Dara DeSoto was my Birth Doula & I highly recommend her! Her knowledge, support, & warmth made me feel empowered & very supported during the months leading up to my twins due date. On the big day she helped create a calm environment & took care of my husband & I (making sure we ate & teaching us some newborn basics). We loved working with her.
Idelis Thordarson was my Postpartum Doula & I also highly recommend her! Being a new mom, especially of twins, was overwhelming & it was wonderful to have her help during the transition of being new parents. She taught us all the basics of newborn care & gave us tricks for soothing & settling our babies. With her help we found a routine & rhythm. Her supportive encouragement, hands on help, along with making sure I was also taking care of myself (taking breaks to nap, eat & stay hydrated), was wonderful!

I had an awesome experience with OC Doula Collective! The response to my initial inquiry was quick and professional and the online appointment scheduling system made it easy to schedule Doula interviews.
I had Jessica Bougie as my Doula and she was an irreplaceable part of my birth experience. She was always available to discuss my questions and concerns during late pregnancy and was very informative during the pre-​birth meetings. When I went into labor unexpectedly with my water spontaneously breaking at 38 weeks she helped me to stay composed. Later, once my contractions got more intense, she provided the calm, reassuring presence I needed to handle the contractions before and after we got to the hospital. She also helped my husband to stay calm and support me. She continued to be supportive and encouraging during the days after our daughter’s birth.
My husband and I agreed after our daughter’s birth that hiring a Doula was the best money we spent in preparing for her arrival. Neither of us knew quite what to expect and having someone there that we had gotten to know and trust over the previous couple of months made a huge difference in our ability to remain calm and relaxed. I would definitely recommend OC Doula Collective!

I am so grateful that OC Doula Collective was part of my pregnancy and birth journey. Jessica Bougie was my doula and she made all the difference in my pregnancy, birth and especially postpartum experience. Not everyone has a flawless birth story and it’s important to have a strong support system in place for any possible bumps in the road. Jessica was exactly that for us; knowledgeable, friendly, always available, easy to talk to and endlessly empathetic. She was right there any time my husband or I had a question, big or small and we used her resources quite a lot. She was more than a competent advocate for our birth plan, she was also a a great listener and friend. We will be going back to her for baby #2.

We had a great experience with the collective. We interviewed with Sherrie and Kyra and decided on Sherrie as our birth doula. Their email response time was quick and scheduling appointments was easy. Sherrie met with us twice before the birth, answering all questions and concerns we had. We also kept in contact through text message and email, which was nice because I knew I could contact her and get a quick reply. My due date fell on a weekend that Sherrie had scheduled a family vacation, she reassured us that if I went into labor in the days she was away, that Kyra would fill in as our backup doula. That scenario did end up happening and Kyra was amazing! I couldn’t imagine our birth without her. She was calm and reassuring throughout my labor which was really comforting. We felt so well taken care of with her at our side. Sherrie and Kyra met with us for a postpartum meeting in our home a couple days after the birth to check-​in on us and go over the birth. I had my placenta encapsulated by Jessica and met with her prior to the birth to go over any questions we had regarding the process. She took care of picking up my placenta from the hospital after the birth and dropped off my ready capsules a few days afterward. She is another wonderful asset to the collective, I loved her warm and friendly nature.

This space works perfectly for leading a workshop. I can say that based on my own experience. I instructed 10 women in the use of the rebozo and we had a sparking clean and well organized space to practice. The rental space was accessible, the parking was ample, the connection to my laptop made sharing videos and photos easy and we had a water cooler and a compact table top for sharing healthy snacks. Thanks to the low slung sofas the women who preferred sitting in a chair rather than on the floor were still very much part of the group dynamic. So pleased that Sherrie Williams helped facilitate this workshop being held there!

I couldn’t imagine my pregnancy, birth experience and postpartum without the collective team. From my first conversation with Jessica and Sherrie I knew they were the right fit for us. They both projected so much warmth and passion for what they do that it made all my fears of the unknown seem to settle.
From day one all the packages and information of services were given in full detail. Jessica performed my placenta services and sherrie was my doula. I am loving my pills and salve. And looking forward to using my tincture. The whole transfer and delivery process was smooth and quick. I didn’t even need to do a thing. Jessica was 100% on top of everything.
Sherrie came to our house a couple of times and helped me form my birth plan and helped answer all my questions regarding birth prep labor delivery and postpartum. I enjoyed every second spent with her. The support during my labor was so nurturing and compasionate. And knowing that she herself was a mommy and had experienced what I was going through gave me such strength and perseverance.
My husband and I are eternally grateful for this team and I will definitely be using their services for our future children :)

The collective was great to work with and made it super easy to schedule interviews and make payments and provided resources whenever needed. My husband and I worked with Kyra as our doula and had a wonderful experience. Things didn’t go anything like our birth preferences because of medical reasons but Kyra helped us be at peace about how things worked out and also helped us feel as prepared as possible before hand. She was beyond willing to do more than expected and learn about our medical condition and arrived as soon as we needed her in the hospital.

I’ve made other plans for my birth, but the two doulas, Kira and Shiree, I consulted with were knowledgeable, passionate and understanding. Thank you!

Chelsea was such a pleasure to work with. She met with me personally to discuss the placenta encapsulation process. She was so knowledgable and provided me with several options. I especially appreciated how quickly I received my pills. I highly recommend Chelsea’s services.

I had such a wonderful experience with OC Doula Collective! They were a referral to me from my natural birthing class instructor and I can see why she recommended them. I had chosen Chelsea to be my doula, but unfortunately she had an emergency very close to my due date which resulted in Karley taking over for her. I had some anxiety about the thought of switching when I knew I’d be delivering so soon but as soon as I met with her I felt so relieved because I knew she was super compatible with me and would be a great doula — and she was! Even after helping another client just hours before I was heading to the hospital, you would never know it because she was such a sweet, calm presence and helped me immensely during my very quick labor. She offered suggestions, squeezed my hips during every single contraction and even had snacks for me afterwards. I was so thrilled to have the natural birth that I wanted and I know she helped me achieve it. Karley and Chelsea both checked in on me during the following weeks and Karley even wrote up my birth plan which was awesome the have. So grateful for these ladies — it makes me want to be a doula!

I had a wonderful experience from beginning to end with Jessica and would totally recommend her to anyone! I had my placenta encapsulated and loved the results with it. She got me my pills very quickly and they really helped with my extreme cramping/​contractions during nursing.

Such a wonderful experience! Jessica was so knowledgeable and passionate, it shinned through in her work. I had my placenta encapsulated and made into a tincture and a salve. At two weeks postpartum, I have used the salve for nipple and diaper irritation and am loving the results! I have also been taking the pills as recommended and am feeling happy, healthy and full of energy! I highly recommend Jessica and her services!!!
