History

Established in 1999.

I established this business in 1999 soon after moving back to Southern California from New Mexico. I began working in auto repair when I was twelve years old with a mentor who still operates an auto repair shop today in Santa Monica. That was a long time ago; however, fixing people’s cars is still a passion of mine. The business has changed a lot over the past ten years due to the change in auto manufacturing and the introduction and proliferation of computer components built into cars today. It’s exciting to be a part of the automotive industry. But the thing I enjoy most about my job is helping people out when they get into trouble. Southern California is definitely a car culture. When I can help someone whose car has broken down and get them back on the road safely and for as little money as possible, that’s a good day for me.

I began working in auto repair when I was in my early teens. A friend of the family owned a service station. I began working there to make some extra money. I enjoyed working so much that I worked after school as much as I could. I pride myself as being one of the «good guys» in a business that people too often get over-​charged for necessary services.

While I am the owner and general manager of Costa Mesa Auto Service Station, I consider the shop to really belong as much to my technicians as to myself. Ralph, Eusebio, and Gerardo have worked for me for many, many years. Their dedication to their jobs and skill in servicing all of the different types of cars we see is truly remarkable. As we all rely on the shop to support ourselves and our families and have done so all together for very near a decade, coming to work often feels more like spending time with family. We are all committed to doing our very best on a daily basis.
