Mesa Verde Country Club

Location is nice and it makes me want to be a member here! However, I have not found the time to be a member YET. I looked over some of their events and they seem very fun so my interest in being a Social member as well as Gold Member has grown.
I went to the Mesa Verde Country Club in order to book a banquet hall for my cousins’ high school graduation banquet. The person who is in charge of venues and event spaces is Nicole. She is AMAZING. Great. FRIENDLY. Such a Sweet Heart. She is always smiling and her positivity would make up for any gloomy weather or grumpy day. She is extremely fast and diligent. Responds to emails quickly too.

We recently had our wedding at Mesa Verde. Everything turned out beautifully. Nicole Capp was excellent at helping us through the entire process of planning and on the day of the wedding. She was very easy to work with. The food was also very good, and everyone had a wonderful night.

Absolutely stunning country club nestled in a quiet neighborhood off the 405 freeway.
The club frequently hosts events for members (their Mother’s Day Brunch was awesome!!) & can also be rented as a venue for private events like weddings. Their food is good, prices are very reasonable, and service is always top notch — most of their staff have been around for years & are so sweet and personable.
I don’t play, but I’ve heard that their golf course is not bad either :)
*** Note: They do have a rather strict dress code for dining in. Also, although they are family-​friendly, I wouldn’t recommend bringing any boisterous little ones as you’ll probably get glared at.

A little over a year ago my husband and I got engaged and we knew that we wanted a fairytale country club wedding. Obviously trying to not spend so much money in Orange County is very hard. We searched for about a month. Every weekend we were out and about calling venues and nothing seemed that it would be in our price range. Also to add, we add about a 200 person guest count. So that was no help either. I was about to give up on our dream wedding just solely based on the price. I believe I found Mesa Verde Country Club on the knot app. It was the Internet for sure and I called made the appointment and we fell in love with the venue. At that time Nicole did not work there. My fiancé and I weren’t to happy with lady that was helping us but the price was great and we just simply loved it. So we set the date. And a few months go by and I get a call that the lady that was helping us no longer works there. As a bride I was a little nervous because my fiancé and I had already started planning and going over what we want and what the lady could offer. Well little did we know we were also getting the venue of our dreams and the coordinator as well. When Nicole called me to introduce herself I immediately wanted to make an appointment to meet her face to face and to go over where we were in the planning process. Nicole already had our file and knew exactly what the discussions were that had been had. Well most of them, but that’s a different story. In talking to her she did whatever she could to fix things and make my fiancé and I and our families feel so comfortable. She is so professional and understanding. Every time I had a concern I could email her and within minutes I had a answer. Even on her days off it may take a little longer but never more than a hour. I was so pleased with her and the upgrades she brought to the club. Our ceremony site was so beautiful and the ballroom was spectacular. She 100% knows what she is doing.
Now I don’t know if any of you brides care all to much about the food but they do offer a buffet or a plated dinner. We only had the option of plated because of how large our wedding was. But the food tasting was so much fun. And the food that was served during the tasting was the same if not better during our wedding. And Nicole was there the whole time. Because of how much we loved and we truly valued her opinion she gave her advice as to what goes better with that steak or the chicken etc. Like I said, this is not her first rodeo. Even down to the vendors we had. The florist, the photographer, videographer, the photo-​booth, the DJ and the Mariachi’s. She knew what time everyone was suppose to be there and had all there numbers so in case something happened she could handle it. On our day if something went wrong I never knew of it.
On our day she had everything moving. I believe my future husband had made a comment to her about how we are running a little behind and that he knows «these things» rarely run on time. And Nicole said you have never been to one of my weddings. Boy oh boy. Was she right. We started our ceremony right at 5:30. And it was epic. The view looking over the 18^th hole was amazing. And how it was all set up to perfection. After our ceremony was the cocktail hour. And we went and did our pictures. Nicole and an employee at the club took my husband and I around the golf course with the photographer and videographer. She made sure we had something to drink and at that point we just both wanted a good beer and she also made sure that we had enough hors-d’oeuvre that we had chose. It was perfect. The staff also was great. They made sure we ate. I heard stories that the bride and groom rarely get to sit and enjoy the dinner. But ate the whole thing. When something was placed at our table the staff informed us and in a very nice way pulled us away from the guest so we could eat.
I wish I could give the club more than five stars. It is so beautiful and it was everything we wanted. And Nicole was the icing to the cake. She was wonderful. Our wedding went off with a bang and it was all due to her and the staff. Thank you so much.

This review is for the staff and bartender: Very friendly and attentive! When I wait for my husband to finish his game, I sit outside with my small children and everyone is always so friendly! The patrons and the staff are so accomodating and are not pretentious like some other clubs.

My husband and I got married here last month and we loved everything about it. The outdoor ceremony overlooked the beautiful golf course and the reception inside was perfectly set up. Our pictures indoors look amazing because of the all the natural light from the the big windows! The food was bomb diggity — we got so many compliments from both gluten free, vegetarians and meat lovers alike. Nicole, the wedding coordinator, made sure we had everything we needed. The staff really took care of us the day of and were flexible when we asked for a few quirky favors. We sincerely recommend Mesa Verde Country Club — it is just as beautiful and accommodating as many other Orange County country clubs. Trust me, we looked.
Quick tip: If your wedding is in the summer, start your ceremony at 4 or 5… there’s a lot more shade for the guests :)

If you have never seen this club, do your a favor and stop by. Two amazing renovations to the interior and currenly under going major renovations to an already awesome golf course. If you are looking for a family country club, this is the best Orange County has to offer.

The staff was very professional and accommodating as they attended to every detail. All of our guests agreed the food was outstanding! They keep the grounds well manicured and green for a stunning view.

This review is for the banquet hall. The renovation they did looks great. Last time we were here it looks like it was stuck in the 80s. But everything looks great and clean. Food was great for the occasion. Servers were very nice and helpful. I would look into this place for my kids debut or some special occasion. Not sure of the rental price but ill keep it at 4 stars for now.

I wish I could say after being at MVCC for approx 8 years that my overall experience was good, but it seems there are a few people that are either on the board now or have been on the board that can make the experience miserable. It seems a few have an awful lot of power over the other members and unless you want to get on the board and try to change things, they won’t care if you sell your membership, because you will probably lose money and the club gets $ 10k with every sale. If you don’t mind kukuya grass all over, then join. The supposed 5 year plan is to have all kukuya grass and since I was there, there was always numerous dead spots that they said was part of the plan. In the fall and winter, plan on many frost delays, that don’t seem reasonable, but there is nothing you can do about it. Most other courses close by do not have such delays. I got in trouble because workers were being too friendly and they were told to stop. The head pro didn’t acknowledge me for approx 4 years until I complained enough so that he had to. He also gets all the profits from the pro shop. I questioned some of the clubs rules as they did not give me the bylaws and rules before I joined and then didn’t like it when I questioned them. Overall experience 2 out of 10. Very expensive for the treatment and service you will get. I lost approx $ 30 000 with my membership. They get the course in excellent shape for one event, member/​guest, then it deteriorates. Good luck if you join.

My in-​laws are members and I have yet to play golf here. Although, I have had the pleasure of dining here on several occasions. The food is top notch and the staff is very attentive. My kids even like coming here! How’s that for total family satisfaction?
My whole family will have golfed here by the end of this Summer. Stay tuned for an update on the golf course! ;)

Hidden gem smack dab in the middle of OC. I went as a guest for a wine and chocolate tasting and we sampled some delicious Norman Love chocolate. It was amazing. The place is upscale yet not overly pretentious. Very modest. The décor was pleasantly updated for the age of this country club. The view of the grounds from the club house level was spectacular. I forgot I was in Costa Mesa, near the 405 freeeway, for a moment. If you get a chance to go, just say yes! What a lovely event.

Delighted that my friend’s wedding reception gave me a reason to discover this place. Despite having spent 6 years in the Newport-​Mesa school district, I had never heard of this place. But it’s a nicely sized event venue, the staff were very nice, and the second-​floor view of the golf course was cool.

What a great place to play golf! A true hidden gem in the City of Costa Mesa. If you enjoy golf, tennis, swimming, great food and friendly people, then Mesa Verde Country Club is the place for you! Several levels of membership make this the place to belong!

This course is beautiful! Simply the best! Everything about the service, to the course condition, layout, etc is in perfect shape. 5 stars for sure
I’ve had the opportunity to play here thanks to my Dad being a member and I learned to never underestimate this place.
The course is very challenging — lots of trees, long yardage, hazards, and the greens are super fast. One misread and your ball can go flying past the hole.
The signature 18^th (200+ par 3 with wind against and lake in the middle) is a classic.
If you ever get the chance to play here it will be worth the $ 100 guest fee. But invite only.

I have played this course several times in the past and have always been impressed. This review is on my latest visit with my dad, who last week joined as a member.
First off, wow, am I impressed with the staff! Not only are they friendly, but they already knew my dad’s name in less than a week.
The practice facility and putting greens are in great shape.
The course is wonderful. It plays tough and feels great. The greens are amazing, and the aged trees throughout the course really adds to the ambiance.
If you are invited to play this course (as it’s private) jump at the chance. If you’re thinking of joining, stop thinking and do it!

Good golf course. The type of place you play and wouldn’t mind joining. Old school equity membership is reasonable in my opinion. Known for its quality greens and a good short game facility. The course is mature, well-​maintained, and tree-​lined. The tees have been backed up to accomodate modern technology and thus the course plays tough, as it should. Absolutely GREAT, CHALLENGING finishing hole. Don’t pass up the opportunity to play here. If you’re thinking about joining, the only downside is the range, which is downhill and doesn’t provide much feedback when you practice since distances are tough to measure.

It was a BEAUTIFUL day to get married at Mesa Verde Country Club. The sun was in the right spot where it offers dramatic and warm lighting for this outdoor wedding I attended. The ceremony was arranged at the private pool area. It was just a PICTURE PERFECT wedding!!!
The Bride’s waiting/​dressing room was elegantly funrnished and decorated. I personally liked the big arch shape window in the room and was my favorite spot for bride’s portrait. I really wanted to take the couple out to the field, but the coordinator said NO. They don’t allow people on the golf course unless you’re playing. I totally understand that standing on the field can interrupt other players, but COME On~ this couple just got married!!! It would just be few minutes to take pictures. The coordinator still said, «NO, not allowed~» Other than this, Mesa Verde Country Club is an exclusive, private and ideal place for weddings. I really enjoyed shooting here.
