Obey the Spray Tanning

Marissa always makes me feel comfortable when I come in to get sprayed. Her salon is always immaculate and the most natural dark organic solution around. I love how the solution smells good as good as it looks. It dries quick and I appreciate the privacy she allows every client to have. Lasts on my skin over a week and I will be a lifetime client. I appreciate having a small business in a private small location that I can just drop in whenever I need to !

Obey the spray does it right. Not only is it in a great location but has a business owner that really cares about her clients. Marissa takes pride in her work and it shows. Not only does she work her booty off by being present at her business on a daily basis, but she also does a great spray! She won’t spray you with a color that is too dark or too light and gives her honest recommendation as to what would look best for your skin type. I’ve gone to OTST since it opened and always recommend it to others who are looking for a great tan. As far as price is concerned, you can’t beat it. A great spray that is even, an appointment that is honored and timely, and a clean fresh environment is a place I will continue to utilize and refer. Thanks for keeping me bronzed and beautiful! Love this place! I’m very pale and came here for the first time about 2.5 years ago before a wedding. I’ve been on the membership ever since! Marissa and her staff are awesome and the tan is all organic so it’s a win win :).

The best tanning salon in oc for sure! Marrisa the owner is super friendly, the rest of the staff too. They r very welcoming n make u feel comfortable. The location is awesome too, easy to find! They offer 3 tones of tanning light medium n dark, for first couple times I tried light tone (I’m very fair skin tone) and I really liked it, last time I was there I got something between light n medium tone and it was perfect! I totally loved it, looked so natural, it lasted 9 days in perfect condition can’t wait to get my new spray tan. I’d would highly recommend this place to everyone. This review is long over due! Iv been coming to Obey the spray for years!!! Over the year the Owner has only made her product better and better! I tell everyone to try her formulation, its fast, does not smell, and looks great! I just made my next appointment few min ago! Also love that they take appointments late too! These ladies are awesome! I needed to even out my tan at the very last minute before an event and they were able to fit me into their schedule after I called them 30 min before! This was my first spray tan ever and I love it! Super natural looking and my friend even commented on it :) love how accommodating these ladies are and the price is great for what you get! Will def be back :)

I love this place! For years I had been doing Mystic at a place down the street, tanning myself or having someone come to my house to spray tan me, which was a little pricey, now that I’ve found Obey the Spray, I won’t go anywhere else. Marissa is so sweet and professional and the price ($ 30 for an organic tan that lasts on me for over a week) is really reasonable. I am so fair and her tanning solution is perfect on my light skin. You can make reservations online which is so convenient. Parking is always easy. I highly recommend Obey the Spray, I only wish there was some sort of loyalty program for frequent tanners :-)

This is a TOP priority before going to Vegas or any important events in my life e.g. my birthday or your birthday.
I always get the medium-​dark color and I highly recommend getting sprayed nude. Some girls like to keep their under wear or bra on… but there is nothing more beautiful than looking tanned evenly. You may be shy at first but the girls are very professional :)
Also, I don’t recommend getting your face sprayed at ALL because your foundation/​powder won’t sit right; just neck and below.
I am fairly pale so this place never fails to make me look naturally beautifully tanned xoxo. The only downside is that they USED to be $ 20 when you come in with a friend :(
During summer or holidays are always busy so make sure to call or make reservations online!

Terrible!
I have been to many spray tanning salons in the area and in other countries and was very disappointed with the results.
I exfoliated prior to my appointment and was properly prepared.
The tan application was not methodical as I had experienced before it was a lot of «a little bit here, a little bit there»
I followed instructions when I got home and when I washed off the bronzer the following morning I was shocked. My skin was so orange, my feet and hands were blotchy, the lower half of my legs were 3x as dark as the rest of my body and my chest was streaky.
I’ve never had a spray tan go THIS orange and im not sure whether to credit that to poor products or poor application.
Overall, not a good experience at all.

It has been a while since I was last at the Obey the Spray Tanning… I have a wedding to go to tomorrow and Marissa fixed me up! It looks as if I have majorly trimmed down! She did a fabulous job with the color and knew right away what color I should go to based off my skin tone! Thanks girly!

Marissa gets 5 stars. The staff is always lovely and professional. You get an organic, natural looking spray tan for a bargain! Other places cost three times as much and it’s still not as good as this place. I book an appt a few days ahead and the process takes no more than 10 minutes. Typically I get it done the day before an event, sleep on a towel overnight, and then shower the next day. Definitely recommend this for anyone!

Tried this place last week– it was my first (done by a person) airbrush tan. I did some light shopping around before calling and booking my appointment. I had been recommended to another salon in Newport Beach right up the street and their tan goes for $ 45. (OTS only charges $ 30). For the exact same service, both «organic.» I would presume the $ 15 difference is probably associated with the zip code.
I love the color and got a TON of compliments the next day at work. I’ll definitely be back before any major events– you feel like a new woman with color that great. I’d recommend their services and I’ll be back for sure.

1. this tanning solution actually smells decent! i got back after my tan and my hubby actually said i smelled good!
2. it’s a little sticky at first but absorbs really well after about an hour and i’d recommend giving yourself about 10 minutes to dry before putting clothes back on if you want a more perfect tan (i immediately put my pants back on and sat down, and you can kind of see a slight fade in my tan on the back of my thighs and butt, but nothing that would catch anyone else’s attention — my husband didn’t notice). my favorite part is that the spray process only takes about 20 minutes tops! so fantastic.
3. i am pretty pale, freckly, light brown hair, so i opted for the lightest color they had, and it was perfect for me. i love that the color is so much more of a bronze/​brown hue than other orange solutions. the lightest hue gave me a glowing bronze tone and i definitely recommend it for people who are fair skinned. i would not even consider going a shade darker, even in summer. it would be far too dark for me.
4. i would recommend getting the spray done a day before your «event» whatever it may be, sleeping in it overnight and then showering the next morning. i did that, and it looked great. my hubby loved the tan on me, and the best part is i didn’t have to fry my precious skin to get it!
5. there were some minor spots that didn’t blend so well for me: hands and ankles. i think next time i will be sure to wash my hands and ankles right after with soap so that it will hopefully blend a bit better. i’ve also heard about putting lotion on your hands and ankles before getting a spray tan to keep it from going into your skin so quickly and then washing them right after. i was pleasantly surprised that the hairline on my face and the color on my wrists blended perfectly
6. you definitely want to thoroughly exfoliate before getting your spray
7. it has been 4 days since my spray and my tan is still going strong
8. when they initially spray you, there is a bronzer coating that shows up immediately so they can see where the spray has been applied (this will wash off and leave you with a slightly lighter tan)
9. the girl at obey the spray is such a sweetheart, makes you feel comfortable and takes good care of you
10. ALL THAT to say i am definitely going to return before all major events in the future. i.e. my wedding reception, valentines day, anniversary, etc. i like this spray tan so much i wish i could open up a franchise closer to where i live in Placentia/​Yorba Linda !!

I would highly recommend getting a spray tan from this place. It’s natural and does not turn you orange! I have had such horrible experiences with spray tans in the past and this was the first time I came out lookin gorgeously brown! I loved the service I got from Marisa. And I would come back for sure:)

I get my tans once a week here. Great natural solution. I personally love the rapid! It’s a bit more expensive but worth the money for the sooner shower time!
Customer service is much appreciated as well as there ability to accommodate on late notice!

FIVE STARS PEOPLE!
I would like to start by saying I don’t tan. Not in the sun, not in a bed, not in a booth, not with spray, not in a house, not with a mouse. You see where I’m going here. I am as pale as a newborn baby’s bottom, and normally I prefer it that way, with the exception of my first big family reunion in 5 years. Considering it would be hosted on the lake outside of my hometown and I would be in a bikini all weekend, I figured a tan would be pleasant not only for myself but for everyone being forced to spend time with my while the sun glares off of my pale skin.
That being said, I loved loved loved this whole experience. Marissa is a doll! She picked my ideal shade and made sure I was totally comfortable. She talked me through the whole process and even kept up small talk throughout so it wasn’t awkward. The tan was GORGEOUS, and perfectly even. I have never had a tan before in my life and it was wonderful to pretend like I fit in in HB for a couple weeks haha. And I got so many compliments! It was so affordable too! And very quick and convenient.
I would recommend making an appointment beforehand, and also wear dark LOOSE fitting clothes. Wait at least 8 hours before showering, I slept overnight before showering and the spray didn’t rub off on anything. Also, it didn’t rub off on my white bikini while I was in the lake during my vacation, that’s high quality folks.
If you ever have a special occasion and want a flawless tan for a very reasonable price come here!!! Her assistant is a gem as well, she was so sweet.
