Super safe during the day. I bring my nephews all the time and let them loose on the play ground. Never experienced any creeps or suspicious activity during the day. However I must say that at night it is very dark and mysterious. A lot of people walk thru the park at night. Anyways it is a fun park during daylight hours. 4stars

It’s a great park, very safe for kids and A lot of room to do anything you want. The playground is great and the basketball is always being played there. The only negative or gripes I have is the sand is bad quality and also the bathrooms are very very dirty! OverAll great park

It’s clean, nice and safe. Is surrounded by homes and apartment’s. Is got a Pretty decent playground. Lots of awesome things to climb, beach volley ball, basketball court, and huge grassy field. Also has canopied picnic benches and tables with charcoal bbqs.

After spending a lot of time in Irvine, I admit I’m a sand snob. The sand here is filthy and if you dig more than two inches you hit rock hard dirt. Not sand castle friendly. The large rocks that surround the tree in the middle have concussion written all over it. Same thing goes for the wood stumps along the exterior. The playground equipment has spots where the paint is gone and only rust remains. I added one star for the grassy area — it’s huge and a great place to let your toddler run around.

It appears that the police have taken care of the issue with the clochards. Drug deals are at an all-time minimum and it’s actually quite an enjoyable park now.

This review is for the children’s park not the basketball court. I brought my son on a playdate on a Friday afternoon. The parking lot was full so I ended parking on the side street. There were a lot of children playing and they have a big grass field where the little ones had a blast running around. Overall the park serves its purpose for my toddler and do recommend for moms and their children.

This hidden neighborhood park is tiny but good to play soccer at. 3 stars because the grass isn’t exactly soccer field quality but if you’re in this area and looking for a peaceful run or walk, this is the park.

If you come here every Saturday around 1230, you’ll find yourself getting acquainted with the local bball players. Teams get stacked and sh! t gets ran. But it’s pretty good that I’ve been going here a while now(and on Tuesdays too!). Nice lil’ kiddie park and you see bicycle riders going round and round… Just don’t expect to go #2 in the bathroom.

Mr. S took me and our friends to Wakeham Park a couple times to play bball. The park is actually very nice with lots of green grass, lots of trees and shade, a nice play area for children and a basketball court. Never really seen this place packed, so it’s a nice place to relax. Just beware of the restrooms, they dont flush.
