More than hundred thanks to Chris and his team members.
We decided to change the stair railing in the middle of remodeling phrase. And, after Chris find out that whole remodeling crews team were waiting for the stair railing done, he squeezed our job into his already tight schedule.
We really love the good quality wood and iron material they used for our stair railings. They are very sturdy and elegant.
Also, thanks to Rod for doing such good job on the sand and stain part for our stair railings.
Overall, we got more than what we paid for. Strongly recommend CSS to everyone we know!

His craftsmanship is first rate and couldn’t be more pleased with the quality and look of the stairs now. His crew stained the wood parts of the railing to match the wood floor in the house. I was asking around other contractors about redoing my stair railings. going nowhere because most of them only do the basics, some of them don’t even show up to the appointment.
came across finding CSS on Unilocal.Decided to give it a try. Chris answer the phone. and I set up an appointment with him. I wasn’t expecting anything more than usual because all the other contractors turned down my request to do a modern looking stair railings. Surprisingly, Chris can do it all! I spoke to him about the kind of style that I wanted. He suggested many details to me, helping me understand what is good and what is not. Showing up to appointment as promised, followed up as promised. You just can’t ask for more!

Needed my stairs replaced and worked with Chris & CSS stairs. Extremely happy with the outcome and service. Chris worked around my schedule to get the job done asap. I had other contractors lined up to work on other parts of the house and needed this job to be finished quickly. He completed as promised and the results were exceptional! I went on Unilocal to find this review as my family was looking to have Crown Moldings done in my 4,343 Square Foot home.
The job took 3 days to do as we did the entire home. The painting took 3 days as well.
These guys were 1000% professional and are legitimate. We are so damn happy with the job that I’m raving about it to everyone I know.
The painters took very special care of not just the moldings but of my wall. I never asked them to repaint my room but they did because the paint we received didn’t match anymore if they just painted right below the moldings. That had to do with the quality of the paint. So we bought new paint and they re-​did the entire room.
These guys are not satisfied with the work until you are. I highly recommend them for moldings.

I just had crown molding and baseboard put in my bedroom by CSS Finish & Stairs. After working with them, specifically Chris, I really wanted to give this business a shout-​out. My husband and I decided to add crown molding and baseboard to our bedroom because our bedroom needed a makeover and we wanted everything to look exceptional. We are very busy people so we went onto
, which is where we found CSS. We called spoke to Chris, who responded quickly to our request for service. He came to our house with examples of different moldings the next day. He was very professional, taking measurements and asking questions. He was very easy-​going and patient. He worked with us by giving us ideas of what would look good. He communicated back and forth with us via phone and email until we settled on the molding and the price. He gave us a very reasonable quote, so we went with him. He worked quickly, had everything done in one day, left everything in pristine condition. He also recommended an excellent painter who painted our room after the molding was installed. My new bedroom looks so elegant. I absolutely LOVE my new bedroom, it was exactly what I was looking for. We were so happy with Chris’s service and the quality of work he provided.
We plan to call Chris again for additional woodwork in our home. I really enjoyed working with him. He also will be installing a new door for us in the near future. I’m so glad we found this contractor. I highly recommend him!

I just finished my staircase with Chris with CSS Finish & Stairs. I’m assuming that CSS is Chris’ initials, since his last name starts with a «S.» Anyways, I’m surprised that he hasn’t been Unilocaled, yet. He has a ton of 5 star reviews on Service Magic– which is where I found him.
Let’s get down to the business end of this Unilocal review. I got a new crib, needed to update the place. I searched high and low for a good staircase contractor. I got about 8 – 9 estimates. Most staircase contractors are corporate– meaning the guy who gives the estimate does NOT do the work. I found only two businesses that were small where the guy giving you the estimate are the people who do the work. Chris is guy who gives you the estimate, the guy who consults with you regarding your ideas, the guy cutting wood, the guy using the nail gun, and the guy collecting payment. Basically, he is the guy, who also is the guy, who also is the guy, who also… you get the idea. His work is impeccable. I have no complaints in regards to his workmanship. He shows up to work on time and he is very patient with my VERY picky wife. I would estimate that his prices are below the average licensed finish and staircase estimate that I received.
I thought Chris’ attitude was professional, friendly, and basically outstanding. My wife showed Chris a magazine photo of what she wanted on her droid phone. Chris uploaded it onto his droid phone. And he delivered that photo into our foyer. Amazing work. Reasonable cost. And most importantly– awesome customer service. I’d use him again in an instant.
