I was in town from LA visiting my family when I discovered I had a tear in my John Varvatos pea coat! Since my mom had left for Colorado the day before, I had nobody convenient to mend my jacket.
My fiancé checked the yellow pages and found Sue’s. We called her up. Though it was slightly difficult to understand her English, she said to come in and show her the coat.
We drove over with jacket in hand. Sue asked if we could give her a little while, and we said we’d be back in two hours. Two and a half hours later my fiancé stopped in to pick up the coat. It was beautifully mended — Sue had to go through the lining in order to fix the coat — and she charged us only $ 10.
She does nice work, and it’s affordable — I would recommend Sue for any alterations. Her working atmosphere is laid-​back, but the price and good work overshadows that.
