Oscar Flores Hardwood Floors

Horrible. Unprofessional. Took 5 weeks for an IN STOCK wood. My house was vacant and I had nothing but availability. 5 weeks??? And the constant lies of when the crew and he would show up. Constant. Tons of trash not picked up. Crew were all slobs leaving empty sodas and half eaten lunches in my closets. Disgusting. Floors mediocre. Should have been free after all the lies and filth. And after all said and done, tons off gaps for food and dirt to collect. Don’t go here. You won’t be happy. Period.

Oscar Flores is a crook. He made promises and failed to meet them, he didn’t even make the attempt. Scheduled to meet and was a no show. He took my money and never followed through with the service and work promised. He now has my money and is no where to be found. I wouldn’t recommend him or his business to anyone. He’s a thief. Don’t waste your time.

This is the first Unilocal review I have ever written, but I was so impressed with Oscar Flores and his team that I wanted to share my experience. I’m a Newport Beach real-​estate agent and had a very special property on the market that required over 3,000 sq. ft. of Richard Marshall woods to be refinished. This was an exclusive property over $ 4million plus dollars and the quality and timing was very important for the sale. After 5 bids, we selected Oscar Flores Hardwood Floors. His price was not only the most competitive, but the quality finish was superb and he finished the job right on time without a change order to boot! What made this even more critical was that we went into escrow right in the middle of the wood floors being refinished and had to now satisfy the new Buyer. Oscar even met with the new Buyer twice to answer questions. The high level of customer service and care was outstanding. I have recommended Oscar Flores to all of my clients as well to my office and colleagues at Surterre Properties. I can honestly say you will not be disappointed.

Another update…
After the last no show from Oscar Flores Floors, the Saturday after Thanksgiving, we decided to take the loss and move on.
But much to our surprise, Oscar actually called us on Sunday morning, apologized again and wanted to «make it right» and said he would send a guy over right then.
Hmmmm interesting… do we believe him… we had just decided to move on… we were over it… but we still needed at least two coats of poly to move forward…
Ok, so I rattled off the things we needed, he said «Yes, yes, I’ll send a guy right now.»
On my husband’s instructions, I said «Send him over BUT we will not pay another penny. We have lost too much time and too much money.»
At first he was stunned and started to respectfully resist, but once I reminded him about rescheduling all of the other workers every time his people didn’t show, all of the time in the schedule we lost and that I had taken time off work, he said ok to no more money! We were surprised again. But we weren’t going to believe it until we saw the guy.
Third surprise, his guy actually showed up, worked hard and actually did a pretty good job. We can finally move on to the next phase.
Btw, I told Oscar about this review and it has definitely had an affect on him…
Since then, Oscar and Estella from the office (she’s great) have called to schedule the finally work and they have been trying very hard to honestly make it right.
We really appreciated that he has sincerely apologized and said he shouldn’t have taken on the job when he was so busy. We also appreciate that he is willing to complete the work with no further charge. Bravo.
