Coventry Credit Union

Had some fraudulent charges last week on my debit card. I contacted them and they said to see if it would be refunded. It hasn’t. I went to the West Warwick location, which is slightly larger than an outhouse, and told a teller. She told me to call the company. I did, and they said to dispute the charges so I could get my money back. I call the number on the back of my card, and the woman at the debit card help line can’t help me. She said to file a dispute claim at the bank! Why don’t tellers know about this? Their hours are the worst in the area, 3 locations are open on Saturday! 3! They’ve messed up my checking account several times this year, once taking 2 weeks to take out money they shouldn’t have in the first place. Which caused me to be overdrawn, which caused me to be charged yet another fee. As I told them on the phone, they make Bank of America look good.

I really like this Credit Union. I have been to 3 of their branches and am met with the same level of friendly customer service. It just doesn’t have the same feel as the big banks that are run more like you are there to keep them in buisness.
We refinanced our home and opened an account in the last few months. Every teller and mgmt staff that we have worked with has gone out of their way to find answers and make us feel like we belong.
We also have a safe deposit box at one of the locations. To enter the safe one of the tellers needs to get up and leave her station to grant us entry. I have never expereinced rolled eyes or other indications we are getting in the way of their job.
I really like this Credit Union and have not had a bad experience with them so far!
