Either the jukebox is being run by the bar itself or someone hit«play next» 20 times. Either way, annoying that I paid for credits and didn’t hear a single song.

We came here on a Sunday because we were over at The Camp and wanted to watch the game and couldn’t find a sports bar. This was just a walk around the corner but it could be called the Anti-Camp. Everyone was watching football having fun. Lots of Packer fans when we were in there. It’s a good, dark dive bar with a decent TV set up and mediocre beer selection. No stuffed zucchini blossoms or blackberry iced teas here — decent place to have a few beers, make some new friends and catch up on the scores if you’re in the area — not sure it’s a destination though but great atmosphere.

I LOVETHISPLACE! I’m here 2 – 3 times a week to play pool. It was my first bar in CA and it still holds my heart in it’s hands. The bartenders and bouncers are all really sweet and awesome and they are always very accommodating with everything. Drinks are always poured extremely strong and the music isn’t half bad(lots of 90s boy bands and hip hop if you’re into that) unless the person who has control of the juke box is a heavy metal freak. DRINKSAREEXTREMELYCHEAP4 rounds of 2 drinks has been at most $ 30. Not bad at all. People can smoke on the porch but it’s a little cramped and I like outside the front door way better. There’s also a taco guy that makes pretty good drunk food(if you don’t want a hot pocket or pizza, yes, the huddle does sell both). Say hi to Crystal for me if you are ever in there. Heck, say hi to me because I’m usually in there. There are about 7 – 8 tables and it’s not cramped at all. If one isn’t open, just go around and ask people. LEARNPOOLMANNERS prior to entering. Do not steal my quarters if I have a full rack on the table with the cues crossed and the quarters filled up. Thanks!

Crazy(crazy good) prices on booze. Tenders are all cool. Owners hotter than hell, but sweeter then add slurpees… about ten pool tables and some other gaming options. Cozy place that girls actually come to… wish I could take this place to every neighborhood I move to from here on. I’ve been here probably 3 – 6 times a week since moving nearby a month ago… sometimes I drink, sometimes I just play. Taco guy mike’s cool AF and serves bomb grub most nights. Sad I gotta relocate already. .will Def pop in when passing through

I’m not a huge bar scene kind of person, but this place is pretty… how should I say this… DOPE. It’s one of those places you can come to on an afternoon where you’re looking for something to do thats chill… that’s inexpensive… that’s local. Other than watching a movie or so and so. It’s kind of in a ghetto area, but the place is well kept. The carpet is clean, the restrooms were clean, the seats, pool tables, and counters were clean and well kept too. Not one of those worn-out dilapidated bars(yes, the word that popped in my head was dilapidated, don’t judge me). Full bar. Cards have to be a minimum of $ 10. They have an ATM and a change machine for quarters. You use quarters for the pool tables, foozeball, darts, pinball, etc. Good selection of games to at least spend an hour here to hang out or sober up after drinking. They also have a jukebox thing that plays music, but I didn’t get to try it out. Yeah, that pretty much covers it. A chill bar with some chill people on a Monday afternoon. Little weird that I saw a 30s-50s crowd though(like, don’t these people go to work?). Oh well. Whatevers. Go have fun.

At first glance this bar seems kind of like a dive, but once you get in, it’s pretty cool. The pool tables are first come, first served, and operate on quarters. If the table is full, you can place a quarter and challenge the winner. It’s sort of intimidating, but the people seem cool. We ended up getting lucky and got a table without having to challenge anybody. Cool place, good music. It’s an experience.

What a great little gem/hole in the wall dive bar. I live this place. The have pool tables, darts, juke box, bar seating, a couple booths, and great drink prices. The mixed drinks are are not weak! Highly impressed with this place. The parking lot is small and the bar is very close to the camp at Costa mesa. My favorite dive bar in Costa Mesa and one of my top favorites in orange county.

Great place to play pool in a casual environment. Super divey but I love it. No snooty attitudes here people just keep to themselves. Seriously I come here with no makeup on in jeans and a t shirt and I I feel right at home.

Stopped by with my sister for a memorial drink for our recently departed family dog. I haven’t lived in OC since the 20th Century, so I had no clue about the bar scene. Suffice it to say, that the Camp(specifically Mesa) where we first attempted to go, is far too«bros and hoes» for my taste. I popped onto my dusty, trusty Unilocal app and found«The Huddle» merely 350 feet away! Once we walked up and saw the strip mall storefront, we knew this was the dive bar we were looking for. When we walked in, The Huddle did not disappoint. This bar is full of community college drop outs and regular schmoes and gals. While there was still an element of Orange County douchbaggery, it was the kind that I could stomach, instead of the stripper heeled, fake boobs and sunglasses at night crowd at the other place. We grabbed a couple seats at the bar and had a couple of fair pours of Jameson and Woodford. I wouldn’t call them generous, but they weren’t measured either. Since there was only one bartender, service was super slow. I can’t blame our bartender too much, since she was the only one working the bar, but I sure wish she would have filled up our drinks without us looking wistfully at her for ten minutes before having to yell out our order at her. There’s lots of pool tables, darts, and pinball. Apparently you can get dinner here, as long as your idea of dinner is Hot Pockets and corn dogs.

The rating I would give this place would be between a three and a 3.5. The bartenders are on point. There quick on serving alcohol most of the time. On one occasion when I went, the bartender was nowhere to be found. I’m assuming they were outback smoking a cigarette but, when I got back, they provided the drinks that I needed. The pool tables are clean, without stains, and in good condition. The game will cost you a dollar in quarters in there to quarter machines within the location. This is a little bit higher than most of the other locations the charge $.75 a game. But, if you’re in the area and you want to play darts or billiards, definitely check this place out

Awesome name, awesome doorman, awesome dive. Walked in here on the 4th of July and someone put ‘Born in the USA’ by the boss on the jukebox. Yes. The bartender was friendly and she set an upbeat atmosphere. To name a few beers: Budweiser, Sculpin IPA(Ballast Point) 805 Blonde(Firestone) NO beers on the pool tables! I hear they have good food. this is a classic dive bar, and I definitely look forward to going back to the huddle!

First off this is a solid dump hole. The bar, ambience, location, dive bar video games and prices are right on. Just what you would expect from a local watering hole. However sh! tty bartending skills/service. It’s a dive bar for god sake, not very hard to tend the bar?! Hey bartender chick you know who you are. How about you try and serve sober patrons trying to get drunk, instead of relying on the«double bra sock stuff trick» to generate tips from the drunks that already have beers. People go to sh! tty dive bars to get hammered not look at your can’t afford a boob job pushed up old ass flapjack turkey tubesock teets. Sheesh! In closing; this place is not bad if can get ol’ double stuff to serve you.

Really like the huddle. It’s never too busy and there’s usually an open pool table. And it’s also walking distance from my place so that makes it that much better. Definitely will continue coming here.

Accidentally stumbled across The Huddle some time ago. Can’t believe it has been down the street from me the whole time. It’s right next to the fancy«fish imported from Japan» sushi restaurant. In the same plaza as the adult store and a ramen restaurant. The bar caters to locals and regulars. Seems like the people who come here come here a lot. I loveeeeed that they had so many pool tables. You don’t have to wait and it’s not so crowded where you can’t play pool cause people are in the way. I sometimes go to bars in Newport Beach to play, but they usually only have one or two tables and then it gets too crowded. This place is great spacious. Everyone is really friendly and you’ll meet some really good pool players. You can also play darts and they have some other random arcade games pinball machine. Very chill laid back kind of hang out.

As far as pool hall go, this place is not very bad. They have quite a few tables and a full bar with a couple beers on tap. Bartenders are very friendly. I would’ve given a four-star except for half the times when I went to the bar, the bartender was out and back smoking and not available which caused me to wait or not get another beverage. The tables are flat and have good rails, lots of house pool cues that are straight and work well. While the tables are little more expensive than a lot of other places, running at a dollar apiece, it’s not too bad

Essentially, your local dive bar without the gross divey patrons. It’s actually pretty hip, but it’s probably due to location. They have got The Camp and Commissary Lounge within walking distance, and now The Barley Forge Brewing Co. It’s the mecca for a pre– and post– party spot for the youngins’ of the night. Youngin’ at heart! The Huddle is probably one of my new favorites that I discovered this year. I was at Commissary and one of the guys in our group was wearing shorts, which barred entrance to the totally wannabe upscale, pretentious lounge. SO we headed next door and it was probably one of the chillest and most fun nights. Not to mention, cheap drinks all around. I enjoyed it so much I even celebrated my birthday here. Casual, fun, stiff drinks and only a $ 1 for the pool tables. I am no master at billiards, but this place has got 6 tables for pool, darts, and a jukebox(not sure if it works properly). We pretty much spent the entire night here with only good vibes.

A friend of mine and I went to Kitsch about a block away. We made a friend who recommended Huddle, because it was close and it’s a good spot to shoot some pool. It must have been fate, because I fell in love with Huddle. Let me start by saying that I was over-dressed for Huddle. This is a jeans and t-shirt style dive bar, and I arrived in my tight red dress and heels. What can I say, I didn’t exactly anticipate going to a dive bar when I first got dressed. With that said, we immediately made lots of friends haha. Idk if it was the dress or just the friendly people Huddle attracts, but I played pool with two or three random groups of people that night. It was a lot of fun. There are so many pool tables here, so you never have to wait long for one to clear. Bring quarters! They have automated tables, and a game costs a whopping buck. With that said, lots of tables are missing a ball or two… But it’s cheap, and it’s a dive bar, so no one’s complaining. Drinks are cheap here, so that’s another plus. The bartenders know what they’re doing, and one of them concocting a delicious drink for me when I asked her to surprise me. She said it was a tequila sunrise with a special twist; yum! Anyways, I ended up getting a tad drunk, and before I knew it, it was 2am… Where did three hours just go!!! I’ll definitely be coming back more appropriately dressed to shoot some pool in the future :)

This is a true dive bar. It’s hidden in a strip mall. You must order beer. Don’t try to be fancy. They have tons of pool tables and when I was here, they were having a tournament on some of the tables. I suspect this place to be crowded all the time regardless. We did get in some games of darts with a couple older gentlemen who were quite nice. Service at the bar was a bit slow.
