Nate the Great’s Kidz Kutz

I trekked down from Pawtucket today because of the good reviews. The facilities were nice, but we waited for 20 minutes before the stylist informed us that he couldn’t deal with my daughter’s curly tangles. He proceeded to suggest (in front of a room full of others) that I brush her hair, as if I hadn’t ever thought to tame her hair on my own. This is probably a fine place for kids with easy hair, but if your child has curls, go elsewhere.

I don’t really write reviews usually, but this place is such a hidden gem, I wish some one had told me about it sooner. Nate the Great’s is fantastic. My 18 month old has a ton of hair that grows really fast and he hates sitting still for anything. I brought him to Snip-​its for the first few haircuts and it’s always been a challenge. This last time, I tried Nate’s on a whim while driving by. It’s beautiful inside. There’s a large play area with toys and books, but we hardly waited at all. There’s a really nice video monitor at the chair that kept my toddler entertained for much longer than any of his other haircuts. Nate was awesome. He gave my toddler the best (and also fastest, which is so helpful for us!) haircut he’s had yet and he was really patient and nice. I was so impressed and am very relieved that I have some place where I feel much more comfortable taking my squirmy, fussy toddler for haircuts! Thank you so much!

Only giving 4 stars because we don’t know what it’s like with people waiting. Fantastic service. First time going and only people there at the time they were opening their door. Daughter has sensory needs but did amazingly well here. It was not loud or a disorganized mess. We usually go to KAC however, with their price hike and no longer offering their cut card, we have found alternatives. My Daughter’s haircut was the best she’s had in a while! Nate was, in fact, great!

Nate the Great’s is awesome! I’ve tried a number of kids haircut places and this is by far the best! I am very picky about my son’s haircuts and Nate always does a fantastic job. I’ve never been unhappy with the results! They have an awesome play area for siblings, and the prices are great too!
