Newport Float Therapy

This place is legit! I love the tanks, they’re a little scary at first. You’re like, «I can’t see anything what if someone is in the corner of the tank just waiting for me to relax and then they’re gonna kill me??» But once you get over that irrational fear it is amazing! So relaxing! I actually fell asleep. You have to try it though to understand how it feels. The water is super salty so you are very buoyant. It’s really cool!

Hands down best place to do a float. Staff is awesome, set up is great, prices are very responsible, and they sale great products like onnit and health aid kombucha.

Very clean facility, had all my questions answered. Incredible experience. The Pandora light therapy was unlike anything I’ve experienced before: worth every penny. The owner is awesome, very informative and welcoming.

This was my first time experiencing anything like this. I have to say, it was extremely therapeutic and very relaxing! It helped me feel balanced mentally as well as physically. I recommend everyone who has not tried float therapy to experience it for themselves. You will want to come back!
The atmosphere is very welcoming and calming. Very clean bathroom, shower, and changing areas. I need to make time to come back very soon!

OMG! I am obsessed! I love the owner and the staff! They are outstanding and educate you, which is important as I had never floated or done the PandoraStar before.
The location is easy to find, plenty of free parking and a warm welcome with great vibes the minute you arrive!
Best float center in the OC… hands down… FLAWLESS.

I’m a clinical therapist who sometimes gets high anxiety from work and the Pandora Meditation experiencer is just what I needed! I was a bit skeptical at first about how the process would be, but Hunter is an amazing professional and guide who easily explains the step by step process. I am able to now deeeeeeply breathe for the first time in two weeks! I’m definitely scheduling another appointment with this amazing company! Parking is safe and easy, company environment is pleasant and Hunter is very intuitive with providing the right frequencies for each client. If you need to chill out, float on by this place! :)

I recommend floating to everyone and anyone out there!!! I came here for me time and it was nothing short than amazing. I did both the Pandora star and the float. Since I don’t mediate daily or often I felt a little overwhelmed half way through floating. I would recommend possibly sticking to one or the other if you don’t do it often. I still enjoyed my self completely but I just felt like I could have enjoyed my float experience a bit more without both. The Pandora star did wake up my senses though and I felt super at ease with my own mind and soul. Thank you for having a great establishment!

Great, clean place, with a knowledgeable staff. I wish the tanks were slightly bigger (I’m 6′ even), but they do their job. The Pandora Star is a nice addition, and your first 25 minute session of that is free!

Great staff great environment clean and friendly atmosphere nice modern float tanks and longer floating times give it a try fits timers and a free Pandora light session to as well just ask about it on your first float! On top of that great !

What an experience, if you have never tried, float therapy, I highly recommend it.
And Newport Float Therapy is a great place to start. The hours are convenient, the staff is great, and the business, clean.
I have been back on different occasions and each experience has been different. I will be booking another appointment shortly.

First time in a float tank/​sensory deprivation chamber. I took my mom for her birthday she just turned 63 and she absolutely loved it. I struggled to clear my head and stop splashing and overall great experience. I got a groupon so it was the best deal around and the filtration system is the best in the world. Afterward I am very relaxed and have a positive outlook. Nothing hallucinogenic or scary. Just floated in quiet darkness with my thoughts. Looking forward to the Pandora light on my next visit.

Very relaxing and I took a nap in the tank for 45 minutes ! Feeling very refreshed. The place is very clean and tidy with supply of towels, ear plugs, hair dryers, combs. And love that they have an online system so you can make/​change appointment without the need to call.
If you don’t like complete darkness in the tank, you can put a towel in the tank door handle so the tank door won’t close completely.

Newport Float Therapy is the best flotation tank center around! I had an amazing experience the first time I floated for 90 minutes. Ron, the owner, is extremely personable, kind, and helpful. Before my first float I got to try out the Pandora Star Deep Trance Meditation Machine for free; it put me in a state of deep relaxation and ease. The closed eyed visuals that my brain produced in response to the light stimulation from the Pandora Star reminded me of the scene in 2001: A Space Odyssey when Dave is blasting through alternate dimensions near the end of the film.
The flotation tank felt like a transcendental womb. I felt like I was nothing put pure awareness floating through space. I repeated a mantra for awhile which helped me enter a state of deep meditation. I love the level of consciousness that a flotation tank environment promotes.
When I emerged from the tank I felt highly relaxed and at ease with myself and the world.
I will definitely be going back here for future flotation tank sessions and for Pandora Star meditation sessions. I HIGHLY recommend you give this place a try.

Between the Pandora session and a 90 minute float, I’m pretty sure I haven’t been so relaxed in a looong time.
This morning was my first float and it was AWESOME! Definitely recommend this to someone who enjoys meditation. Glad I gave this a try! Will definitely be back!

My visit to Newport Float Therapy was my first experience with a sensory deprivation tank, and it was amazing! After just floating and relaxing for about 30 minutes, I slipped into a dream-​like state that was really like nothing I had experienced before. By the end of the 90 minutes, I had completely forgotten what it felt like to move my fingers, and I felt rejuvenated.
I would definitely recommend this experience to others. My only slight criticism is that the salt was pretty tough to get off, and the organic liquid soap provided didn’t really do the trick for me. The soap was pretty watery in texture. It probably would have been better if wash rags were provided; that would have allowed some method of scrubbing the salt off. However, with only the soap and my hands for washing, I ended up walking out of there with big white salt blotches all over my body. But, this is a really minor complaint; if you schedule your float so that you have nothing to do afterwards, it is easy to just go home and take a shower if you experience the difficulties that I had.

Pandora light therapy– I’ve never taken hallucinogenic drugs, but if I were to, I think it would be like this.
You lay down, close your eyes, and this star figure above you shines a variety of light patterns. You wear earphones with funky meditative sounds You see a pattern and evolving shape show, like a kaleidoscope. It’s odd, but cool.
I tried to meditate– stop my thoughts. Was I floating? Was I bored? Was I very calm or slightly uncomfortable? Was I doing it correctly? I think I’m sexually aroused. Yep, that all happened.
Nonetheless, the environment was welcoming and I’m happy I tried it. I can see how people who are better at meditating could do very well with this. Try it!

Very interesting experience to say the least!
Got a groupon deal at the recommendation of a good friend. I went in for a 90min float session. It was very easy to make an appointment. On the day of my session, we were given very clear instructions on how to float and how to use the float tank, it was good especially for me a first timer.
I really like the concept and enjoyed the first 45 min of my session, then I had to go to the bathroom and lost my concentration after that, and the 2^nd half of my session was tedious and I probably got no benefit out of it.
There’s currently a package deal promotion going, I definitely recommend!

I have been meaning to write a review for this place for quite sometime. I had my second session just the other week, and like the last two times I can not wait for my next experience. Ron ensured me that they use a high quality filtration system so you can rest assure that you will have both a hygienic and comfortable experience.
