Lawrence W Carter Physical Therapy Corp

I have been to 2 other physical therapy places (a few years ago and not for this injury) before going to Lawrence W Carter Physical Therapy. the other two places were fantastic and were sport physical therapy places. However one closed down and the other was too far away. Lawrence Carter Physical Therapy was one of the few places covered by my new insurance. They are NOT a sports rehabs place. Their leg press machines did not have weights like the gym; there was nothing to strengthen your legs. The equipment is a joke for people who are into working out or play sports. the other machines for other injuries were very basic. Another thing is the «physical therapists» who are working on you are students who are studying to take the exam. Some were awesome; others would not listen to the patient. The only time a licensed Physical therapist work on me was my first visit to do the evaluation and last visit to do the final evaluation. The place closes early 3 days a week (t/​th/​f) so it is difficult to have after work sessions. They only told me they closed early on one day a week when I signed up.
When I told my doctor some of the «exercises» I had to do and how much of it was a waste of time, he was upset. If you want an easy place for physical therapy, then this place is for you. But if you want a physical therapy place that will challenge you and will make your injury get better quicker, go somewhere else.

I have tried out several physical therapy locations in the area and finally my search is over. Staff works directly with you on a regular basis and full fill your needs. Alexis is the receptionist and she’s far from rude, direct and all business is more like it. Location has plenty of parking (street or rear) and facility has fair amount of equipment. If you want to find a Staff who cares this is the place.

Larry Carter is a great physical therapist. He is understanding and very patient. You can tell he cares about each individual as he meets them in his office. He is very thorough and always asks how you’re doing. I would highly recommend this place. They just had the office renovated so everything looks great! I would of given it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the rude receptionist. She refuses to help you and has a very bad attitude. Other than her though everyone there is great!
