He started draining my Mom’s because we changed plans on him so he went off… we will never call here again he ripped us off and broke our equipment! Never go here!

My husband been going to Johnny Pool Supply for over 15yrs faithfully. After reading the reviews I was very skeptical about going. But I took that chance, I was greeted by AL the owner, I had many questions about my pool, I was waiting to see if I was going to be treated bad like the other reviewers said, AL didn’t treat me like dang she has a lot of questions, or me being a lady that don’t know anything about pools. I will definitely be back.

Requested a service call for my pool vac. I paid the service and they didn’t do a thing.
Went to the store and asked how to treat yellow algae. The owner said he’d never heard of it yet, the product bottle said «yellow algae». Rude and condescending, how do they stay in business?

I’m writing a review on behalf of my mother. The manager, Al, of Johnny’s Pool Service was rude and insulting. In addition, the prices they charge for repair service is ridiculous. $ 95 in labor alone for 15 minutes of work to replace a gasket on the pool pump? Al berated my mother on the phone for her questioning their labor charge; attempted to justify their pricing for the «complexity» of the job (um complex = takes more than 15 minutes to do); and further attempted justification for the labor charge based upon the assumption that my parents are swimming in money instead of the water in their pool. «What does your husband do?! Does he make good money?!»
Rude, condescending service is never affordable. My mother ended her service agreement with Johnny’s on the spot.

Bad service and even worse customer service. Don’t waste your time and money. They talk to you like you’re doing them a favor and have no regard for what you have to say. Worst experience ever.

Best service! Everyone is so helpful and friendly. Prices are reasonable. Love the flag assortment as well!

I guess it depends on who waits on you, half the time they are helpful, but one of the big guys is very condesending, If you dont know about pools, they make you feel like an ass.
I think I will stick to leslies, very good custmer service all the time.

Great service and prices. Equipment was replaced quickly and on time at my home as well as my elderly parents.
They always have the parts I need in stock.

I see that a comment was made by Alan at johnnys pools. If you read my comment and then his, his comment doesn’t make sense because I am referring as poor customer service I had recieved at said location. I don’t get why you are say that I was angry and with hate on the comment that I left. Then you said I left and angry message o Leslie’s pools which I did not. You also are referring about a part that I purchased and I supposedly brought back to you and saying something about my pool going sideways. I don’t know what you are talking about and I know it can’t be me because the part I purchased were filters. So I’m not sure why you would post that last paragraph. Shame on you for posting that.

This service is terrible. I agree w Nancy. They don’t keep their schedule, you have to make sure they service the pool every week. Poor communication. They dropped me because I called them out on not showing up or calling me back. The pool guy also took my pool broom!

Terrible customer service. They never keep their appointments, never finish the job. My spa has been sitting in pieces for three months as they took it apart and never returned to put it back together! Every time I call them they say, ok he’ll be there tomorrow… And then nothing! Finally gave up and called someone else who showed up the next day and finished the job they started.

I was a little hesitant after reading the comments on here but seeing how I kept hearing this place is cheaper than Leslie’s pools I decided to go in anyway. As soon as I walked in people behind the counter said hi and when I needed help I asked one of the guys and they were quick to help. The first guy was a latino, was honest about being new there and was still getting to know the product so he brought a more experienced guy. I told the guy I just moved into a new place never owned a pool and he, I can’t remember his name young white guy with a hat on, was super helpful. He gave me the rundown of how to clean a pool what chemicals I needed and how to clean the filter etc etc. After a quick trip to Leslies to compare prices right off the bat you see the huge price difference. I was very pleased with the service, great attitudes, cool people, and great prices I can’t remember the guys name sorry dude I’m bad with names but anyway 5 stars on my book definitely be heading back for more pool supplies.

They don’t even deserve one star! My husband went in to inquire about some items and ask them some questions. They were condescending and rude to him. I had also called to find out if they carried a product we were looking for and was given the quick answer of no and that was it! Couldn’t ask anything else since they hung up! Look elsewhere for supplies!!!

walk in and walk around for 15 min. No one bother to ask you need help. Now I know what other saying. No service at all.

Get all my chemicals here, best prices in town period! Any work I need done on my pool, they do, best prices, friendly staff and they always load my car for me

Warning do not use them. they steal from your property. They intentionally damage your pool equipment to sale you the repair service. Very dishonest guys. No insurance no workers comp. Owners beware. They ruined all my equipment, broke my pool car, sent illegals to clean my pool. Bad service. No tax id when giving him a receipt. Required by IRS if paying someone more than 700 in a year.

Awful service. My husband hired them. The guys doing the actual cleaning were okay – some were very nice but half of the time my pool was green. My pool filter was either left in the wrong «mode» by them so it wasn’t filtering or it kept «breaking» and required fixing. They just stopped coming – no notice, nothing – and this was after several years. Good riddance – gives me a chance to hire someone reputable.

Cannot recommend these guys enough. Don’t waist your time at big box, big price stores. The guys over at Johnny’s treat you like a friend not a customer. Called frantically about my pump that wasn’t working, a calm voice told me to disconnect 6 bolts and 3 wires and bring it in to save a service call. Walked it in and 13 minutes later, 3 guys had rebuilt my pump before closing. Came back plugged it in and all is well. Thanks boys!

I have been going to Johnny’s for a Little over 3 years for supplies but recently my pool heater took a dive. I didn’t know what was wrong with it and the parts are super expensive and I started to shop around and I was getting ridiculous quotes. I went to Johnny’s and spoke with JJ to schedule an appointment to fix the pool heater. Big Mike totally hooked me up with a fair price a great service. I highly recommend Johnny’s for supplies and repairs. Kudos to JJ and big Mike.

They have a huge variety of supplies as well as parts, including those for our Pentair Shark!

This company services my pool for 10+ years. I don’t have to worry about a thing, my pool is always sparkling clean. They clean the filter, vacuum and bring a supply of chemicals, I don’t have to go out of my way to buy them or pick them up, they deliver.

Had a very similar experience with Johnny’s Pools where they came out to fix a water hose (it broke a week later) and they said they would come out again but we were going to be charged. I reported them to the better business bureau. Oh did I mention how rude they are and when you call to complain they act like its your problem and somehow they are doing you a favor…
I am very happy that we now have Unilocal so companies like this one can’t steal from people and stay in business because now they will be held accountable.

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST ATTITUDE, SERVICE AND EXPERIENCE EVER!
When we first bought our house 11 years ago, we went to Johnny’s because we needed servicing for our pool. The OWNER was putting us down FOR HAVING A POOL! Called us yuppies and said most people had pools for show (I am not kidding We should have turned away then but we were new to the area). So for $ 75 they were suppose to come out and service our pool and filter, but when they got there they tried to get away with telling me how to do it myself. It wasn’t until I refused to pay them did they do what they were suppose to. They brushed the pool in 5 minutes and poured an entire bag if D.E. into the filter (10 times more than necessary)! It that time I didn’t know much about cleaning and servicing but I know now. To say that they were crooks would be putting it nicely. We later had gone back because we needed a part for the filter that was hard to find, and they wanted $ 30 dollars for a $ 5 part, USED! In the owners infinite STUPIDITY he mentions Leslie’s pool service (the competition) and how we shouldn’t go there, SO WE DID! We found far superior service, prices and attitude at Leslie’s. DO-NOT-GO-TO-JOHNNY’S!

Do not schedule appointment for them to do service to your pool or your spa because they do not show up. when you call them they act like they can hear you and they hang up on you. I don’t recommend this place for anyone not even my enemy.

I go there because they have Great Prices on chemicals for your pool and they are always willing to help. They are definitely cheaper than Leslie and even Walmart, plus they have plenty of workers to help and give you good advice. I have tried many pool places and so far this is the Best!

I have been in there many times and have had a good experience each time. They have a great supply of chemicals, pool toys and parts, and I have never been pressured to purchase anything. Unlike some other larger chain pool stores. They have always given me the advice I needed and spent their time trying to get my pool straightened out for me.
It always seems as though they have a bunch of pumps, or motors or whatever that they are always working on, so they must be doing something right.
The old guy, I thought his name was Johnny, but I guess his name is Al (according to his business card) may be a bit grumpy sometimes, but he knows seems to know what he is talking about when you ask him about something.
I think they do service and repairs as well as having a store. I would rather do business with a place like this, then trying to get some guy on a cell phone. I like being able to go into a store and talk with someone if I have a problem with my pool.
I will definitely go back
