I purchased my first bike here. It is R6 2014. However, after i checked with the price on other stores, i found the price is much more higher than what it is sold in Bertz. Im not saying i am angry on it or blaiming Bertz. But for the whole negotiation process, they tried every way to draw any penny as much as they could from u.

I love the parts section. the manager always! Takes care of any issues. and goes above and beyond to make u happy…
And im from san diego. i come here often. that says something.

Iv been shopping for a boat for a while now. Went to Berts to check out a 2016 Yamaha 242 limited s e-​series. I knew a lot about the boat, but wanted to see it in person. These guys put a lot of pressure on you to fill out a credit app, a lot of pressure to buy. Here, all they care about is the sale. They will bullshit you, string you along, all for the sale. They ask for ur ID to make a copy of it for paperwork, then come back without the ID and tell you that the finance guys have it. Basically holding it so you can’t leave. A lot of back and forth, a lot of bull shit reasons to justify their ridiculous prices. This boat Msrp is 66k. Plus they charge another 3600 on top of that, which they call «acutual dealer markup» or A.D.M. Plus tax and Lics etc etc, this 66k turns out to be 76k. So I tell them to please give me back my license, which I had to say repeatedly and I left.
I search around online, find out that temecula Motorsports has the same exact boat listed for 63k. 3k under the Msrp. So I give them a call and tell them straight up, if u can do 66k out the door with a boat cover, I’ll buy it. Guess what. He says ok, you got a deal, I’ll email it to you in writing, no surprises, no hidden fees, no bs. Super cool guy, only problem is that it’s in temecula, an hours drive from me and Berts is only 20min from me.
So I call Berts, talk to Marco, tell him I have a deal in writing. If you can beat it, you have my business. He says he’ll talk to management blah blah, calls me back and says, there’s no way we can go that low, we’re losing money on this. Suuureeee you are. So he says best he can do is match the deal.
He also tells me that customers that brings in vehicles for service, if u didn’t buy it at Berts, they stick you in the back end and take their time like your not important. Tries to tell me if I buy it at Berts, they will treat me better and get things done quicker. Pretty much a bunch of bullshit but I couldn’t understand why he would make Berts customer service reputation look like shit. Better believe I’m not going there for service.
But anyhow. I thought about it. And I said ok let’s do it, at least I don’t have to drive all the way out to temecula. I was kinda still upset with Berts because they basically tried to push me to buy the same boat for 10k more. But now that I had a deal somewhere else they wanted to play ball.
I decide to finance. Yamaha was offering an extended 4 year warranty if I financed. So I let them know, going to be financing. Marco tells me more bullshit about how he has to use rebates and blah blah to get the boat down to this price so if I wanted the extended warranty it would cost me $ 500. That was it for me, I was over these people trying to milk me. I said forget it, drove out to temecula this morning, and bought my boat for 66k out the door, with a 800 boat cover for free, and my extended 4 year factory warranty.
Go to temecula Motorsports, Berts doesn’t give a shit about customer service, they will bullshit you to make a sale. Rape you if you let them. Guys at temecula Motorsports are straight up, don’t bs you or string you along. If they can do the deal, they can, if they cAnt, they’ll let u know with respect. Well worth the drive.

What a piece work these people are. I called and asked for bike accessories for the brand Rizoma. Operator then transferred to bike accessories. Asked accessories department if they carry Rizoma brand parts, then she tells me that I’m going to transfer you to parts. Then parts tells me transferring you to accessories. WTF to the max!!!

This place is huge. Just got a Triumph Cruiser. I am wow!!! With the service I received. Need help? Look for Larry Garcia.

So after I posted this review the salesperson finally emailed me with pricing for the Sea-​Doo I wanted and was able to beat the best price quote I had received from other dealerships. I ended up purchasing from Bert’s. Everyone was really helpful and courteous in person, from Adam in sales to Max in financing and all the other guys in between. The purchase experience was great (5 stars). I do hope they will be more willing to offer price quotes to prospective customers through email in the future since they do in fact have great prices and lot’s of people prefer email. I’ll update Bert’s to 4 stars.

Great place. They have all the parts I need in stock 90% of the time. Great service. People are cheerful and helpful. Most of the employees ride and so they have great advice for new riders.
But be aware they are kind of expensive. There are cheaper places to go. I bought my bike there, price tag said 6.5k and they added 2 grand for. Shop services? I’m assuming it was the pre-​purchase shop check. But even so, I’ve never had any problems with the bike because of it so.
Here’s the reason I keep going back though. Even though they’re HUGE. They recognize me when I go in. THEY RECOGNIZE ME! Great place.

We traveled to Berts from DTLA and met the most incredible folks when we arrived. From Keanu to Max, JR, Pierre & David we could not say enough about how helpful everyone was. We will surely return for a follow up toy purchase! I love my new Kymco Compagno 110i!!!
We did our advanced research and negotiated an amazing price on the bike I wanted!

I have watched the Berts dynasty evolve for many years and a few locations. Their Mega Mall location here in Azusa is state of the art. It’s a a far cry from the old trailer they worked out of, back in the old days of air-​cooled motorcycles.
Unfortunately they couldn’t give me the deal I was looking for on my current KTM race bike. However I still purchase parts and do service with them. Their quality and reputation set the standard. They most always have parts in stock and/​or get them guickly.
All of their staff are courteous and knowledgeable on the bikes/​boats/​UTVs that they sell. The parts dudes and cashiers are always helpful. It’s a great place to shop or even just look around .
So if your in the market and shopping for a vehicle and are on the fence about visiting them, DO IT ! They’re competitive and deserve a shot at your business. Don’t forget your checkbook ! Spending money here is worth it …

With 3 little boys… There is already pressure to invest in one of these better yet make it 3 … Luckily the guys here are so cool and patient

My husband really loved going to this store until we actually tried to buy something. We were buying TWO bikes. Yes our first offer was super extremely lowball. But that is just how I personally feel out how much we should be looking at. But because our offer was so lowball the salesman wouldn’t even give us a number to work with… say for instance «that’s not realistic, maybe this number is more realistic». We asked for a number they are comfortable with and they wouldn’t even give us a hint.
We went to Malcolm Motor Sports later that afternoon and BOUGHT two motorcycles probably at the price that Bert wanted to begin with. We started out the same way with a low ball number and the salesman kindly let us know that was not realistic and what is more realistic is another number and we went from there.
My brother and a few of his friends need bikes as well. I’m telling them to specifically not go to Berts.
My husband loves getting toys. Yes Berts has a lot of selection, but they just lost a ton of future sales.
By the way, I bought two cars using the same negotiating strategies. So don’t tell me that’s not how dealers negotiate.

I usually take my business to the Dainese store or Bombay motor sports in the valley considering I live in Pasadena that goes to show how much I avoid berts. Fast forward to today I had some extra cash burning in my pocket and decided that a pair of Sidi Mag 1’s would fill my needs, I recently picked up a new RS Taichi suit and have been looking at boots. Any who rather than drive to Bombay motor sports I decided to give berts another try (my friends who love berts convinced me) so I find the Mag 1’s and try them on. I loved the boots and asked if they priced matched the gentleman who helped me was very nice but I was still asked if there was a shipping fee on that website which is weird because I’ve never had that take into consideration.
I said yes but that it was the same as taxes so it wouldn’t make a difference, this was a legitimate website not eBay or Amazon. I was told the pricing I wanted was too low for them and unfortunately there was nothing he could do, the salesman was very nice but I was disappointed that I wasted my time when I clearly asked if they priced match and provided the website before driving to berts. The amount of time I wasted could’ve been used to go down to another store. If you guys can’t price match a pair of boots how am I suppose to trust you guys for my next purchase? (Ducati 1299 or possibly one of those 2014 S1000RR’s you have on the show room) thanks again for reminding me why I stay away from you guys despite spending a ton of money a year on gear :)

TL;DR — Got a good deal (had to hustle for it), service is pretty standard for a dealership, and Gary is an absolute sack of shit.
Bought my 2016 Honda CB300 °F here last Saturday.
After filling out an online application to finance the bike, I received a call next-​day from J.R. who let me know that I was approved. I headed over met with him and talked over the details of the loan. The interest rate wasn’t what I was hoping for, so I let him know that I was going to check with some other banks and credit unions. He let me know that he would head to the back and call to see if Honda Financial could offer me anything better. Comes back out now even 30 seconds later to let me know they cannot, so I told him I’ll let him know if I want to move forward with the bike.
J.R. goes back to grab my paperwork to take home, and comes back with his manager Maxx, who lets me know that they can offer me a much better interest rate (half of the original quote). Any dealership will try and hustle you, so this was not a big surprise. I decided to play hardball and told them that I still wanted to explore my options but would come back later to look further into purchasing the bike. Maxx then offers me a free helmet with the purchase of the bike. Again I told him that I wanted to look into other options, and this time I actually leave.
I go grab a bite to eat and wait for them to call me trying to reel me back. 15 minutes later I get a call from J.R. to check in with me to see if there was anything they could do to give me the deal that I wanted. I gave him some pretty unrealistic demands and he let me know that they couldn’t meet them but then offered a $ 300 credit towards some gear at their store.
I head back to the dealership and we get started on the paperwork. After a couple documents, J.R. and Maxx hand me over to Gary to go over all the loan information and sign the papers. Gary starts his spiel on buying the 5 year warranty on the bike (a total ripoff — bike parts are cheap and nothing on a brand new bike is going to fail within 5 years). I respectfully decline.
Gary insists that the warranty is important, and spends another minute or two throwing b.s. figures at me for what not having the warranty could cost me. Again, I decline.
Gary then insists for a third time. I decline.
Gary then tells me I am making the wrong decision. I’m starting to lose my patience and decline again.
He then tells me that I would be a fool not to get the warranty. I decline again.
Finally, he starts to move forward with the rest of the paperwork, but two minutes later he brings the warranty back up, telling me that my decision to turn down the warranty is a terrible idea, and even goes so far as to tell me that my selections for my insurance are «asinine». I am dumbfounded by his lack of respect for me as a customer.
I nearly got up and walked out on the sale right then and there, but I was set on getting the bike and didn’t want to wait another week for another day off to buy it. I bit my tongue and told him through clenched teeth that I would not be buying the warranty and that I am a licensed insurance agent, so I do not need his advice on insurance.
We spend another few minutes finishing signing the papers, and then finally I am done having to deal with this bottom-​feeder sack of shit slimeball. Gary is truly a sorry example of human life. If it weren’t for the deal I got and the decent customer service from J.R. and Maxx, this would be a 1 star review.
I hope that Bert’s someday recognizes Gary’s potential for losing customers and makes the genius decision to let him go.

Biggest bunch of scam artist liars I have ever encountered. They tell you anything you want to hear until it comes time to put pen to paper, then the story changes. I have visited 4x trying to buy a bike. Only one salesperson was honest. All the managers are untruthful.
I have a 710 Fico score, but somehow that equates to a 16% interest rate, but I went to a much smaller dealership and got a 4% interest rate.
I asked for the final price to include a helmet=No.
Again, the smaller dealership not only beat Berts price, it included the helmet
I will never be back to this place

Been coming to Bertz for over 2years now. Bought our first razor 1000 back in 2014, and left last night with our turbo 2 seater. Huge thank you to Kennedy (sales manager) who always gives us amazing prices, Andrew for always taking good care of us and Gary for finishing up our paper work, Such a awesome team! We can’t forget about Will who always pimps out our razor with the latest gadgets, or Mario who works in parts !!! Again thank you so much Bertz for always making our visits so pleasant

This place is HUGE! I mean like football stadium huge. The salespeople are very knowledgeable and professional, really try to make it a pleasant experience. Although when you are going to drop 20K for a new sand toy, you can expect some haggling and tense moments. Lots of sofas scattered around for the hurry up and wait times. They have a full service coffee bar, with baristas, and big screen TV’s in the café area. Restrooms are modern and very clean, which is appreciated when you are a woman in somewhat of a mans territory.
Excellent customer service, and they even called us the next day to make sure we got our new toy home ok.

Don’t understand most of the 1 – 3 star reviews. I applied for a bike online. I was contacted by JR «internet sales» the next day around 10.
He found a few banks willing to take my loan, one being Kawasaki then the other Yamaha «which is what I wanted».
I arrived at 6:15ish. Talked business for about. An hour or so? Came to an agreement, signed the docs. Came back today finish the final paperwork and left in less than an hour.
My bike was still in the crate yesterday night. So they obviously had to do their checks before it would be sold. Ended up riding off the lot on a brand new 2016 R6 in a pornographic matte grey.
I didn’t feel pressured or forced to do anything I didn’t want to do. I knew what I wanted and stood behind everything I said. JR didn’t feel pushy as he knew the bike wasn’t something I «needed», but more or less «wanted».
They do offer 10% off for military, which came in handy. Being as it was time to retire my old lid of 5 years. Berts has definitely earned a lifetime customer.
