Heritage Buffet

The staff here are very friendly and welcoming. The food choices for a Monday night weren’t appealing, especially for the price. I wasn’t too impressed. Chocolate cake was tasty tho.

We went to the Heritage Buffet with my in-​laws after my husband received free passes. I would have been really disappointed if we had paid for the buffet (it is around $ 26 a person for dinner). The service was very friendly. We were promptly greeted and our drink order was taken. Our server quickly cleared the plates and refill our beverages. The selection is pretty impressive. During our visit they were offering their Shrimp-​a-​palooza, which includes several seafood offerings in addition to shrimp. They also have many standard offerings, such as steak, pork, traditional sides, and a salad bar.
I stuck mostly to the seafood on my trips and tried the stuffed crab shells, shrimp fettuccine alfredo, shrimp cocktail, the salad bar, and hushpuppies. From the dessert bar, I tried the crème brûlée and the strawberries dipped in the chocolate fountain. I didn’t try the crab legs, but they looked pretty good and many people seemed to be enjoying them. Of the food I tried, a few items weren’t very good (the hushpuppies and a specialty shrimp cocktail), and most of the rest was average (the caesar salad and the chocolate fountain) with a few items that were pretty good (the shrimp fettuccine and the crème brûlée). The food was alright, but I didn’t feel that it was worth the price.
I can generally eat just about anything, but ended up with bad indigestion after dinner. There are some people who would really enjoy this buffet. I don’t tend to eat enough at buffets for the quantity «all-​you-​can-​eat» factor to do me much good, and I didn’t think the quality was good enough to justify a trip back at their regular prices. I will caveat my review by saying that it is possible that the crab legs may make this buffet worth the price (it seemed to for many of the other diners).

I really liked this buffet… Granted it was on the expensive side, but all buffets are for dinner, especially when it’s Saturday and prime rib night… they had a good selection of stations, and the prime rib was very tender, and better than I thought it would be.,.I even liked the mashed potatoes and I tend to be a snob about mashed taters… the service was excellent and far better than I’ve experienced at previous buffets… the server’s name was Memo so if you get him you’ll be glad… certain dishes I wasn’t a huge fan of but there wasn’t anything I truly hated… I would very much look forward to coming back here…

The dining room is vast, covering 3 areas of dining that are somewhat divided. There is a wait staff member assigned to your table, and I found ours to be great, very attentive and friendly. Soft drinks and tea/​coffee are included in your meal, but you’ll have to fork up for alcoholic beverage. The highlights of the buffet include the crab legs (we recently ate 7 plates each), prime rib, and the chocolate fountain.
This past trip had a Phở bar, which we tried but found the the broth to be a little off.
Otherwise there were the usual generic buffet foods which looked ok but it would be hard to eat $ 26 worth in my opinion.
Good for that crab craving!

This is probably the fattiest place I’ve ever eaten at in Omaha. I come here prepared; wearing sweats, knowing that I’d feel extra voluptuous by the end of the night. The food used to be great but today, the the dishes didn’t look as fresh. Even the steak tasted old and most of the strawberries were bruised. However, I really like their chocolate fountain. It gives the place a bit of elegance.
Most people come on Friday nights for the crab leg special. The crab legs are often fresh. If you have a hard time cracking them open, look for an older adult a few tables from you and watch what they do.
Service is isn’t too bad. Granted, it’s a buffet and the servers just need to pick up your plates for you. Expect to smell smoke odor since this place is in the vicinity of a casino.

At first glance, the buffet looks impressive. But upon sampling a selection of their offerings, I was not pleased. It’s quite pricey, too…
The brisket was too marbled with fat, and it took my server 10 minutes to bring me a steak knife… The mashed potatoes were good but the gravy was too salty. The acorn squash was delicious. The Asian dish I had was not quite on point.
The dessert selection is sprawling, and the chocolate fountain is sure to wow kids.
I’d rather try Bourbon in Ameristar next time before I’d head back to Heritage.
