These guys are legit! GREAT VALUE for a superior product. Winco and Llumar products. Only place that warranties the work, replaces if an accident occurs, and purchase the fix-​it-​ticket warranty. But on top of the product all the guys that work on the cars are so dang friendly. This crew gets along so well. David the owner will take great care of you. Tesla owners, they have all the secrets to make the perfect install on our cars.

I brought them my 2016 Lexus the beginning of April. The front passenger window had a tiny foreign object between glass and tint. I wanted to change the tint from Llumar CTX30 to CTX15 (darker) on front windows and they did both windows for free.
I also had the windshield done with the Llumar 80 windshield film. Claims it doesn’t interfere with auto wipers, auto headlights or auto high beams. I’ll find out tonight, but I’m sure they’re correct.
They’re very professional and competitive pricing. They also offer the insurance for a VERY reasonable fee, which covers removing the tint and reinstalling if you get a ticket from the police.
They use a CAD machine for cutting the windows, sunroofs and windshield films to exact size. There is no discernable gap between film and glass when you roll the window partially down. Most companies leave you with 1/​8″ or more gap between the edge of glass and the tint — NOT Signature!

My girlfriend referred me here for quite sometime since she got her Audi done there. Her boyfriend and his buddies, who are all car fanatics, got their tint done here as well.
With that said, I’ve done some tint shopping and would say I am happy that I chose Signature Tint for my Chevy Volt.
I got a quote over the phone from this sweet lady named, Beth, Let me tell you I’ve been calling here and there in the span of 4 months (I was still shopping around). She gave me the deets (you have to ask all the questions such as film, warranty, etc) and made an appointment right away! I got my car tinted Feb 2016.
Process took about 2 – 3 hours including letting the tint settle in. The owner, David, was the one who took care of us when we arrived. He’s super helpful and taught us how to care for the tint. He instructed us to keep our windows closed for 2 whole days (48 hrs). And preferrably let my tint bake under direct sun.
Upon retrieving my car, there were a lot of bubbles — big and small ones. I was patient and waited a good week to allow my tint to bake. In 2 days 85% of the bubbles melted and disappeared, yet a few are still visible. By the end of the week I would say 95% of the bubbles completely melted and adjusted to my windows. There are a few extremely small bubbles here and there (the size of the tip of your pencil), but that doesn’t bother me.
I got the 20% Llumar tint. 30% is considered limo or blackout, but since I have a white car I don’t want too much of a heavy contrast between the tint and the car color. I am super happy by the results of my 20% tint level. Its dark enough to see a figure in the car, but you can’t identify the person’s face clearly.
Give it two weeks from the initial tint and your baby will look sexy! Yep, a sexy nerdy car for me ;)

This place is awesome! Beautiful job on my new car, friendly girl at the front, nice waiting area, and finished pretty quickly. I’d definitely recommend this place. And their warranty is what sold me even more. Ticketed for too dark of tint? They’ll remove and replace it for free! Oh yaaasss

I didn’t actually tint my car here but I very very closely did. My only problem was the location wasn’t convenient for me BUT just by interacting with them, you can tell, they care about you and they’re very honest. The prices are great (though found one that was slightly cheaper) and the people really took their time to email me with a proper response. Most places gives you an estimate on the cheapest tint they have and try to upsell you when you come in. This is not that kind of place, they were very upfront about what they offer and what they do that makes them special (they use fancy machine to cut the film as opposed to handcut). They provide a better warranty than others and seem to go out of their way to ensure you’re happy. My co-​worker has gone here and he’s SUPER happy with his tints. Although I wasn’t a customer, I still actually recommend this place to others just because of the way they interacted.
To summarize:

Okay I haven’t even gone in yet to get my Audi A6 tinted and decided to write a review based on my email conversation with David Reed the owner of Signature Glass Tinting after a friend recommended me to their shop. Here’s a play by play:

— 7:40AM on a Sunday I get a quote from David specifically addressing my request for details on ceramics and front windshield

So… because it was kinda dark when I got my car back, the next day I saw that some of the tint did not line up correctly on my back windows and there was lint in between the tint of the front and back windows… I’m going to bring it back to get it re-​done on Saturday. Hopefully it will be better.

Looked around for a good place to get my truck tinted, asked some friends on Facebook and one of them recommended Signature Glass Tinting in Costa Mesa. Looked them up on Unilocal and saw awesome reviews so I gave them a call and got a quote over the phone in less the 2 minutes. Got an appointment for the next day, sweet!
Got to my appointment 15 minutes early and we got straight to doing paperwork. I had some homework to finish up, and they asked if I needed the wifi password, thought that was pretty cool! Couple comfortable couches with a big size tv in the waiting area.
The lady was super friendly with helping me pick out which tint I should get, I went with 15% all over. Looks great! Can’t wait to see it when it’s completely dry.
Now this is the BEST part about this place. They offer a lifetime warranty, AND a no cost no fault guarantee. If you happen to accidentally scratch, or damage the tint in anyway they’ll replace it for FREE!

Also, I paid an extra $ 25 for protection in case I happen to get pulled over and get a ticket for it being too dark. All you have to do Is come in and they will take the tint off and replace it with whatever tint you would like to go with.

I definitely recommend this place.
Very professional and polite, from phone conversation to front desk interaction. They explain the tint percentage and provides the necessary information for their customers to make the right choice for their car.
It’s been over a year since I got my ceramic tints installed and it still looks great. There is no bubbling or distortion. If you like your car (you obviously do since you’re reading reviews before you get things done on her) then this place will not disappoint. Keep up the good work.

We were quite pleased with the expertise, service and professionalism we received from Signature Glass for tinting our home windows recently. The assistance they provided for the right balance of UV protection, light reflection and temperature management was helpful and has made an impressive difference in the many rooms they treated.
As we found them through Unilocal reviews ourselves, we also wanted to acknowledge the work Joe, Pete and Hugo provided. A special shout out to Pete who did the majority of the window treatment; he and Hugo did an exceptional job in cutting and fitting the films, while Joe was awesome in the selection process and overall management! All were friendly, trustworthy and reliable, worth considering for any residential projects.

I made an appointment a couple days ago to get my truck tinted. When i came in they where ready for me. I didn’t have to wait or anything. Received great customer service and awesome recommendations on what shade to choose. Ive used the shop in the past for my other vehicles but it seems like every year they get just a bit more professional. I met the owner and he seemed like a real cool laid back dude that knew entirely way too much about tint and how things should be. I respect that allot. I would say if your in a rush like most of us are to get their cars tinted please do yourself a favor and make an appointment. You’ll be glad you did. I know i am. I’ve been searching for a new tint place since I moved to Irvine and this place is now my goto tint shop. The sales person is great and knows her tint well without any pushy upselling tactics. I went with the ceramic tint for both my GS350 and Rav4 EV. This place provides your typical warning about tinting the front 2 windows but also has an awesome guarantee for any nicks or scratches from flying seat belt buckles. Job was completed in the time promised. Overall I’m happy with the tint job and will definitely recommend others to Signature Glass Tinting.

Tinted my car with 15% Lumar tint.
Issues:
Matrix Dots: No mention or warning that the matrix dots on all four side windows would not stick. If I knew this was the finished result I would have researched and gone somewhere else.
Back window: Just had the tint on my back window replaced because of bubbles in the tint. So far the tint looks okay but a piece of the lower antenna has been ripped off. Also my car is filthy inside. The side doors and seat have water marks all over the side and interior. (See photos)
I chose Signature Tint based on all the great reviews. Their customer service is good but if you’re meticulous about your car then choose another tinting business.

Came in early to my appointment by 30 minutes to fill out any paperwork or forms. Some other guy was dropping his car off 2 hours earlier than his appointment and they took his car in right away. They took my car in 40 minutes late, but they finished within 20 minutes for my rear windshield.
It turned out very nicely done.
The people there are really nice and friendly as well. And they have free wifi if you want to bring your laptop or just browse without using data. I would go back again if I needed any more tinting done.

Had my car tinted here with Llumar ATC in 2009, and had no problems at all over the next 5.5 years through the bitter cold of the Northeast winters to the heat of the desert summers. It held up well.
I replaced that car with another one recently, and returned to Signature after 5 years for another tint. Same owners are still there, new installer. They still install the ATC, but this time I splurged on the Llumar CTX tint because of it’s alleged better heat dissipation. Probably spent more $$ than I should have at this time, but you know… you only live once.
Two key factors in having a successful tint experience are the quality of the tint materials and the competency of the installer. Not all tint is created equal and Installing tint properly is not easy – it takes skill from working on lots of cars over the years. Never have tint installed at the dealer or by any place that does not exclusively install tint. Main Danger of not knowing your materials is that you cannot be assured that it will protect you from harmful UV rays.
Also every car is different. Some cars require more dis-​assembly than others and then there are the efforts to eliminate the dust that can get trapped between the tint and the window. Bring them a very clean car to tint is my advice.
Many people ask me the law on tint in CA. It’s easy. Currently, you can tint the windows in back of the driver’s row and rear window as dark as you like, but if you do – you must have 2 working outside rear view mirrors and the tint cannot be reflectorized or any color other than charcoal. You can never tint or place any laminate on the windshield even if it is clear. On the driver’s and front passenger’s windows you can apply a laminate that blocks UV rays but it must not be less than 70 luminescence. Another words allows at least 70 percent of light through. For these windows Signature sells AIR80 you can ask them about that.
As I drive around Southern California, I see that many people are not in compliance with the tint laws in CA regarding the driver’s window. In fact, I see police cars and private vehicles owned by police officers parked in the station lots are not in compliance. 1000’s of vehicles pass me on the 405 that are not in compliance. After all – the sun shines here most days and in summer months it can be blinding and distracting, not to mention the heat. Because tint quality and clarity has advanced so much in the last 10 years, the applicable CA Statute: VC 26 708 needs further amendment by the legislature to allow tint on the Driver’s window of a maximum 35 Luminescence (a medium tint.) Doing this would make our laws consistent with the law of our neighboring states Arizona and Oregon who have studied the issue and concluded that 35 is appropriate for the Driver’s window. California needs to take a progressive stance and amend the statute so that we can bring tens of thousands of our citizens into compliance.
