The people here are great, like anything that’s worth it it just takes time, you’ll get better, and never doubt the fact that the people there pretty much donate their time to truly help you, and yes they sometimes have bad days too. Thank you Park Side West, you guys/​gals are amazing!!! Happy New Years!!!

worst mental hospital ever!!! nasty af. it’s dirty and boring. they don’t segregate people based on their level of sanity. my roommate had severe schizophrenia and would talk to herself all night. i ain’t even crazy! i’m just a drug addict. i’ve never been to jail but the food here was what i imagined prison food to be like. absolutely horrendous. the staff is mean and doesn’t distribute snacks. all you get is the nasty food they give you with frugal proportions for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. awful!!! this place is an absolute joke. i can’t believe it exists

My 19 year old son was placed in Parkside twice (once in Jan 2012 & just recently in May 2012) due to mental state of mind from use of methamphetamine. Yesterday (Jun 6, 2012) he phoned me wanting to go to rehab and not longer living the life he has been for the 6mths. He not having insurance, no monies… I phoned Parkside West for referrals, SHOCKED I was told they do not have any options nor have any clue where he can call to get help. I realized this place has «NO» plan of action!!! I wish he was taken to Aurora Charter Oak Hospital instead of Parkside… what poor service, and yet they knowing he does not have insurance nor the ability to pay, they keep sending him bills and not help him get emergency state insurance??? Baffled I am, it’s like a bad JOKE
