Dr Janda specializes in treating pain cause by organ dysfunction, nutrition disorder, toxemia, subclinical infection, and musculoskeletal problems. These include muscle weakness, muscle spasm, joint and spinal pain, athletic injury, nerve pain, headaches, sciatica, subluxation, low back pain and neck pain. These problems may be due to trauma, but often have hidden related problems that predispose injury or prevent healing. When your problem is not resolving with conventional chiropractic or drug therapy, he offers solutions you do not anticipate.

Dr. Robert Janda is in private practice in Costa Mesa, California. He practices holistic therapy including Nutrition, Chiropractic, Active Release Technique, Myofascial Therapy and Applied Kinesiology. His practice is a form of Naturopathic Medicine, but includes conventional chiropractic.

Dr. Robert Janda graduated from UC Berkley with a BA in Experimental Psychology in 1968. The year following graduation he stayed in the San Francisco area to study Gestalt Psychotherapy under the tutelage of Robert K Hall, M.D. The following year he began studies in Clinical Psychology at California State University in Fresno. In 1972 he graduated with a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology with a special interest in hypnosis and Jungian Psychology.
After in interlude, he moved to Los Angeles in 1967 to study acupuncture from Korean and Chinese practitioners
and their American students. During this time he also took courses in Swedish Massage, Shiatsu, Acupressure and Jin Shin Do. He also took a course in Iridology and Nutrition from Bernard Jensen, DC that started his lifelong interest in nutrition, which has continued to the present. In 1977, for 1 year, Dr. Janda worked at Harbor General Hospital Pain Clinic in San Pedro under Dr. Mok, M.D., as an acupuncturist.
