As a parent, I appreciate the time he took to further enlighten me on the game and other systems that I was considering for purchase. He understands what customer service means! I came to check this place out after I had read about them on Unilocal.I came in about two months ago with my dog (a small poodle), and out of courtesy I decided to carry my dog instead of letting her walk around. From past experiences, most collectible shops are okay with dogs if they are carried, or will kindly let you know that dogs are not allowed, but whoever was there day was extremely rude about my dog and said something along the lines of «hey, if your dog takes a s**t, are you gonna clean it up?». So I left and never went back.

This place sucks, bought a ps3 from here and it lasted for 6 months the first time, then died 6 months later.
Then when I went to go take it back they told me that they don’t fix ps3’s anymore

I’ve been buying a lot of Retro Games and Gaming Consoles. 1up is THE place to get them around town. Always great service and they have vast knowledge about old games, as well as great prices. I’d rather go here then to Frank n Sons to be honest.

This place just brings back so many memories from my childhood. My friend and I just walked in not expecting much but their game and console collection is incredible! There is so much to see and most of their inventory are priced fairly. They even have great deals on their newer inventory. My friend ended up impulse buying an new 3DS and a DS mario game. The employee even threw in a charger for free. The employee was super chill and nice. Definitely a gem in Downtown Covina.

Was in town on business and thought I’d stop by and check this establishment out. Large store with a huge selection of retro and mordern games. All games are fairly priced and there are a few good deals throughout the store. Only reason this place did not get 5 stars is their inventory is so disorganized. Nothing is in alphabetical order. Games for a certain system can be located in multiple areas in the store. The employees nor the owner know if they have a a certain game in stock. They tell you if you didn’t see it out there they probably don’t have it. Besides that great shop in a great location with large inventory.

This place is there for you when you don’t wanna shop online for retro gaming or get your console up and running again, and since 2013, I’m a regular!

Lots of games for pretty much any system at a reasonable price and I mean any system! There is a library of selections for everyone to pick from and pay a small price it is a great deal.

Best spot to pick up games for ANY system! Staff is really great and super chill. The games are in great condition and are really low-​priced. I would recommend this amazing store to anyone who has a history with video games. Another thing they do is repair old and new game consoles.

This place is heaven looked forever for n 64 games and they have them all! For every system you can’t find anymore, it’s probably here.

Just went in to this place hoping to trade in some 360 games. I stood around for 5 or 10 minutes while i could hear staff in the back of the store i got ignored the whole time. Waste of time. Apparently the guy sitting at his computer who noticed me is too cool for business today. Nice choice considering there was nobody else in your fcking store. Lame — not going back.
To the guy below who says «you cant expect good customer service at a video game store» i beg to differ. I guarantee the owner of this place is not happy to learn that his employees arent doing their jobs and in any market the customers satisfaction is always a priority. Its pretty simple: do your job, please the customer, stay in business. Because i can just as easily go on ebay and buy what i want without the hassle of dbag employees who are too cool and elitist for business today.

Nice place to look for games, I usually look for pokemon games for ds. They also carry plenty of other consoles to look for. They also had lots of used ds and 3ds to sell. I also got some extra stylus for free. Kinda disorganized since their pokemon games were in several areas of the store.
I bought pokemon pearl $ 20, soul silver $ 40, and white $ 28. They take card.

To the butt hurt people writing about customer service. Just a reminder that this is a damn video game store. If you think someone will walk up to you and follow you while you look at their millions of games then you are wrong.
I came in yesterday and went straight to the Super Nintendo games. There was two guys working and one did acknowledge me but he left me to myself in looking for what I wanted. When the time came to help me out Angel was there to grab what I need. He was super friendly and gave me prices on items that did not have prices on them quickly and efficiently. When I was ready to pay he made sure my Super Nintendo cartridges were clean. I could see him cleaning them all with cleaner. I ended up purchasing 7 games and a price of 53 dollars you cannot go wrong.
Their game system and selection here is second to none. Some popular Super Nintendo games are not in stock but is expected. They have all types of game s and systems at their store like, game boy, Saturn, jaguar, dream cast… You name it they have it for any system.
I recommend this place to anyone who loves old school video games and new school games also. I don’t know and can’t comment on their repairs, which this store does, but if I as going to repair something as far as my system this is the place I would take it.
