The lady that answers the phone and I talked over the course of 2 – 3 wks about a specific truck. If you call you will talk with her. When you call in you will see the conversations are very quick and almost feels like you are putting her out to ask about a truck. I decided I would drive up to buy the truck we had discussed if the truck was in good order. Things that were CLEARLY discussed– I was driving 3 hrs, looking for a daily driver truck, don’t want a work truck, paint is in good order, specifically asked, «are there allot of scratches that I can’t see in the pictures,» asked about 2 spots on the paint, mechanically everything was in good order. Concerns before I left: I was getting quick answers, along way to drive, they were only going to replace a few of the spark plugs(I told them they all need to be replaced for me to be interested). I told her I don’t want to get there and find out the pictures don’t show what the truck really was. This lot looks like they sell alot of work trucks, quick fix to sell it and not worry about the maintenance you would get from a big dealer. Wouldn’t give me a Carfax(i had to get it from a dealer friend of mine) I think I really wanted this to work out. I was told– had an idol problem(which was the spark plugs and is a common problem with those motors) They had all the problems fixed and emailed me that it was fixed(it was in writing). No Mechanical issues. Assured me, «this is really a nice truck, you will really like it. This truck blue books at 17−18k(full retail price)(even emailed me how she came to that number). AFTERTHE3HRDRIVE: test drive– I no longer got half way up the on ramp to the highway(20 seconds from the lot) and told myself I am not buying this truck. Clearly was a work truck. PAINT– I could have over looked a couple scratches, scratched all over, door had paint like it had been hitting a wall. The passenger mirror was shattered, didn’t even take the time to change the $ 10 rusty wiper blades. MECHANICAL– motor seemed to run good, Truck shimmied,(tie rods or rack.) Windshield had chips in it, Hole on part or the trim. Steering wheel was the most deteriorated wheel I have ever seen. Truck was clearly not in good shape. It clearly was NOT a daily driver! In fair condition at best, this truck would not book at 17k. If I got there and I just saw something I just didn’t like and didn’t buy the truck that is on me. The fact is the facts were not stated correctly. The question is if the questions I asked directly were not answered correctly, what was not fixed(or messed with) to make the truck work correctly. Don’t waste your time with this dealer. Oh, no apology when I explained all this to her before I left the lot…
