Nothing great about this place. I keep coming back only bc they are always open when I’m craving Chinese. A couple times they have ran out of orange chicken, the fried rice just taste like regular white rice w some egg & veggies added, the chow mein is good. The place is kind of greasy looking but the prices are cheap $ 6 for rice, chow mein &1 entrée.

If you really want BIG portions, do yourself a favor and drive 5 minutes north to the Hong Kong Express on Harbor. For $ 1 more, you get twice as much food.

I was dying when I saw them scoop food out for the guy in front of me. I thought, «that can’t be right» over and over again. I have been to a lot of Chinese fast food places, but this one takes the cake. The only other place that I’ve seen that gives big portions is a place that’s 30 miles north from Hong Kong Express and even they don’t give this much. I got the 2 item combo with fried rice and chow mein. The worker gave me four big scoops of fried rice and then piled on the chow mein. I thought, «ok. That’s a lot but he’ll probably only give me a little bit of chicken.» He then gave me three big scoops of orange chicken. Enough to fill up the rest of the container. So I thought, «ok there’s no room for the bbq pork. He’ll give me like a scoop.» Oh no. He gave me another three scoops of that and just put it on top of everything. I didn’t know what to do. I have to tip them. So I get home and I have one last thought, «what if it’s gross?» It wasn’t. It was delicious. The orange chicken was a little crunchy, but that made it better in my opinion. The orange chicken was good, the bbq pork was good, the chow mein was good, the fried rice could use a little salt but it was still soft and good. I left one star off because I didn’t really take a look at the place. I will definitely be back and will update accordingly. Oh and they accept card now. $ 0.50 charge if the bill is less than $ 5

The food taste weird… The orange chicken was burnt, the shrimp did not taste like shrimp. I was really disappointed, I didn’t finish my food, it was hard to keep eating

Cheap Chinese food. its ok. I would never recommend it. like other reviewers stated: Good if your on a budget. There is a money lending booth inside. –that should tell you the level of this establishment.

Same quality and price as panda express but portions are way bigger. Not twice as big but close to it. They fill up to go orders to a level I didn’t think was possible. I always go here over panda!

You get what you pay for. If you just want something in your stomach. Sure, there Kung pao chicken was good. The pictures on the menu were deceiving. The employees were trying to give me something I didn’t ask for. Seemed a little rushed. Other food was bleh. Panda express is better.

I’ve passed by this place a few times and never even peeked inside. Glad I finally did. Food is fresh and really good. Owners are really sweet people as well.

Working late I tend to eat out a lot and trying to eat healthy and avoid MSG. This place does use MSG. The Fried Rice was steamed rice with vege in it. No seasonings, Orange Chicken was ok, but not great. I would recommend this to someone on a tight budget or as a last resort. I had eaten there before with a friend and the food then was passable. I was able to split the meal into 3 days worth of food so that was the only saving grace. It will be a while before I try here again. The establishment itself appeared clean and the servers friendly. Just need a new chef or better cook.

My favorite spot in town. They are not shy with the portions for the price. I get a 2 item combo for my wife and myself. And it’s delicious!

This place is great! I work right down the street and needed a place to eat fast because my lunch was only 30 minutes. The service was very fast and friendly. I ordered The combo 1 with chao main and fried rice with orange chicken. The chao main and rice here is just perfect. Not too greasy and not too salty(MSG). The Orange Chicken was my favorite part of the entrée because it was very flavorful. I been to many Chinese restaurants before and this place have to be one of the best ones I been too. 5 stars for good food, good service, and good location. Thanks You!

This place was the worst! Nothing like the Hong Kong Express on Red Hill in Santa Ana/Tustin. Orange chicken gross. Kung pao no chicken just onions and large pieces of celery. Large portions of fail. And dont even think about getting the rock hard pieces of bbq pork.

Definitely some of the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. Got a two item combo with fried rice, bbq pork and teriyaki chicken. So gross that I wouldn’t even eat it. Crappy meat, it was all chewy and fatty. EW. The fried rice was pretty good, but it’s hard to screw that up. It’s cheap and you get A LOT of food but the quality is horrible. I pretty much just threw it away.

Less than $ 5.75 for a 2 item combo. Good deal. Of course you get hole in the wall fast food quality, so don’t expect too much. They ran out of bbq pork when i got there a lil before 7pm. i was a lil bummed out since Unilocalers say it’s the best food item :( So i got the fried rice/chow mein combo with orange chicken and shrimp with brocolli/cauliflower. rice=bland, light in color, comes with peas. tastes better with the chili sauce they give you chow mein=blah it’s the orange noodles, which i don’t like for some odd reason, and it doesn’t haven anything else! just orange noodles… boooo orange chicken was ok. i’d eat it again i ordered some shrimp/brocolli/cauliflower thing. The lady put all the veggies, and i think it comes with some squash and a bit of chicken… then she had a bowl of yummy looking shrimp just sitting there, and added only 3 pieces… geez…only 3??? sooo lil… maybe it was a good thing, cuz the shrimp tasted a lil funky. my roomate just came home with a 2 item combo from panda express for $ 6.73.shoot…$ 1 difference only? i’m going to panda express next time! i’m jealous right now lol The place is in between a bunch of mexican stores and in the same area as Detroit bar.

Ok so I just had this place… Sunday at 2:30pm. No one is really in here other than the 3 workers and a small family. I am expecting nothing major since its already in a shopping area that has a bunch of mexicans lol They do not have a good selection of food items. Maybe I just went at an off time but who knows? So I wanted to sample this thing that was with chicken, shrimp and veggies they wanted to charge me 25 cents to try the shrimp… um ok why are u even asking which part of the item i wanna try if theres a charge? makes no sense. So everything was chicken no mixed veggies even! just fried rice and chow mein and chicken this and chicken that… oh and bbq pork i think… and veggie egg rolls The portions are HUGE yes. But honestly I would def rather have smaller portions and better quality food. I got orange chicken, kung pao chicken with steamed rice. the rice was cooked really well(my fav part of the meal… um ya usually isnt lol) orange chicken… ok so the flavor/sauce was decent but the batter or whatever its called was soggy and the chicken part(if it was even chicken) was horrible!!! it was like i was trying to chew plastic or something… def not edible. I even tried to eat a couple other pieces just to make sure it wasnt just that one… but no… kung pao chicken… first of all huge chunks of chicken i would have liked it a lot smaller… but the flavor was ok… had to ask to add peanuts on there… i got a veggie egg roll(55 cents) that was thin and kinda long it was fine had it with sweet and sour sauce that was ok too i guess with a medium diet coke it came out to $ 7.38 to me bad deal cuz it was not so good food… and the asians that worked there were kinda rude… whatever! ohh ya CASHONLY! def dont wanna go back… i dont recommend theres flame broiler close by def wayyyy better! :)

Well, not sure what happened… but I went back here and it was bad… real bad. bbq pork dry and tasteless, beef and broccoli must have been sitting a long while, and orange chicken was not even as good as panda express. i do like the chow mein though. not sure if/when ill go back. i didnt even finish which is saying something.
