great service when I go in, everyone is knowledgeable in everything there. Saved me nearly $ 200 from going to BMW and getting a special bolt and o-​ring which they had in stock for only $ 2 ! Love it

I managed to strip the the terminal clamp nut/​bolt on my car while replacing the battery. Unfortunately, unlike every other manufacturer in existence, Land Rover uses this absurd nut with a conical, sloped interior surface as the tightening mechanism, and I couldn’t find a replacement anywhere (I checked all over the internet, every single hardware store, various forums). The dealership wanted me to buy the entire terminal clamp assembly, which costs $ 80, due to wonderful over-​engineering and the addition of stupid monitoring systems and sensors. Everybody I talked to was convinced the particular nut is probably only made very specifically for Land Rover and that I’d have to pony up the eighty bucks for a replacement. No thanks.
Initially, the guy at King Bolt seemed stumped. In a strange way, I almost felt like I had «won», since I had heard so many stories of these guys solving everything. But he handed me off to another guy, who scoured the the entire store for a good ten minutes (an eternity if you’re just standing at a counter waiting) before coming back with his solution. It wasn’t the same nut, but instead a cone-​shaped nylon washer-​thing along with a standard flange nut to achieve the same effect. Total cost: 51 cents. More importantly: the thing works, and the clamp is as secure as ever. In fact, I’d say it’s even better than the OEM solution, as the the nylon washer allows me to torque the hell out of it without fear of stripping the threads as with the original piece.
Seriously: if you’ve had a random mystery bolt/​nut that you’ve been having a hell of a time trying to replace, pay these guys a visit. You may have to wait a good 10 – 15 minutes (take a number, stand around), but it’s worth it.

Wordy customer service ever, would not exchange item after they gave me the wrong one, plus they charge you 3.00 extra if you use your credit card. Go to ACE, Home Depot or Nichols before going here.

Will get you what you need/​want, they know what they’re talking about, and they’ll do it efficiently.
I wish I had one out my way… I’ll make trips to Covina to get some things at King Bolt and will find other things to do on the way.

I just found these guys, & HOLY COW!!! Super knowledgeable and expert advice. They helped me find exactly what I needed. Honestly the wheel studs I needed were not an easy find. I went to 6 different shops before I found these guys, and for them it was just take a few measurements and bam exactly what I needed for $ 20. Cant beat that! I didnt catch the guys name, but he is an older biker looking guy, knows his SH.

I’m a DIYer — home, cars, RV– almost all trades, and this shop is «old school» great. When busy, customers take numbers and are then waited on while employees fill their orders. Their selection, variety and quality of fasteners and related hardware are very good. I’ve never been able to stump them. They stock almost as much stuff as I did when I worked in Air Force aircraft supply. Cash gets a discount over credit cards, which is ok with me.

I went there on 4÷28÷2015 to purchase T bolts. I asked if takes debit cards but he said he would have to take down my info and make the transaction «across the street» today is now 4÷30÷2015 and my credit union called me and asked if i attempted to make s purchase in North Carolina for an amount of 409.32! Just a coincidence?! Hell no! This guy at King bolt is a criminal!!!

I went there to buy some chrome nuts & Bolts for my bike and all I bought was four hex head bolts with four flat washers, four hole caps, and four egg corn hex design bolts with washers & nuts, very small pieces, the only large bolts were the ones that hold a motorcycle windshield to the mounting brackets, the rest were very small, they were all chrome, as far as the very small nuts and washers I told the guy only stainless please as they were hidden underneath a fender, and he gave me chrome, all these little pieces easily fit in the palm of my hand, and he charged me $ 39.00 for this! These guys are really high priced! Buyer beware! Shop around, and I was recommended to these guys by my Yamaha Parts guy, some friend huh? Oh, they do accept credit cards, yet they charge you three dollars to use it… Bring cash!

So I purchased this new motorcycle that needed a few things changed. I bought used blinker side mirrors that saved me $ 300 a piece. One of the mirrors was missing one of the bolts that attaches to the bike. I went to the dealer and was advised that the bolt in question comes with the complete mirror for the price of $ 300 dollars! Fuk that, I had an almost new mirror that was just missing a bolt. I researched King Bolt Co on Unilocal,it was 4 blocks away from Berts. I showed the guy behind the counter and without any measuring the kid goes to the back comes back with 1 bolt and a connector for the other end. It fit perfectly and cost me $ 1.85. These guys are Fkn awesome!

I needed a bolt for my Subaru. The dealership price was around $ 7. For $ 5 I bought two of them and some butt-​end electrical connectors at King Bolt. The customer service was great. I love stores like this and I love this store in particular.

This place will have whatever bolt you’re looking for, don’t waste your time going anywhere else! The prices are so cheap that I don’t know how they stay in business.

I have been going to King Bolt since I was a kid and my dad needed specialty hardware. I’ve always been able to walk away with a solution, even if I wasn’t able to duplicate the hardware that I was trying to replace. Keep an open mind, people.
My most recent visit was to try to get the rest of the screws I needed for my Pottery Barn crib from Craigslist. I found the rep who helped me, I believe his name is Aaron, to be patient and dedicated to getting me what I needed for my project .
Think ahead and bring cash — they accept credit cards, but the $ 3.00 add-​on is definitely a convenience charge.

Man. i’ve heard of this place for years but never got a chance to go here.
I came in looking for a solution after finding out that getting a heli-​coil wasn’t worth it to do when fixing the front wheel on my bike.
They have THOUSANDS of bolts, seriously. check out the pictures.
These guys took the time to help me find a possible solution to my issue, even though it may have seemed silly to other people I ran into before stopping by king bolt.
My solution went from something that could have cost me $ 70+ to a simpler, easier solution due to the keen eye of the gentleman who helped me. (i forgot his name but he had kind of an AFRO?)
Anyways I was very pleased with the service and though this place is quite far from my home I will definitely be returning when I need something else.

I get «screwed» here every time, then I «bolt».
