We look at you as the whole person you are. We evaluate and appreciate your needs, body type, stress index, detoxification, eating habits, energy, motivation and lifestyle and prepare a program to leave you balanced and happy. Then we recommend a strategy selected from our menu of time-​tested therapies, facials, stress reduction techniques, yoga, meditation, aromatherapy and weight management plans.

History

Established in 2014.

In 1988, Hylunia’s founders and a group of doctors researched skin care in order to find a solution for the sensitive skin of one of the founder’s babies.

Headed by Brian Jegasothy, M. D, then chair of the Department of Dermatology at the University of Pittsburgh, the team discovered that 99% of skin care products contained inflammatory ingredients. They found that continuous inflammation, including sub clinical inflammation, by skin care products, sun and environment could result in DNA changes and that most skin care products sold as natural, organic and anti-​aging did not produce any clinical results.

So, Hylunia was formed in 1988 to create skin care products that would be free of potential inflammatory and toxic (even carcinogenic) ingredients and that created real, visible results.

Meet the Business Owner

Charlie Q.

Business Owner

A New York native, Charlie has been in the Spa and Wellness Industry since 2002. As a Licensed Massage Therapist and Licensed Aesthetician, he has worked in many arenas within the spa Industry. Charlie first started as an Instructor for the Arizona School of Massage Therapy located in Tempe, Arizona. There he taught many massage modalities, ranging from Basics and Advanced Massage to more Eastern modalities, such as Acupressure and Shiatsu.

Later, Charlie joined Steiner Leisure as their Corporate Lead Spa Trainer. While with Steiner, Charlie traveled the US and Caribbean Markets; training a variety of spa services. He also assisted accounts with marketing, spa trends, as well as operational assessments. Loving the business end of the spa industry, Charlie went onto becoming the Spa Director for two Four Diamond Resort Spas.

Charlie ran and operated Amara Resort and L’Auberge de Sedona, both located on the banks of Oak Creek in Sedona, Arizona. While in Sedona, Charlie focused on many
