Compass Home Lending

I have done 2 refinances with Compass Home Lending. Both times, they delivered exactly as promised. I did a LOT of researching before I did my first refinance with them. I called many different banks and brokers researching costs and rates and nobody could compare to Compass. I wondered if maybe it was too good to be true, but it wasn’t. Both of my loans closed within the 30 days. My first loan was handled by Marco, Kim Nguyen, and Kristin Douglas. It was so easy I couldn’t even believe it. Kristin Douglas handled everything for my 2^nd refinance. She kept me informed every step of the way and worked hard to make sure that everything closed on time and I was able to get the best rate possible. All the details were very clearly laid out and there were no surprises in the end. If a lower rate becomes available or if I ever purchase a different home and need a home loan, I would definitely call Kristin at Compass Home Lending again!

I refinanced with this company in 2012. I found this company through
, and the person who answered the phone was not very helpful. He had me speak with Jacquelyn Nguyen, and she seemed pretty knowledgeable and thorough. I wasn’t ready to refinance at the time and decided to hold off for a short period. A few months down the road I called Jacquelyn when I was ready to refinance. We went through the entire process and hit a few bumps. I initially had a credit score in the 800’s when I first called Jacquelyn, and I didn’t realize it dropped to the low 700’s due to errors on my part during the time I waited to refinance. About a week before I was supposed to close, she told me I was going to have to pay an extra ¹⁄₈^th of a point. She didn’t recheck my credit and assumed it was the same credit rating as when I first called in. That was totally unexpected and didn’t have enough time to dispute the issues with my credit card company. A few days later with a couple of days left to close, she informs me I needed to bring in an additional $ 15,000+ to closing. This was a serious oversight on her part. I will never use this company again.

Denny is the man! He helped me close in a matter of weeks after I realized their low rates compared to my original lending choice.
I had ‘trusted’ the first company I went with, with them claiming that as a borrower you either get good rates OR good service — but with CHL, you get both. I am really glad I came across this company on that «last chance» moment before appraisal; where you basically have to pick a lender and stick with them to the end. Great experience. A+

At the end of the day they delivered as promised. Without a doubt they have some of if not the best rates out there and when it came to close my mortgage refi it closed on time and as promised. Sure they get busy like all of the other refi people these days with the really low rates but they will return your calls and they cared. Worked with Russ Ortega on my transaction… helpful all the way through.

I recently refinanced our home with David Gramse at Compass Home Lending. I found him through Bankrate. He was willing to offer differing rates & costs & make a recommendation on what he thought would work best in our situation. Throughout the entire process he was professional, patient with answering our MANY questions, HONEST, and available at (oftentimes) well beyond normal office hours. This made it extremely convenient for us to go through the re-​fi process. He really made an ardous, stressful process flow smoothly. The escrow company he worked with was equally efficient, professional, answered questions promptly, and went out of their way to smooth the process. Much of the exchange of information needed was done electronically, through PDF files by email, fax, phone & occ. «snail mail».
