, it has just right consistency and flavor that helps to bring out the taste of the toppings. I have ordered from here several times and have never been disappointed and have introduced many others to the pizza who have also been extremely surprised at how a small mom & pop type grocery store & deli can turn out such amazing pizza.
I give 5 stars for both the pizza and the staff who are always so friendly.
If you want to taste real pizza AND the BEST pizza in the Covington /​Kent area, you have to give this place a try.
Now if I can just convince them to start doing delivery :)

i’m talking about their PIZZA here. It’s the best around. The crust is SO thin and the top is extra cheesy. Way better than any of the pizza chains.
Also their deli sandwiches are good too, the carnivor is my husbands fav.

Old school market. m lots of things are sold here. There is not a lot of variety of any given product but this is not Fred Meyer. Service is fine and is casual and friendly. Great place when you need something quickly.

Wonderful mom-​and-​pop style grocery and deli. They are an old-​fashioned convenience store, that sells everything from fresh produce to canned goods to camping supplies. They have a deli that serves delicious, made to order sandwiches and a coffee stand. I just ate their pulled pork with coleslaw sandwich and it was amazing!!! Other selections include roast beef, tuna, turkey, the carnivore (any 2 meats, 2 cheeses and all the veggies), also they have pizza by the slice and hot soups. Sandwiches run from $ 4.99 to $ 7.99.
Definately recommend it if you’re driving by!!!
