I purchased a groupon for a pedi/​shellac mani. They were very friendly and attentive. I don’t remember the name of the tech who did my nails but she was very nice and did an awesome job on both my mani and pedi. The best part is while your nails are drying they give you a neck/​shoulder massage! I will definitely be going back even though it’s a little bit of a drive for me.

I came here using a groupon and thought I would give this place a try. Did not enjoy my experience, I felt rushed from the moment I stepped in the door. The pedicure was nice… ok but I have had better. The guy didnt let me soak at all and just rushed on to the next thing that he was doing. He went on to tell me that I cut my nails too short and mentioned it three times, again I told him that, that is the way my nails are, they don’t grow very long. The manicure… apparently includes a shoulder/​back rub… did not know this… felt a bit uncomfortable for me as my hands were drying and the guy was behind me trying to give me a massage at the same time? not very relaxing. Was strange after they finish the polish, they do the wax and do not let the wax sit on your hands! again they rush and have you rinse it off. Like for me I like to feel relaxed when I go to the salon. They rushed me to pick out my color, and bottom line yes you get more for your money sure they do add on lots of things that other places probably don’t give you for the price but, it is not a relaxing atmosphere and my manicurist was super annoying.

Our experience with the nail technicians was really good. I liked the way he cut my nails and toe nails as well as the 6:00 minute message.
Afterwards is when it went down hill.
We were approached on our way out by the owner/​manager and asked loudly if we left a tip.
Very rude.
A tip should not be demanded or expected.
We gave tips to our nail tech, which he was unaware.

One of the best «nail» experiences I have ever had! Great CLEAN friendly place! I was very nervous to try a new nail place, stressed all the way there. Needless to say I left knowing I have a NEW comfortable place to go. The services I received (pedicure and «fill») were worth every dollar I paid! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I came here because I had a gift card and I had a great experience so I expected to be back again. Every year I take myself for a pedi for my birthday and this year was no different. My usual pedicure places was closed, so I decided to try them out again and I was disappointed.
When I first arrived the place was steady, everyone was working on a client but I was told to pick a color and have a seat in one of the pedi chairs. I was planning on going out later that night so I decided to pay extra for a french. I was really looking forward to a nice relaxing pedi…
As soon as I sat down people began to come in and there was soon a line. I think the woman who was doing my nails became flustered and started to rush my pedicure. My massage was maybe three minutes long, I only soaked my feet for 2 minutes TOPS, and my french was crooked and not what i was expecting.
By the time I was finished and began drying I had only been there for 15 minutes. I was not relaxed and I felt like I was unable to relax because the woman doing my pedicure just wanted to finish me to move on to other customers. I regret spending the extra money on a french because it was NOT worth it.
It was at the point where people who were getting their pedis done when I arrived were still being worked on when I left. I will give them the benefit of the doubt because it was busy but I have been in similar situations and the business asks the people that are coming in to come at a later time so they do not have to cut their customers short.

It is great here. They spend a lot of time with you and I feel pampered!
We got the green tea pedicure and it was super relaxing and included a 10 minute chair massage.

My mother in law took me here and said Erica and Ella are her two favorites. Erica ended up doing my gel Mani.
Erica is super sweet, I had a nice conversation with her, got to know where in China she’s from etc. Really nice woman, and her work is great. As my nails were drying in the led light, she gaave me a really amazing neck and shoulder massage. After I washed my hands, she dipped them in wax and gave me another massage!
The prices are reasonable, especially with the massage & wax included! My gel Mani was $ 30 and my mother in laws gel polish and nail trimming was $ 23.
The salon in itself is very very clean. Its a big sized room, spacious where you’re not crammed next to someone. Theres plenty of pedicure spa chairs, and there’s a decent amount of employees so the shuffle is good when it gets busy.
They also have a cash back option, if you pay for your service in cash, you get a discount!
I will definitely come back, I’m from California and I come back every few months so I’ve found my Rhode island nail spot! :)

Nice clean place. Erica gave me a manicure and did a great job, I was not expecting massages or the wax dip but probably the best experience I’ve ever had getting a manicure. I will definitely be coming here again. Four stars because she didn’t go all the way down to the cuticle so it already looks like I need a fill, but that’s pretty much happened every place I’ve ever gone.

Love this place. Clean, everyone is so friendly. It’s like a New York City nail salon. They offer so much more than other salons. You can get so much done for the same price you pay for nothing!

I’ve gotten an manicure and pedicure here twice. There are a few pros and cons giving it just an average rating. Let’s start with the pros. It’s convenient for me, 8 minutes away from my house and the hours of operation work for my schedule. The staff is friendly, always asking if everything’s ok example water temp, massage pressure etc. in addition if you bring in a sample or picture of what you want for a design they’ll attempt to do it. Cons a basic pedicure is $ 35 this is the common price at any salon I’ve ever been to. However Royal Nails barely scrubs the bottom of your feet. I left with rough feet after paying for a pedicure. And I get one every 2 weeks my feet are always soft after one. Not here however (bummer). In addition to the «barely scrubbing» when I walked into the salon Sunday it stunk! I dont know what it was but it smelt really bad. When I got home the smell lingered on my attire. My fiancé asked what the smell was! Gross!

I waked right in. No appointment. Sat right down for a pedi. The plastic bags didn’t bother me. My tech was awesome. I got the $ 45 pedi plus 10 mins of reflexology. Awesome. PLUS hot stones? Just because? I’ll take it! And parafin? Sold. AND A MASSAGE? Places in Boston don’t do these kinds of free services. I have to beg for it. This place is clean, friendly. I’ll be back!

Its really sad that this place is getting 5 stars for all the extra services they offer, when the services are being executed so poorly.
Went in for pedi & gel mani. A lady told me pick a color & have a seat, then turned back around to her client. Problem was that they only had regular polish on display. The tray of gel colors was hidden behind a desk, so I sat & waited to be addressed again. 10 mins later, a guy told me to sit in the pedi chair, so I asked if I could see the gel colors before picking my toe color but he said «later, just have seat». I sat in the pedi chair which wasnt even set up yet & older lady came over to start the water & line the tub — yes, with a protective plastic liner, seems like a very hygienic place… just wait.
She started the pedi then looked around confused & asked «what color» … Well idk, I wanted to see the gel options first so that I could match my toe color accordingly, but no one would help me with that :-/​
She brought over the tray of gel colors (finally!!!) & I picked a hot pink but also was very intrigued by a sparkly foil design I saw, so I asked if I could get that done on ring fingers. She was confused again & called the guy back over, he said it would be $ 10 extra. Fine. Now I’m sitting there with wet feet, having to try & direct the lady to grab a toe color that looks like it matches my long awaited gel color. She finally gets the «3 rows up, 7 bottles to the left» instruction & brings over a similar pink to finish off my pedi.
Ugh, the mani. Same older lady sits me down & starts to drill the crap out of my currently black nails. Just when I couldnt take anymore burning from all the friction, she actually spoke to my ring finger (in Korean), laughed to herself & began plucking away at my rhinestones with her bare fingernails…
Like, thats probably the only 1 thing u should have drilled lady.
Finally, my fingers were wrapped in the acetone & aluminum & she directed me to an actual massage chair, which most salons dont have. I declined but she explained that it was included, so I walked over & requested «no arms» as I showed her a rather large bruise on my upper arm from recently having a birth control implant put in.
She sat me face down in the chair with my legs bent & freshly painted toes pointing toward the floor.
THEN she actually clipped my hair up with a clip that was literally just clinging onto the handle of the chair, like a community clip, probably used on previous clients without any form of sterilization in between.
The whole show with the tub lining & tool sterilization crap is pretty much voided out when you go & use the same hair clip on multiple clients. smh
I sat there cringing & trying not to let my toes smudge on the floor as she rubbed my whole body
(neck, back, shoulders, arms & even my thighs/​hips)
she knocked off my gold hoop earrings & dug her fingertips into the giant bruise that I had just asked her not to touch. I pulled away, said I was done & began to pick up (with aluminum fingertips) my earrings from the floor, which she didnt even seem to notice.
She sat me at the manicure table but a different tech came to take over & I couldn’t believe what she did when she pulled the aluminum off: more drilling! This time she went right onto the skin & even split it open raw right before spraying me with alcohol. She acknowledged my color choice then rambled to another tech who told me that the foil design wouldn’t last long so I should try sparkles instead. No thanks. The other guy said it would be no problem but now you’re trying to talk me out of spending the extra money on it. Fine. I told them just the pink is fine, not realizing that after all the damn drilling, she would still leave specs of the black behind, showing thru the pink.
Horrible business decision to tell a customer not to bother spending money on a service & really bad customer service when the 4 different techs who spoke to me couldnt even communicate with each other properly.
The free massage & paraffin were pretty useless as they were not enjoyable & not even useful. A paraffin mask (like a facial mask) should be allowed to settle on your skin for at least 10 mins, not the few seconds she left it while we walked back to the table. If you’re just interested in these free extras, then try Happy Nails in North Providence & let them do it the right way, with younger men massaging your neck & shoulders (only) while the paraffin works its magic…
instead of getting rubbed up & down by older ladies who dont exhibit enough english proficiency or even common sense to NOT touch certain areas.

Each time I come here is a great experience with each person! Clean and well worth the money!

Based on all the good reviews I thought I would have had a better experience. I has called the day before and made an appointment. Upon arriving a girl helped me and started on my fill. I’ve been getting nails done for over 10 years and it was obvious she didn’t really know what she was doing with acrylics. Then I got handed off to a guy. Who rough and seemed aggravated the my hand and thumb would not bend in the unnatural way he wanted it to. I asked for my nails to be cut «alittle» And he made them stubs. He also didn’t ask what shape I wanted I assumed he would file them back square considering that’s what I cams in there with. But nope I ended up with squoval. And I thought a massage was supposed to be relaxing… it practically ripped my shoulders off.

Went Saturday around 11am, no appt but I did call 20 min ahead to save a spot. Had a spa pedi $ 45, it was the best I ever had! Hot stones, leg massage, heel treatment, heaven! I liked that they were very clean, used liners to line the tub, opened packages right in front of me, wiped down chairs after use. A+ for cleanliness
At the last minute, decided to have a mini mani $ 15 and then had a complimentary 10 min neck /​back massage while they dried. Loved it! New favorite spot well worth the money

I needed to have a polish change done as I was attending a wedding last night. I just came in from out of town the day before so I was a bit worried that I would not be able to find a nail salon that would be able to take me on a Saturday afternoon at 1:30pm without an appointment.
Royal Nails Spa had me pleasantly surprised. Erica was VERY patient as I had originally indicated that I wanted a fill but due to being pressed for time changed my mind to a polish change. Not only did she provide quality service, but she was friendly and helpful the entire time; Erica helped me pick out a polish to match the color of a photo I had brought in of my shoes for the wedding and chatted with me throughout my time there. It wasn’t like other salons where the nail technician seems to be talking to everyone but you or even worse, not speaking at all.
Although it was my first visit, I felt very comfortable at the salon. It was very clear to me that all of the staff has established great relationships with their clientele as they refer to their clients by first name and seem to know what’s going on in their lives.
All in all, I had an awesome experience. I know I was only there briefly but if you are ever in the area looking for quality service in an extremely relaxing atmosphere I strongly recommend that you come here. Thank you for all of your help Erica!
