What has kept our passion alive are our lovely clients that we have developed wonderful working relationships with. Many of our clients that started out buying a couple of pieces end up designing breathtaking rooms with one of von Hemert’s interior designers.

We stumbled upon Von Hemert and boy are we glad we did! We started out looking for a Taylor King couch and ended up furnishing our entire home. The reason: Mashid! She is an incredible decorator! She has ALL the qualities we were looking for; plus some! Mashid has a decorating instinct that is nothing short of a gift. Equally important, she is quite simply, a wonderful person. My husband and I just loved working with her. If you EVER are looking for a very talented, special decorator go to Von Hemert and work with Mashid. You will not regret it!

While we trusted this place and spent close to 50k they lied and cheated us from service they promised and later never delivered. We found out later how over priced this place is. Absolutely sad this is thier reputation. We’ve learned our lesson never again.

From the moment you step into Von Hemert Interiors, you have just experienced luxury and extravagance. This upscale store offers a wide range of high end furnishings and premium brands. The staff is welcoming, knowledgeable and professional. They have beautiful styles throughout their showrooms and display extensive collections. If you need any design assistance, I found Vonnie to be extremely helpful and provide first class service. It is obvious why Von Hemert Interiors is a classic in southern California. Two of the three stores I visited were very impressive. Without a doubt, this is the BEST place to find a trusted staff to decorate your home.

I had family coming to visit this spring so I decided to redo my guest bedroom. I have driven by von Hemert’s for years and I finally stopped in to see what kind of bedroom furniture they offer. I am so glad that I did! I was happily surprised when I found that they had some really nice styles throughout their showroom. A very sweet lady helped me and she couldn’t have been more helpful. I wasn’t sure of the style I should go with so I sent her some pictures of my room and the dimensions of the room. She quickly drew up a floor plan for me to see how the furniture would fit and presented me with a few Lillian August beds to choose from. The one that I chose I absolutely love and so I ordered it that day. She has followed up with me several times to help me with some other pieces I’m shopping for. I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Vonnie. She has been very professional and is very good at what she does! I was very impressed with von Hemerts as well, their store had an amazing variety of furniture and accessories that would compliment my home perfectly. I can’t wait to shop there again!

This is my first post on Unilocal,I just feel compelled to post this review given the results of the services I experienced with von Hemert Interiors.
One word to describe my feelings about von Hemert Interiors… A M A Z I N G !!
In November of last year, my wife and I had purchased a dining set from the Costa Mesa location. In February, we experienced an unfortunate incident. We just moved into a new home and during our move, the dining table and a sideboard encountered substantial damage. I really felt that this was something that was beyond repair. My wife insisted that I place a call to von Hemert Interiors regarding a replacement order and during the conversation they stated that they could possibly repair the described damages. An appointment was scheduled for them to come out to our new home and assess the damages. To my surprise they indicated that they could in fact restore the furniture. I admit, I really did not think this was possible. However, given the amount of the initial purchase vs. repair fees, this was a very easy decision. 2 weeks later, the project was finished and my wife and I could not be more in shock of the results. We looked long and hard — you would never know that repairs had been made. Simply Amazing!
Somehow, someway… I will find a way to post the BEFORE and AFTER pictures because I am still in shock at how well this restoration project went. Not sure if this is a service that you promote on your website, but I highly recommend this service as you have a team of magicians working for you that make this service invaluable. Thank you so much!

I recently purchased a beautiful Taylor King piece from Mashid at Von Hemert Interiors. Not only is Mashid knowledgeable in her field, she has a creative eye to coordinate the patterned fabric with texture and color so the piece wasn’t overwhelming nor was it understated. The end result was more than I can hope for and with just one look, it’s a stunner. How many adjectives can I describe the well-​crafted furniture? Beautiful and elegant, it encompasses it all. Mashid was so patient with my questions and requests. In the end, it was all worth it. The spectacular craftsmanship and quality. If you want to be informed throughout the process, pick Mashid. She kept me updated through courteous, cordial phone calls. Mashid is truly a warm, kind-​spirited person that one can easily talk to. I have high recommendations for her and would continue to do business with her in the future. (I just wish they would be able to do custom slipcovers!)

This place is OUTSTANDING!!!
Well I was recommended this place by a friend because I was told the Polynesian beach décor I had going on was considered to be dated «around the turn of the century» and it was time to «step up my game». To speak very frankly, I have the same knowledge for interior design as I do for advanced calculus (oh and FYI I need a calculator to do simple arithmetic).
Walking in the store consumed with fear I was quickly approached by a tall gorgeous blonde and immediately my first thought was to bolt for the door and deal with yet another disastrous weekend of Ikea assembly. But she was very approachable so I stayed and we chatted about some new ideas for my living room.
The girls name, I believe, Anita ended up helping me thru this whole process and was very courteous and professional. She made the sales experience totally worth it and I am very happy with how my new stylish living room turned out. Even my mother said «my pad is fresh».
The moral of this story is DEF check this place out they will take care of you!!!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER.
You would never know judging from the sales employees that this was a store that actually intended to sell merchandise.
Despite buying multiple pieces, it took me MONTHS to complete a single transaction. Then I wanted to buy more but oh no that wasn’t going to happen because I’m just a little fry and they are too busy to acknowledge my existence despite multiple trips to my home, multiple voicemails left which they never returned, and multiple in person promises «to get back to me as soon as possible.»
ironically, I switched sales associates because they don’t return calls, don’t do what they promise (follow up), and frankly don’t give a damn if they ever sell anything and even switching associates made NO DIFFERENCE. They are always «busy», «out visiting clients», «on vacation», and «on their days off.» As far as I can tell, the only customers getting any service out of this place are huge buyers doing complete home renovations.
I would never go back.

Again, not only the WORST customer service EVER but now Carrie Von Hemert is flat out lying. In no way, shape or form did I ever intimidate a receptionist. She clearly told my husband AND I that she could not call Kelly out of fear of being fired. I sat calmly in the reception area while my husband was on the phone with AMEX. Why isn’t Sam there anymore? Oh right, axed. Carries’ response is pure fiction. Everything in my review is detailed and 100% accurate. I didn’t ever receive and apology from Von Hemert, I was treated rudely straight to the end. Shame on this business and shame on Carrie placing a false response to my legitimate assessment and review of my experience at her store.
UPDATE: It’s sickening that Carrie Von Hemert continues to lie! I hope no one ever shops there. Hey Carrie, why isn’t Sam employed there anymore? I called Sam? Really? How would I have her phone number? I have my phone records that show differently. Lies. You people are despicable! I’ve lived in Newport 38 years and have never experienced such HORRID and dishonest service. I cannot wait to let everyone I talk to know about this. Next call BBB. DO NOT SHOP HERE! Not only does this place suck, they can’t even own their mistakes and continue to lie about everything! The Von Hemerts are rotten!

I was searching for a quality couch and all my research pointed to two brands. Their websites noted Von Hemert Interiors as dealers. Drove out to Costa Mesa and was met with a lovely saleslady, Sam. She showed my husband and I a number of different couches and explained what made each one comfortable. Sam was so gracious and knowledgeable. The customer service and sheer quantity of furnishing is worth the drive out. I would definitely recommend Von Hemert Interiors to my friends.
