I have been going to Hair Productions for over 10 years. Ask for Kathy! She is the owner and she’s great at everything! She regularly does my highlights, colors and cuts my moms hair, and multiple friends go to her. Also, Marina is great at styling, curls, etc.
I will not go anywhere else & they fit you right in!

Denise is fantastic! Went to 4 other people (around town) before finding my permanent stylist, Denise. She did a full make over for me. I went from super dark hair to a light brown with highlights! She also gave me an awesome hair cut from a boxy a-​line cut to a stylish bob that fit my face shape, my personality and my professional needs.
She is not only talented but flexible, sweet and does a thorough assessment of what you want. She makes suggestions based on what you communicate and does it pretty quickly.
I will go nowhere else!

I LOVE Hair Productions! My family has been going here and only here for years and we have never been anything but satisfied and extremely happy with the service! I personally don’t trust anyone but Kathy to touch my hair. She gives me exactly what I want every time! Best of all, always feel welcome and glad to be in the comfortable atmosphere. I have been going to Hair Productions for years now even though I have moved to Fullerton in the process. Kathy, always does a great job for a fair price. My natural grey hair is very hard to cover but Kathy has miraculously found the right recipe. After I moved I tried to find someone local but there was always a problem with coloring my hair. Kathy is a pro and I highly recommend her!

Deniece Orduna is amazing. She listened to what I wanted and delivered just that. I have tons of shoulder length hair and went from honey brown to blond and it looks fabulous! She worked overtime to make sure every strand of hair was done correctly. I will be coming back to her to keep my hair looking great.

I’ve been coming here for years to get my hair cut by Jennifer. She is not a regular cutter here, but does by appointment once a week or so. My appointment is generally before work (6 am) and I always leave refreshed and good to go.
I can’t comment on the other cutters, but Jenn is top notch.

I moved to the area in December 2012 and as a woman, I have had some horrible traumatic experiences with my hair so I was really nervous about finding a new hair stylist. It always takes so long to find someone who does your hair just how you like it, and is reasonably priced. I have had nothing but great experiences at Hair Productions. I feel right at home there, the people are all so friendly.
Marina does my color and cut and she is amazing at what she does. I always feel like a new woman walking out of there and I feel so good. She does exactly what I ask for, and makes it an enjoyable experience as I’m having my hair done while there. I highly suggest going to Hair Productions!!! It’s very affordable and you won’t walk out disappointed. If you’re going for color, I highly suggest booking with Marina!

Kathy did a great job with my hair! I came in a shaggy grown out pixie cut and my hair is really thick and coarse. i told her i needed it super thinned out and just kind of sleek and edgy. She immediately took out the razor and started thinning it out and adding texture. Finally someone actually did what i asked. And when the back was still too long and thick she was happy to fix it for me and it ended up perfectly. It was also very affordable for a great quality haircut (only $ 45, which is a great price for Newport Beach). She also waxed my upper lip for me for $ 10 and that came out nicely. Overall, i was very satisfied.

Love this place! I work-​from-​home and usually try and snag an appointment when I have a gap in my day-​time schedule. Kathy is always extremely accomodating, and she has even come in to do my hair when they’ve been closed — what amazing service! I used to waste $ 50 – 75 at my old salons in Irvine and CDM, but after finding Kathy when I moved 4 yrs ago I haven’t looked back. No need to pay other salons an extra $ 30 just to get a «free» beer/​wine. Kathy always does an amazing job (even my wife loves it, which is saying something)!
The center Hair Productions is in also has some nice places to stop by after getting the hair done! Nothing like grabbing the fresh guac @ Jan’s, the insane cake donuts at Sidecar’s, or just a quick drink at SBUX. Fast and easy! I’m able to leave my house (1 mile away, near Hoag), get a cut + food, and be back home before an hour has gone by. At any other salon I’d still be getting my hair shampooed after that hour.

Great Salon… my neighbor gets his hair cut there. They do a mix of everyone, young, old, men, women. I went there because I had time in my schedule and have never had a colorist I really was attached to. I took a chance and it paid off.
I worked with Tim Arrigo. As Rachael Zoe would say, Amazing. He absolutely figured out the right color for me with no hesitation. Really great — highly recommend going to him for color — worth it!!!

My husband & I have been going here since 2005. Kathy is the owner & also is our primary hair stylist. I have also had Vivian do my hair & she is fantastic. Have had layers, dye & the Brazilian blowout. Love it! Kathy is efficient & tries her best to fit you into the time you request. She is friendly, always remembers your name, and makes you feel at home. Have recommended Hair Productions to friends already, and will continue to! Thank you, Vivian & Kathy!

I don’t feel as though a review for a hair salon makes a major difference since each visit is a completely subjective experience.
Now, having said that, my brother Tim works here and he cuts hair like a boss. And I’m not just saying that because we’re related. If he was only «alright», I’d go somewhere else. I only trust my ‘do to a few hands, his being two of them. You won’t leave disappointed.

Just wanted to give credit where it is due. Rosa has cut my hair several times and each time I left thinking «that lady knows what she is doing». In other words, I’ve found her haircutting expertise to be exceptional. I think she does men’s and women’s hair, and while I can only speak to my own experience as a young man, I can confidently endorse her to anyone of any age or gender, for these reasons: she gives attention to detail to the point of obsession (a trait I like to see in anyone who brings scissors to my head). You almost get the feeling that she cares as much about your hair as she does her own. She is a true master of her trade.
And as for the salon itself — clean, friendly, and any establishment who employees professionals like Rosa must be doing something right.

Best hair stylist in Orange County is Jennifer K. She is extremely talented and experienced. If you go to this salon, ask for her. I highly recommend her. She cuts and highlights my hair. Fabulous and chic stylist. She is dedicated to her clients.

I was quite frankly disappointed with my experience at hair productions. The back line of my hair is noticeably slanted. Random patches of hair are extremely short. Coworkers won’t stop clowning on my ridiculous hair cut. Staff was pretty nice, but lacked skill and experience it seems. For the price I expected my hair not to look like a trainwreck. I will attempt to salvage my hair after work today.
Maybe I was just unlucky, but so far there are 2 reviews so you have a 50% chance of getting butchered.
