Flawless Faces

I love Flawless Faces! This is my third time using their services and once again I was in love with my results. The owner Carina is always so sweet and a pleasure to work with. She responded to my emails right away and accomodated my request for an early morning appointment when I needed to make a change just a few days before my friends wedding. Such a lifesaver! I had the pleasure of having my hair and makeup done by Shannon and I was so happy with the results. Shannon was very warm and friendly. I wanted something natural yet glamorous and that is exactly what I got. I received so many compliments at my friends wedding from both guests and the other bridesmaids. I looked and felt beautiful! I highly recommend Flawless Faces to everyone, you will not be disappointed!!!

I had hair & makeup done for my wedding on 04÷16÷16 for myself, 5 bridesmaids, my mother, and my husband’s mother. Susie did our hair and Cara did our makeup — including airbrush for those who wanted it. The only con was that for 8 people (for makeup — 7 for hair) we only had 1 hair stylist and 1 makeup artist, which meant that hair and makeup started very early — makeup at 8:00 a.m. and hair at 9:00 a.m. to be ready for a 3:00 p.m. first look. Cara & Susie were great though, and did touch up the first girls that went again before they left. They did a GREAT job and everyone looked *flawless* for the 5:00 p.m. ceremony and the subsequent reception. I had my makeup done at 1:30 p.m. and it still looked great at the end of the reception at 10:30 p.m. — I only had to touch up my lips all night — — nothing else, and Cara gave me a little touch-​up kit to keep with me just in case. (So did Susie with a few bobby pins & hairspray in it).
Cara did everyone’s makeup and lashes beautifully and it lasted all night, and I completely changed my hairstyle between my trial and the big day and Susie nailed it first try. The price was right on par with several other hair & makeup artists that I contacted before the wedding (~$ 1300 total for hair for 7 people, makeup for 8, airbrush for a few, and shoulder airbrush for 1 of the girls). If you do a trial, you pay separately and the money does not go towards the price for the actual event, but this was standard for most places I contacted, and I’d still recommend doing a trial beforehand. On the day of, they set up on site in the hotel where we were getting ready and Cara even brought her own Flawless Faces makeup chair. All the girls loved the experience.
I was referred to Flawless Faces by my photographer, Janet Wheeland of Wheeland Photography, and I would absolutely recommend them for anyone looking for hair & makeup artists for a wedding or any other event. Cara & Susie were great, and I’m so glad to have had them for the wedding!

My youngest son is getting married soon so I made sure to come back to Flawless Faces My oldest son was married a few years ago and we used Flawless Faces for the entire bridal party, moms, stepmom and grandmother. Not sure how they handled all of us, but sure enough, they worked their magic and we were all very happy with tons of compliments. We all had our own style, but from the photos, it shows that we all were very polished with the same/​perfect amount of makeup that lasted the entire day. I am a very harsh critic and never like my makeup when someone else does it. Not only did I love it, but it lasted. My skin is very oily and makeup seems to migrate south and wear off. The airbrush was magical and the colors and technique were perfect. ***** Five Stars A+ Bravo!
I am already so excited knowing I will look my best again. It is such a relief knowing that I won’t be stressing about anything. Rather than feeling camera-​shy, I look forward to making memories and having them put in print!

Did a trial/​engagement session make up here with Stephanie, but ended up going with a different studio for my wedding make up.
I was fairly specific with what I wanted and I loved the way my eyes looked. However, the lighting in the studio was not the best, and I felt that the make up was slightly rushed. I was in and out in about 35 minutes, and it was only after I got my HD pictures back that I noticed my make up was slightly uneven and much too dark for my face. I should have walked outside and have someone take pictures for me from slightly further away to check the lighting, so that one was on me.
There was limited contouring on my face but so much blush and foundation that the end result did not look as natural as I hoped. Furthermore, the entire time I felt pressured to do airbrush instead of foundation. If this was a 5 – 6 hours event then I’ll do airbrush, but for a 45 min photoshoot, I didn’t think the extra $$ and uncomfortable-​ness was worth it.
Even though they took credit cards for the engagement make-​up session, they refused to take a credit card for the wedding booking (? I even offered to pay processing fees…). Keep in mind they will also charge a travel fee that is relatively high in comparison to the cost of services.

I was recently married (2÷20÷16), and FF provided such a wonderful hair and makeup experience on my wedding day! Ashley brought such a warm and bubbly personality while she was working on our hair (particularly needed when we were all up at 630am!), and Stephanie brought such a calm presence as she did our makeup (so helpful when you are filled with so many emotions and nerves). Stephanie also patiently took the time to help me when I inadvertently smudged my makeup with tears and gave me tips about what to do to keep everything looking fresh. I could not have been happier with my final look and my wedding party’s final looks — we all looked fabulous and our hair and makeup were truly «flawless» during the entire wedding day. Thank you so much, Ashley and Stephanie!

Best hair and make up I have ever seen! I am using them for my wedding and also referring then to all of my clients!

I filmed my first training video for work this past Tuesday. I don’t wear a lot of makeup and started to panic when they were telling me I needed to wear «TV» makeup. I have a few friends who do makeup but was afraid of someone getting sick, flaking etc. and I needed to be at work by 9 am. I follow Flawless Faces on Instagram. I decided to send them an email and ask if they took early morning appointments. I was contacted the same day and was told they had a 7:30 am opening — Perfect. Shannon was my makeup artist that day. My nerves started to get to me that morning; however, for the 45 minutes I was there, I felt like I was talking to a friend I had known for awhile. Shannon asked me what type of look I was going for and we both agreed that a more natural and professional look would work best for me and what I was doing. I received many compliments from co-​workers and I couldn’t be happier with how the look turned out. Thank you Shannon and Flawless Faces for helping me feel flawless — even if the training was not.

These ladies were so great!
My mom and I went in for a «consultation» and trial before my wedding, where Shanon really got to know me and my personality. She picked makeup based on what I was already wearing, and could tell I was comfortable with. She wrote everything down that we talked about, so on «the big day» there weren’t any surprises.
On my wedding day, Shanon showed up at the hotel bright and early, and was able to take care of my mom’s makeup, my hair/​makeup and my two bridesmaids’ hair and makeup in the perfect amount of time. None of us really even had a set idea of what we wanted, but we were able to tell Shanon a general idea, and she took it from there!
Makeup stayed on all day, hair stayed up, and our pictures turned out perfectly!

Wedding day 11−7−15
Make up by Corina was literally a lifesaver after the anxiety I got from Susan our hair gal.
I started out with a trial that Thursday before the wedding. I was very clear as to what I wanted, I came in with multiple photos and exactly how I prefer my hair. I used to dance so I like sleek, and tight. Susan kept giving me pushback for what I liked. She had the nerve to tell me that this is a «wedding not a fashion runway». Did I think I was in a runway show? I couldn’t believe it. All I wanted was a bun with a braids going around. It was hilarious to me, considering she kept mentioning that «she is the best and I got the best hair girl» yet she couldn’t do the bun I wanted. I got so frustrated with her, I finally said «why don’t you just do what you think will look good» since she couldn’t do what I was asking her. I feel if you have been doing hair for «20 yeArs» I think a high, big, bun is pretty darn basic.
Day of my wedding, I was so upset as well as all of my bridesmaids with how terrible their hair looked. They all prefer clean, sleek, and tight. She then again kept telling us, did we think we were walking on a runway. Who says that! It’s my wedding let me pretend I’m on a runway as she claims if I want to. Sorry I didn’t spend 150 on my hair to get a loose curl that was going to fall out in an hour. I wanted something sleek, yet she probably just couldn’t do it. For the 85 dollars I had my bridesmaids pay, I feel they wasted on their hair, it wasn’t worth it. She literally straightened one of my girls hair and did a weird low pony and a messy twist on the side. She looked like she just got back from the gym. All the girls hair looked disheveled and terrible. Susan kept making comments to me as she was doing my hair the day of, «I still can’t believe you waited till the last minute to have your trial done» like really? Why are you stressing me out the day of my wedding. Unreal!!! Sorry but she is highly NOT recommended in my opinion.
Long story short, if it wasn’t for the fantastic job Corina did on our make up I would have broke down and cried. My make up look amazing and it made my funky hair not even matter.

Wedding party of 5 and 2 moms made beautiful for our big day. Carina and Michelle came to the venue and we spent all morning getting pretty together, listening to music, and just being girls. Carina did makeup for all the ladies, styling us all to our liking, different for each girl, but all looking like one wedding party. We all looked beyond gorgeous for our wedding photos! Michelle did hair for the ladies, some in up-do’s some in loose waves, all stunning.
Carina is the owner of FF and she has such a warm heart. You can tell beauty is her life, she really loves what she does and she makes you feel more beautiful than you could have pictured. So responsive and helpful, the studio is adorable, Flawless Faces can’t be beat!

Stephanie did my make up for my engagement session and she did a great job with my eyes! I LOVED them. I didn’t love my face make up as there was no contouring but that is partly my fault because i didn’t notice it until after i got home. The tricky thing is that you don’t get to chose who does your make up. You make a reservation and then you’re just assigned someone. After i made the reservation i never received an email confirmation to confirm my appointment time. I had to send a separate note to make sure they received my appointment. overall, i was very happy with my make up and with the prices.

I wish I could give Flawless Faces no stars at all. I booked in-​studio make-​up application appointments for my mom and I the day of my engagement party. Carina confirmed my appointments via email. When we arrived at the studio, the doors were locked and no one was there. We texted, called, and emailed with no response at all.
Hours later, Carina did respond via email and try to fix the situation. Unfortunately, it was too little too late. I’m very upset with their lack of organization and communication and will not be returning.

Love, love, love this place! Both Ashley and Steph are total professionals and made me feel so comfortable and both my hair and makeup were AWESOME!!! Thank you both so much.

Wedding Day — 9.4.15
This is now my go to Vendor for make-​up, hair and tanning. From day one Carina was a pleasure and delight to work with. Email and phone calls always received a reply within hours. Carina was able to do my wedding party as well as the MOG. We all looked «FLAWLESS!!!»
Carina has an amazing ability to bring out each person’s features without looking made up. I did the airbrush make-​up and even with my «ugly cry» I still looked great well into the wee hours of the morning. I never once had to touch up any make-​up after she left prior to our ceremony, not even my lips!
Ashley is a rock star with hair. Wow! Even with starting at 7:30 am (we did have them stay for touch-​ups until the ceremony) everyone’s hair lasted all night, even with our crazy dancing and sweating. I am not sure how she does it. My hair was exactly how I envisioned it. I felt and looked like a Princess. Ashley is truly and artist with hair. I was still uncertain of my exact style until that morning and BAM she knocked it out of the park.
I also did the two hour tanning 3 days prior to the wedding and I loved the results. We received so many compliments on our looks. Really! Just book them you will not be disappointed. Fun, professional and Flawless!
I suggest all Brides use Flawless Faces for all their make-​up, beauty and hair needs.

I had an appointment for my eyelash extensions and walked in and no one greeted me at the front desk but a girl walked up with a fan in her hand and was very snooty. I asked if I should sign in and she said, «I don’t know what are you here for?» When I told her what I was there for, she pointed to the hall and said «down the hall». I did not know what door or what side of the hall since there appeared to be 4 rooms. It turns out the person I was meeting for my extensions apparently sub let a room from the owner. The over all vibe of the place was unfriendly, unhelpful, cute shabby chic but not clean. For someone who said she’s had this business for over 7 years, she should learn to greet and accommodate any client. Not a good impression and I will not go back.

I had my bridesmaids’, my mothers’, and my own hair and makeup done by Ashley and Carina for my wedding last Friday, and all I can say is that every time I looked at any of my girls I had to yell «LOOK AT YOU YOU’RE SO PRETTY!» Everyone’s makeup was perfectly tailored to their faces, and even my one bridesmaid who has never willingly applied makeup in her life looked fresh and beautiful without being over-​done and still looking like herself. And the hair! Ashley is a wizard. My mother’s hair in particular was absolutely beautiful. Also, no one even believed me when I said I had extensions in, they were so perfectly matched!
Also I had eight ladies done for this wedding, and the process was done in record time!
Anyway thank you ladies, everything was perfect!

I really loved this company and I will always go to them for my hair and makeup when I’m in the OC. They did my makeup and hair for a trial for my wedding day, which was also the day of my boudoir photo shoot & the work was amazing. Ashley did both my hair & makeup and I really loved the look. She was so easy going, made it seem like it was effortless. I ended up using a friend for my wedding day makeup (not the greatest decision as I still wish I went with FF) but still had Ashley for hair, she busted out 8 bridesmaids for hair and rocked all of them! I can’t thank them enough for all their work, and answering all my annoying emails LOL. A great team!

We’ve been doing lashes here for about 2 years and I just want to say that I love Carina’s place. She’s an amazing artist and we are so lucky to have such a beautiful spot to work in. Lashes on Broadway thanks you and Flawless Faces!!! Brides this is the place to go, you should check out their work, their makeup and hair talent is the best around.

For my wedding day, Carina did my makeup and Michelle did my hair. They really did a flawless job start to finish. I wanted to wear a bold lip for the wedding, and she picked out the perfect color. She is really amazing at making you look your absolute best. Michelle did a great job, as well. All the girls hair (5 bridesmaids, mom, 2 flower girls, and me) stayed perfect all night. Even with the girls that had naturally straight hair! I would recommend Flawless Faces to any person that is looking for a makeup artist and hair stylists for any occasion.
By the way, they were really fast.

After I had my trial with Carina, I was more than amazed of her incredible work. She is beyond of anyone’s talent. She made me look flawless.
I also had her do my makeup for my engagement photos as well and did a more smokey eye look. Couldn’t have been more happier!
On the day of my wedding she brought everything in her makeup kit you could think of, she even had straws for us girls for our mimosas too! She made all my girls look flawless and even more beautiful. So easy to work with. Such a pleasure to have worked with her and her team.
