What sets Advanced Air apart from other flight schools is the fact that we are an FAA approved 141 school which can save you time and money working on your ratings, it looks good on a resume, veterans can use their VA benefits here, we are the perfect flight training airport with 2 runways, close proximity to Class C airspace for practice but it’s nice that we are out of Class C airspace when you are new since it can be a little overwhelming. We have the most affordable charter rates. Our airplanes are meticulously maintained by our mechanics, we are the only charts dealer in the area. Our avionics shop is very knowledgeable. We calibrate tools, do FAA computer testing for knowledge exams. Basically we are a one stop shop for your aviation needs.

History

Established in 1989.

The company started out as Parmley Aviation Services, Inc. with Charles Parmley as the owner. In 1992 Danny Smith became a partner and started a Propeller shop. In 1996 Charles left and Danny took over. In 2001 Lisa LaMantia who had worked her way up became the owner and is still the owner /​President. In 2005 they became a 141 school, 2008 they quit doing propellers and in 2015 they added an Avionics shop. It’s a busy flight school with knowledgeable mechanics and helpful instructors.

Business Owner

Lisa LaMantia started working at the airport in 1994 and worked her way up to eventually become the owner /​president of Advanced Air, Inc. While working at the airport she got her Private Pilot’s license. Together hand and hand the FBO and airport have been able to grow together.
