Xpecting

This store was really fantastic. After giving birth via c-​section to twins, the hospital was out of pumps to rent so they gave me the number to Xpecting. On my very exciting first trip home from the hospital with the boys, I stopped by there to pick up the pump and the staff was very kind, quick, and brought the pump out to my car for me.
Later the pump broke and they were very kind about exchanging it and brought it to you car again since I was trying to figure out how to push a stroller in my sleep deprivation and kept running into their clothing racks and stuff. Must have been a sad and funny sight.
I finally returned the pump after almost four months. I had discovered the first pump didn’t break after all! I just had the attachments wrong. Oh well.
While I was there the first time, I bought little swaddles to cover the boys, since I didn’t realize they were going to be so huge (9lbs 7oz and 9lbs 5oz) and brought the wrong size clothes and they didn’t have any socks. The swaddles were adorable and unique. They really aren’t the best to use before being washed but they got us home and are my favorite out all of my swaddle blankets.
I didn’t buy anything else but they have lots of great unique gifts for an Xpecting mom and their clothes look adorable.

My sister in law and I came from Palm Springs to check out this cute little boutique. I have to say the store has really cute clothes and the staff was very attentive and helpful when it came down to picking the clothes that I would like… now for the disappointing part. I decided on a really cute pair of Paige denim shorts with the stretch side panels (hoping to fit me through the summer months and end of my pregnancy). I couldn’t wait to get home to try them out. The next day I decided to wear them and to my dismay I ended up with burns/​irritation on my thighs from the panels rubbing. The shorts are loose enough so not sure why this happened. Anyway, I called the shop and spoke with Hailey, who was so nice, and she got me in contact with the owner. Long story short, the owner refuses to refund the $ 169 I paid for the shorts but instead offers me a store credit. Here’s the problem, I live two hours away The other major problem I have is that I was never once informed of the return/​exchange policy. I don’t fault you for your store policy but at least give us shoppers full disclosure. I certainly would have thought twice about buying the shorts because I live so far away. So now I have no shorts, and I’m out $ 169! Ouch! Bad business for sure!!! Buyer beware.

Adorable store. Great clothes at boutique prices. Just took their breastfeeding class with Becky, the lactation consultant. It was well worth the $ 50; definitely recommend checking it out. Xpecting turns the cost into store credit, so I will be making my way back to get a nursing bra and will probably find other fun items, too!

I bought 2 tank tops while my husband and I were in OC and didn’t try them on. When I got home I realized they didn’t fit. I called the store and the girl was so nice. I shipped them back and within 3 days I had the right size shipped back to me! Excellent customer service!!! Definitely am going to go back!

This shop carries a great selection of clothing for before, during and after baby. So many great lines of soft tee shirts, casual dresses, cute shorts and denim. Pretty jewelry, great gifts and yes, maternity wear.
They also offer personal shopping help!

I finally made it out to Xpecting today from Long Beach. There is no place like it near me and totally worth the drive! I’m due in less than a month and needed direction on nursing gear. Once I said that, they had me in a room with various bras, tanks, and pajama options. They helped with info on best sellers, comfort, fit, and what you’ll need in the hospital. As a first time mom, it was exactly what I needed and made the process not so overwhelming. I left with a few basics to get me started and will be back depending on how things in the nursing world go for me. Not to mention, I’ll be back for some post baby clothing! So many cute things if I wasn’t in the market for the delivery must-​haves today. We’d love a second location in Long Beach. You would do well in the shore on 2^nd Street! :)

OB suggested I get a belly bandit, called a few stores in the area immediately and came across this cute store! The girl that assisted me during my purchase was very helpful;measured me, demonstrated how to put it on and helped me put the band on. Cant wait to go back when I have more time! Used a discount through Unilocal check-​in-​sweet!

Really helpful without being pushy, very knowledgeable about nursing needs but I didn’t feel like they were trying to over-​sell me. Great little shop!

If your looking for fashionable clothing, maternity or non-​maternity, this is the BEST place around!!! They have done a fabulous job offering casual to dressier, affordable to pricy, maternity to non! I got a gift from a friend that was purchased here and I came in to swap out a couple items for different colors and at checkout I had a balance of $ 2.15 as credit. I asked the gal at the counter to just give me the cash back and after talking to the owner they denied my request. Its a LAW that if a credit is under $ 10 and a customer requests it paid back in cash that you have to give it. I pulled up the law information on my phone and showed the sales clerk but she still refused. It’s $ 2.15, there’s nothing in your store I could even buy with that and it’s against the law not to cash it out. Anywho, the store is cute but I won’t be back to use my $ 2.15

I discovered Xpecting when the hubby and I went to Plum Café for breakfast. After breakfast I went to check out Xpecting and saw that they sell the UPPAbaby Vista here and it turns out they do not charge for sales tax for this item… which is amazing because I’ve had my eyes on it for a couple of months.
This past weekend I went to BuyBuy Baby with a 20% off coupon and unfortuantely it doesnt work on the UPPAbaby Vista… asked if they did price match since we were there and they had the Lindsey color (wheat) in stock. The associate there gave me a hard time… telling me I need paper proof that another store is offering no tax, he acted as If i was lying to him and I was probably never going to buy it anyways… so I told him I rather just go to Xpecting and buy it there. He just lost my business.
I called Xpecting to see if they had the Lindsey color in stock and they did… just one that came in 2 weeks ago. The associate their saved it for me and my husband and I were on our way to get it.
When we got there, the box was waiting for us in the store. I forgot the associate’s name but she was really friendly, asked if I had just called and told us she was expecting us and our UPPAbaby Vista is ready to go. The whole thing was super easy and fast. I ended up buying the drink holder too for $ 24.95 (no tax as well!). Long story short… If you are going to invest in a UPPAbaby… buy it here. They pay for your tax its definately worth the saving.
On another note, the clothes here are SUPER cute… because they are not really maternity clothes… you can probably just wear it even if you are not preggers. Super cute accessories and the associates are so friendly. This is not of a higher end maternity store but you get what you pay for.
My husband put together the UPPAbaby Vista for us to test our last night and it was as amazing as the reviews and the demo videos i’ve been watching. We LOVE everything about it and fairly easy to use even for someone petite like me.

Xpecting is a really great store for expecting women. The associates and the owner are so nice and really helpful. I purchased a lot of maternity clothes and my belly bands from Xpecting. We also purchased our Uppababy Vista and Upppababy G-​Luxe from here. A HUGE plus is that they pay for your sales tax when you purchase an Uppababy or Orbit stroller. When we purchased our Vista, Nancy helped us and she was awesome. She put it all together for us and told us how everything worked. I took my breastfeeding class here and a huge incentive is that it costs $ 50 for the class, but you get $ 50 in store credit after you attend. After I had my LO at Hoagm we rented the Medela Symphony pump from Hoag. I wish we had rented from Xpecting! It’s so much more affordable!

I have purchased my daughters baby gear from Orbit Baby there many times before. They have exceptional customer service and help you find whatever it is you are looking for. Brittany has helped previously before, she ordered my daughter’s toddler car seat and etc. she had excellent people skills, she’s extremely helpful and makes your order much easier. I’m defiantly satisfied and would recommended Brittany to assist you with your purchases. I absolutely love their service.

I went with my daughter to purchase a few maternity outfits and we were very pleased at the selection! They have cute styles for the expecting mom in maternity and non maternity clothing. They have done a good job of incorporating clothing that you can wear throughout the pregnancy as well as after the pregnancy. Stephanie was very helpful and offered many suggestions in a non– pressure atmosphere. We will definitely be returning. :)

I really love this boutique. As a first time prego, everything is new, and it can be overwhelming. Stephani, Cindy and Nancy have each helped me at various times from getting the best pair of jeans ever (J Brand), which I’ve worn at least five times a week since I got them — best investment ever, to dress pants for the office or dresses that make me feel gorgeous and sexy for red carpet events and things like rehearsal dinners. They’ve even shipped me items, complimentary, as they know how crazy a working mom’s schedule can get. I highly recommend Xpecting. Plus, they have a really active presence on Facebook so you can learn about the best and newest products while learning about discounts and when they’re being offered; feel free to ask questions there too, they are super responsive.

Excellent maternity wear and baby gear selection! Most of their clothes are actually not maternity, but they’ve done their homework and those clothes work really well for the growing mama. I’ve been there twice now. I have the cutest maxi skirts, paige maternity jeans, ruched top, maternity dress, and tops. They sell Skinny Tees, which I LOVE! They are long, one size fits all, and look great!
The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They offered my mom, sister, and I water as I tried things on. My mom even bought her own non-​maternity flowy cardigan, she liked mine so much!
Sign up for their email! They offer special sales and classes! I live in norcal, but hope to come down for one of the breast-​feeding classes this summer.

Love this place! Wonderful customer service as they were very friendly and provided their assistance with finding maternity wear for my changing body! I definitely will be coming here for my maternal/​baby needs! Oh and the clothes… very cute, stylish, and comfortable!

Great store with lots of great clothes. The girls that work here are always super nice and are very knowledgeable about pregnancy and what you will need. I bought my maternity jeans here as well as some cute tops. Shopping for jeans when you are not pregnant is hard enough– so shopping for maternity jeans can be a real challenge. But, the jeans I purchased from Xpecting have taken me from 4 months all the way through to 9 months– so they are worth the price!
We also purchased our stroller here because they were so nice and helpful. They carry great stroller brands and they pay the tax for you– so you end up getting a great deal. Plus, they will spend as much time as you need teaching you how to use the stroller.
We made the mistake of shopping first at the OTHER Costa Mesa high-​end baby store on Newport Blvd and were terribly disappointed in the customer service, so we decided to buy our stroller at Xpecting and are so happy we did. I only wish they sold baby furniture as well so we could give them all of our business!
