My wife made an appointment for me as a Christmas gift, as I am a do-​it-​myself kind of guy when it comes to my hair and beard. Needless to say, I was skeptical because it was a barber shop/​salon, and I think haircuts are a waste of money. Well, I’ve never had a haircut like the one I received at Razorbacks. The Barber’s name was Mike. Timid kind of guy (a quiet guy myself), but he can cut some serious locks. He offered me a beer when I walked in, which caught me by surprise and was a welcome twist to the usual magazine and plastic chair affair. Speaking of chairs, there is not a lot of seating to be had (unless your already getting sheared) as the shop is located in the back of a clothing store. Odd to be sure, but it only amounted to a bit of a hunt to find the place. Other than that, the experience was unaltered. First thing I did when I sat down was tell Mike how I wanted him to butcher my hair. Being the professional, he suggested otherwise. I figured since he was a bearded man himself, I might take a chance in trusting him, and I did. Man, was I definitely not disappointed. This place holds true to its heritage as a barbershop – hot lather shave around the neckline and ears, eyebrow trim, beard trim, and of course the hair cut, which I can honestly say is the best I’ve ever had. Finish that with some aftershave and a hot towel and you’ve just had a genuine barber experience. I was sure to leave Mike a tip and I’m thinking about bringing HIM a beer on my next visit, because I’ll be back regularly for sure. Did I mention that the pricing is awesome? I used to think $ 20 for a hack job was way too much, because it was. But $ 30 for the above mentioned service is almost too good. Thanks for the experience Mike, and a wife-​approved haircut.
P. S. Make a reservation. They try to accommodate as best as they can, but do you really want the person behind the scissors/​razor to be in a hurry? I don’t.

My bro and I got cuts today by Mike. Shout out to Mike though. He gave us beers, took his time with our heads and he is a friendly & funny dude. Overall the haircuts are 9.9÷10. Would recommend Mike to anyone to get their cuts here with him.

Walked in with no appointment at 10 till 11 on a Thursday and Mike was willing to squeeze me in before his next appointment at 11AM. Very accommodating, although I would recommend an appointment as a courtesy.
Razorbacks offers a great cut for a great price. Mike takes his time, is very professional, pays great attention to detail and offers great conversation (as well as a beer if ya want one).
I would definitely recommend Razorbacks and Mike to anyone looking for a great haircut in a friendly, laid back atmosphere.

Just left my appointment with Mike and couldn’t be happier with the cut. I moved out to California recently and was hesitant to try someone new but it was great. He was able to see me the same day I called, and took my hair from collar length to high and tight with no problem. I’d highly recommend razorbacks and Mike, I’ll be back again soon.

Razorbacks is in the coolest location in the mall. Mike cut my hair and he’s a rad guy! He pays attention to every little detail and makes cutting your hair an experience. I certainly left Razorbacks with a huge boost of confidence.

Mike hooked me up with nice fade and a clean shave. If I lived in SoCal I would go back to him for sure. He truly is a master of his craft, and wants to make his clients look and feel great. Walk ins welcome.

Made a last minute appointment with RJ today. Showed up 5 — 10 minutes late because of traffic and the guy was super cool and very professional. RJ is easily the best barber in Orange County. This is the best haircut I have ever received! Best of all brought my son back in the evening and he dialed him in as well.
If you want a stylish cut with good peeps in a legit environment go to razorbacks. Every barber is great and you can shop well your waiting.

I found Razorbacks via Unilocal after being terribly disappointed by the reviews for another barber shop (I had be recommended to check out) that shall remain nameless.
I am SO glad I did! Razorbacks totally impressed me. From shop cleanliness to the barber’s professionalism… they’re doing it all right.
I made an appointment with RJ for my boyfriend. We parked on the wrong side of the mall & ended up being late to our appointment. He was totally cool when we called to tell him we were running late. As soon as we got there, he got right to work cutting my dude’s hair.
I have to say at first I thought it was a little weird that this shop was inside a clothing store in the mall. After going there, I can’t find a single thing weird about it! The shop is in the back of Stade Co. It’s clean & classy. RJ & the other 2 barbers working that day were super professional, knew what they were doing, and offered great conversation. My man left looking & feeling like a million bucks.
We will definitely be visiting Razorback’s & RJ again. If you are looking for a barber that offers good customer service in a nice shop, look no further!
PS. RJ also does women’s hair!

Just had my hair cut here for the first time, and I will totally be back next time.
Mike was my barber, he was really nice and accomodating — offered me a beer (can of PBR), which I swigged throughout the cut.
I couldn’t articulate what I wanted in much detail, but he totally worked with me to make sure I was pleased all along the way. I could tell he would totally talk shop if I knew haircutting terms and had a better explanation of what I wanted. He seems comfortable doing his thing or making something specific happen. I am very pleased with my new haircut.
When the main cut was done, he cleaned up the edges — straight razor style!
He pumped some foam from a machine into his hand, put a little on my hairline from temples to behind-​the-​ears, and a good amount around the neckline. It was warm, and felt really nice.
Then he was a-​razorin’ away, precision of a fuckin’ surgeon with that thing, no nicks, no ‘oops’; it actually felt relaxing on my neck. When he finished — boom — post-​shave liquid, mild stinging sensation, but he hand-​fanned to sooth with cool airflow then, ‘ahhh…’, hot towel engulfs back of head — that felt really good.
He combed my hair with some product, and I was good to go.
I’ll fer shure be back in three weeks, or so.

I had been meaning to try out Razorbacks for some time now and all I can say is that I am very happy that I did. I have found my new go-​to barber shop! I received an awesome cut by Mike, who is very knowledge and clearly knows his stuff. I had shown Mike a photo of the hairstyle I was going for and he recreated the style PERFECTLY! The dudes awesome!
I would definitely recommend Razorbacks to my buddies and anyone else who is looking for a quality cut for a great price.

I’ll preface my review by saying I always hesitate in giving a 5 star because that takes a lot in my book to give out… However, a 4 is excellent. And this place is excellent.
Hard to find is the number one con b/​c its in the freakin mall inside a freakin store! I stumbled upon it while looking for barbershops down my commute from work to home last Friday and this one came up since my regular barber in downtown santa ana was out on vacation.
So, about the place. It’s a small lil shop in the back of a store. Everyone is friendly. RJ hooked it up with a beer and a cut. He did a great job. 25 bucks for this location (south coast plaza) i thought was very reasonable. Shared a few laughs with the people there and I was on my way ready for the weekend a happy customer. I’ll def. be coming by again when I need a reliable backup and it’s so close to home.

This place is a little bit hard to find because it is actually inside another store, called
or something, but they gave me a really great haircut.
I kept joking that I wasn’t hip enough to be there (I’m a super-​nerdy securities attorney and the stylists were way fashionista) but everyone was super warm and inviting to me.
It has been two weeks or so later and my hair is still fantastic. It isn’t very typical for me to notice how well done my haircut is so this is a big deal.
Also, my stylist was engaged to a porn star. How cool is that! These guys were so cool and I highly recommend them. I’m going to go back for sure.

Awesome place ! It Really is a hidden gem. I was on a layover and desperately needed a haircut and I surprisingly got the best haircut ever. You should go see RJ he will help you look your best. The only bad thing is Now whenever I need a cut I have to fly over for one :).

My wife was shopping and I remembered that there was a barber shop in
. My hair was getting out of control and I didn’t feel like shopping so why not get a haircut haha.
Lucky for me they take walk-​ins. Cuts are $ 25. My barber, Anthony, did a pretty good job with my haircut. I usually get my hair parted to the side and it turned out pretty well.
Also got a beer too. Can’t beat that.
Big plus is they take credit cards. Other barber shops are normally cash only so this was a big win.
I’ll probably be back.

This place is a hidden gem amongst the bourgeois of South Coast Plaza! This place serves dual purpose! Half awesome store, then half awesome/​vintage barbershop! Got my beard oil here! First time customer is $ 30 but it was well spent! Super pleased! Recommend! They also have straight razor shave! Rad!

Pedro has been my barber for years. I followed him from Long Beach to this location. When service is this good you go where the best barbers are.
This location is packed with some of the best shopping/​dining in Orange County so come in and stay a while.
